You can see and feel the love with which they made this game.
All this tells me is that not just adaptations, but more games in general need to take cues from classic films to have great cutscenes.
These guys should make a Judge Dredd game too! Then make them both cross over somehow 😅

Omg...I never noticed the ball shot animation being almost identical to the film. Such attention detail. Teyon knocked it out of the park with Rogue City. They deserve a huge budget for their next project.
As much as the original movie is a classic, I’m so glad they did NOT sleep on the 2nd film which was a pretty decent sequel and they obviously showed it love too with plenty of nods, Easter eggs and freaking CAIN!
(Even though I’m still very partial to ED209 myself)

Fun fact: Peter Weller’s Robocop was so bulky he couldn’t fit in the squad car in full costume so for the driving scenes Peter wore the suit down to the wait while wearing underwear on the driver’s seat

Ah that scene of robocop 2 on stage lol. Isnt original robocop already perfect? You can bring him with cars, move fast enough to catch everyone, pretty much unbeatable with normal armory that thug has, can reason with people so everything not always end up with violence and can use door and enter places without destroying it? Funny this is what people IRL want AI & robots to have lol.

The Auto-9 sound could use some work.
We still aren't there. It's still polished and plastic looking. It doesn't have the grit. Maybe modders can fix it.

The ED-209 is better animated in the game than the movie.
In the first robocop movie ed-209 was animated by using stop motion. You take pictures of an object to move in increments to make an animation when you are editing. So it does make sense that the game has better animation because of motion capture.
But in the movie, the ED-209 robot screamed in pain better than in the game 😆

Between this comparison and Alan Wake 2 i think this game would Benefict from some FMV cutscenes. Plus, is more cheap to the developers

It's definitely not more cheap.
I'm glad they went with real tie cutscenes. FMVs don't scale up well with better hardwares over the years. Realtime cutscenes would mean unlocked framerate, unlimited resolution, unlocked aspect ratio and custom costumes working on cutscenes. It's better this way in my opinion.
They have a lot of work to do in the graphics department.

Robocop gun sounds nothing like it does in the movies? Please sort this out.
Unfortunately many sounds do not sound the same, we will have to wait for a Mooder to solve this.
