    Fill a 5 gallon with cement. When it's still wet put the failed flappy print into it halfway. The threaded end looked fine so you can used that to attach the arm to. I'm concerned about its center of gravity. Oh and you can still pop wheels into the bottom of the bucket. Good luck!

    • @DeanRockne
      @DeanRockne Před 3 lety +11

      I'd add a 2x4 base under the bucket that the wheels can attach to. The weight of the concrete will help, but I think you still need to extend the footprint to at least 3ft x 3ft to help stabilize it.

    You should install it on a ceiling mounted monorail! The arm would be installed upside down on the ceiling, and be moved around on predefined paths.
    On the other end, you would install a camera, a huge spotlight or even a computer screen. It would be moved across the room or retracted and stored close to the ceiling when it’s not in use.
    It would be awesome and look like a sci-fi or factory equipment! 🤓

Because you can take it apart, you could throw a bunch of them into a trailer to take to a construction site for spotlighting specific areas high or low. You could also use them to support kids night soccer and football or any other event. Imagine traveling shows could light up their shows and take the light with them.

    Print a giant hand for the extension end and you can aggressively high-five from a pandemic safe crustaceans (this is what my spell checker put and I don't have the heart to change it) so, high-five from safe crustaceans! Also you could add in an automatic Lysol sprayer for the giant hand so it can disinfect itself between crustaceans. Not sure about the floor end. I was going to suggest one of those stands used for portable basketball nets/backboards.they've got wheels, fill with water to counterbalance the weight of the arm. . .

    Matt Odle has the right idea for the base. I have a tensor arm floor lamp (it's about 8 feet of arm) and inside its base is a concrete block about 8 inches by 12 inches by 3 inches, which us barely enough - you can't extend it too far from the base or it gets tippy. What you should put on the end is a giant animated eyeball that sits in the background of your videos and blinks occasionally. If it's going to be absurdly large, it deserves to be equally pointless! 😁
