    Gavin I watch all your reviews, I absolutely love your enthusiasm and your seated heats. You are the only person who measures the height of the drivers seat, and this can be a deal breaker for some, also you spoke about the subscription in a recent article and this is never really discussed. This is a great review and I really want one.

    Just a couple of clarifications: the hump in the floor houses part of the battery. This means they can put less batteries underneath the feet of the backseat passengers, making the rear seating position more ergonomic and comfortable. To me that's a good thing. Also: "snöskidor" is not a word in Swedish. It's "skidor", but thanks for the effort.

    • @IverKnackerov

    hey gav, this car looks great. on twitter everybody talks about tesla cars and tesla stocks, but we know that not everybody wants to buy a tesla. and i think there are some EVs out there that satisfy those people. Tesla is like an iPhone. It is the most popular out there. But there are still people willing to buy non-apple products and pay a premium for it! Nothing wrong with that. If every car on the road is a Tesla, the world wouldn't be that fun.

    For long distances in New Zealand, a "space saver" tyre might be OK, but here in Australia you are very likely to need to travel over 80 km after changing the tyre.
    I know of others who have been caught out with Volvo's lack of a spare tyre.
    The Volvo is made in China, but it's designed in Sweden. A few years ago, my wife and I travelled through some of Europe by train. The numbers of smokers in railway stations was difficult to believe for an Aussie.

    • @Joe-lb8qn
      @Joe-lb8qn Před rokem

      Unfortunately many cars these days don't come with a spare, i suspect because, without a spare, that improves efficiency due to not carrying that extra weight. Plus it improves their cargo capacity (on paper). I drove its sister the other day, Polestar AWD. Id prefer the Volvo (Until i realised the hump, Polestar didnt have that) but end of the day given the cost the range isn't enough for me. That is shoddy about the tunnel hump in back, Kia/Hyundais which share a platform with ICE such as Niro and Kona, dont have such a hump.

    • @jeffreylebowski3216
      @jeffreylebowski3216 Před rokem +2

      The "hump" houses part of the battery so there can be less batteries underneath the floor in the backseat. This makes the backseat more comfortable and, being a backseat driver myself, I enjoy this.

    I do love the idea of quick electric hot hatches becoming affordable in the future. 100k is still way out of my price range ever but if the Chinese brands can start undercutting that, that would be awesome. The challenge will be staying efficient with the extra weight of the 2nd motor without adding a huge expensive battery. Rumours the BYD Atto 2 and MG4 will have AWD models so will be interesting to see how much those end up being.

    Why do electric car testers insist on using the unit kw and not horsepower? Using the unit of measurement horsepower works just as well on electric cars, and is a unit of measurement people are used to. People seem to think that when it is an electric car, then the unit kw must be used, which is not true. So please, use horsepower that people can relate to.

    lol pass, jesus this thing's overpriced, lacking any decent drive assist features, which you didn't even bother going into except "lane assist", despite mentioning cruise control earlier in the video, and it really has little to justify $100,000 except for heated rear seats and dimmed mirrors ?

      Provided the spare is the same diameter and a correct fitment for calliper clearance etc., the diff (the only part than can possibly be damaged) will be fine.
