      Good question! The cards are 3 different sizes, but if your phone isn't too old, it should be the same size. If it isn't the same size you will have to visit a carrier store to get a new one. As far as when to transfer the card, it is the first thing I do. Then I transfer the contacts and apps over. Going from android to iPhone, you will really only be transferring the contacts.

      Great question! The phone number and your service is on the SIM card and not the phone. Technically you should be able to switch the SIM card from your Samsung to your iPhone and be fine. However, in your case, Verizon runs on a different band than Sprint so unless your iPhone is unlocked, it probably won't work on the Sprint network. The SIM card only transfers your cell service. It doesn't transfer apps or contacts. You will need to log into your account and download those.

      @Myandybuck  Před 4 lety

      I'm not sure what you mean by "locked." If the phone has a clean esn, then it should work on any network except Verizon and Sprint because they use GSM. All the other carriers are on CMDA and the phone should work if the card is transferred.

    I have no problem losing all my contacts I can just get them back just by asking them. All I need is the unlimited data and my phone number that's all. Also I'm transferring my android to iPhone so I gotta learn how the iPhone works.

    • @mikecrabtree8200
      @mikecrabtree8200 Před 3 lety +3

      Firstly make sure your android phone is backing up all of your contacts to your Gmail acct.
      Second go to the Playstore and down load the App “Move to iOS”
      Follow the instructions in the app and it will move a great deal of what’s on your android to the iPhone but not all so you’ll have to go over both devices and be sure everything has transferred.
      Going iPhone to iPhone does everything except some passwords.
      Once you are sure your iPhone is set up.
      Go to settings, accounts, Google, enter your gmail address and password and go back to your contacts. They should have automatically loaded to your phone.
      I hope you enjoy your iPhone.
      I was a holdout for a loooong time. But once I finally gave iPhones a try with an open mind. There was no going back.
      If iPhones vanished one sad day I would have to think hard about android. It is so unstable and unsecured compared to iOS. iOS is not perfect nor fool proof, but of all the people I have helped move over to iPhone or iPad I’ve not once had anyone tell me it was a bad decision or they wanted to go back to android.
      As for how iPhones work. It’s much like android. And your best friend for learning it is CZcams. Any question about either OS can be answered to some extent there.
      My boss forced me to use a iPhone for work. Already a avid iPad user. No iPhones. Until then that is.
      The great thing is iPhones are iPhones.
      Almost every android phone is different from everything else. Even many Samsung phones have MASSIVE learning curves from year to year.
