I used the Move To IOS to move my messages to my iPhone 11. But the messages were replaced when I synced my iTunes to my phone.. it replaced them with my previous messages from a two year old backup. I thought the the messages from my android phone and from my ITunes backup would merge together. I just wanted to merge the messages. Not photos as I always download photos to my hard drive on the computer. Programs like Anytrans failed to work. I really need to keep and add my android phone message to my older iPhone message. What can I do?
If "Move to iOS" doesn't work, is there another method to transfer your texts from Android to iOS (and back)? I don't care about pictures, because they can be moved manually between OS's without much fuss, and apps\settings are easy enough to redo, but the texts are a real problem. If "Move to iOS" doesn't work, there must be a decent third-party solution, but I've been struggling to find one. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Upload to Google Drive and Google Photo then Download them with the Google Apps on the iPhone. You’ll never get everything but that what happens when you change eco systems

Good luck, i just switched my mother over and she loves the iphone call quality over her older Android and getting use to the apps. She does miss free ringtone but i told her to move on because those apps are full of spam. You will be fine.
You may have to manually move them by exporting out and importing in to your new phone. Keep in mind that if they are on a gmail, yahoo, Microsoft account they will sync to your new phone after you add the email account.. Far as the sim that would be fine to move but some carriers like for people to update to a new one, your choice.

when u etase data does it means that example all your text from whatsapp will disappear?
It wipes out everything. You will have to use the WhatsApp backup
