Yes, the Jan 6 House Select committee is one of thousands of symptoms this nation faces every day, but the GOP/RW just blows it off. Without a functional Democracy all the tenets we take for granted like our Constitution and Bill of Rights will fall including their precious 2nd Amendment. But they don’t care as they will get what they want.
Brandon won't Fire Garland and get someone that will prosecute. On the other hand, King Trumpo would have fired Garland last year for Not doing his job.... In fact, he would keep firing AGs until he sees actual results of lengthy sentences/ jail time. That's the difference between parties. One party acts with decisiveness/force and the other says, squirrel!!!
Bennie Thompson suggested that making a formal referral to the Justice Department is “not our job. Our job is to look at the facts and circumstances around January 6, what caused it and make recommendations after that.” Merrick Garland, meanwhile, said he’s watching the House hearings, as are Justice Department lawyers prosecuting cases related to the attack on the Capitol. The keyword is “watching” and wondering why he’s not a Supreme Court justice. Payback is going to be a bitch for the Dems…
Nothing is going to happen.... Hopium is Not a strategy!!!!
Yes, it's good to know these GOP/RW are shameless, immoral, soulless frauds. We're known this about the GOP for 40+ years, but that doesn't stop them from undermining our Democracy any chance they get and pretty much get away with everything. Day-in, day-out, year after year, decade after decade they get more powerful and lawless with no pushback from the senile, spineless, foxhole, rubber-stamping, capitulating corporate conservative Dems. Yawn.... No wonder why people have no faith in Congress, all politicians, Washington and our bloated, inept, incompetent, captured government…
Barr was a loyal, King Trumpo sycophant and bully, who acted like his personal attorney/lackey and would go to the ends of the earth defending his POTUS. He wanted to find voting fraud to support his king; always giving him the benefit of the doubt. Now mind you, as AG for the US he should have pursued a case against his corrupt boss, but like a wimp he immediately bailed when he saw the writing on the wall instead upholding the rule-of-law. What a slimy weasel!! Who says the GOP are the party of law-and-order. LOL!! More like anything goes and rampant disorder!!! On the other hand, Garland is a weak, wishy-washy, pathetic excuse for AG. He ain't poking his neck out for anyone especially if King Trumpo decides to run again. Then it's curtains for his career and life....
The real question is why hasn't Merrick Garland done anything besides suck his thumbs. His pathetic dawdling, inaction and silence is why the Dems suck at everything they do. Bill Barr as a Dem would have indicted every person that entered the Capitol and would be working up the GOP chain of command months ago. People would be serving life sentences including Giuliani/ Powell/Lindell and a host of other high profile King Trumpo sycophants. Any day people would be wondering when King Trumpo would be doing a perp walk in an orange jumpsuit. That's how you prosecute by intimidation and fear!! That's how you keep people glued to their TV. But instead, insipid, imploding Dems are excited about a 15+ month hearings no one seems to care about because it ain't going anywhere.
C’mon people, the GOP had 7 bogus investigations/ witch hunts on Benghazi and HRC. There was no point to those sham trials but that didn’t stop the GOP, did it?? Their goal was to rile up their damn base and put HRC on the hot seat because they could. The GOP made a mountain out of a mole hill and no one called them out. That’s how you fight and win the news cycle. No namby-pamby gathering of evidence and waiting 15+ months to deliver a verdict which will not be acted on by a weak and feckless AG. Hell no!! Truth and justice be damned. The Dems can barely cobble together one trial. Of course, no one is interested because they are inherently incompetent and feckless. They have no killer instinct.
This is why the GOP run Washington, Congress, the media and dupe millions of people daily. It's sooooo damn easy!!!

Republicans take more bribe (lobbying) money then anyone else, and they are en debited to corporate America before they even take office. Until we make lobbying a act of treason, we make all congress sign a oath to separate religion from their political decision making, and we add term limits. We will always have a communist style branch of the United States government. It’s a shame they don’t give Biden the same understanding as Biden has a stuttering problem that he dealt with his whole life and explains why he speaks not slowly but in a rushed sentence pattern, it’s one of the ways people who stutter are taught to speak in a certain rhythm and in Biden’s pattern he must have learned as a politician if you don’t speak quickly people loose interest. Case in point, Judge Luttig had a two hour spot on one of the video channels, I watched the whole thing and it was very difficult to get thru unless you increased speed to 1.75, often by the time the judge got done his thought process you forgot the question he was asked. It was very obvious if you watched him for two hours that he always voted Republican and was a very strict conservative, he had a long private phone conversation with Pence and his whole face lit up about how wonderful Pence was and how he was such a great American. It resembled a bromance. The Judge was also besties his whole life with Bill Barr. Kinda lost a bit of respect after hearing some of his political leanings and who his best friends were, he also said he did not personally believe as a judge that Eastman could easily be held accountable for his crimes as attorneys are extremely hard to hold accountable and be punished which I found not acceptable as this meant attorneys are essentially above the law in his view as I’m sure judges are also in his professional view. He also said he didn’t believe the general public had any responsibility to understand the law or constitution as that was reserved for the intellectual group of law graduates, politicians and judges. Most of the comment group found his beliefs to be condescending of the general public. In the end, the republicans should not be able legitimately to find any political or constitutional fault in his statement of facts on the big lie.
