- Its important to note that this will only work in a non-electrified hose. Do not cut into a hose that has electrical running through it.

I am 70, female(husband's pic) and want to thank you so much! I fixed it all by myself thanks to your wonderful instructions...I am grateful...Bless you...keep it up!
TY SO MUCH! After about 2.3-3 years of taping and then just leaving the vacuum cleaner in the closet, I just fixed both ends! You are a Prince!
I’ve watched a dozen of these trying to find the best way to fix this vacuum and Hank!!! Hands down this was the simplest and easiest way to fix a vacuum hose. Thank you for your insight! I also appreciated that extra knowledge on inspecting the hose to make sure it’s even repairable. 👍🏼😁
Thank you, worked perfectly! Didn’t know this was possible, I’d been using duct tape for half a year and it did not work well. This took me 15 mins and it’s like new.
Mate, this was a life saver, really helped and actually was so easy, been putting this job off for over 2 months, saw this video and all done in about 15 minutes, can't thank you enough !!!!!!
Thank You!
It’s taken me 10 minutes to fix my favourite vacuum.
Thank you for helping to save my old vacuum! I thought I was out of luck since I couldn't find a replacement hose for my model. But with a break right near the end, this tip did the trick!
I love CZcams! Thank you so much for taking the time to show how to do this, even though you're scrapping your vacuum cleaner. I have literally repaired mine exactly as you did, even to the unwinding of the cord as it was stuck. Saved hours of searching Ebay for old spare part. Thanks again.
👍 Tells us what we need to know without making an overly long video
This worked for me. Thank you very much. I have an old Hoover cordless vacuum cleaner that I could not find a replacement hose for. Fortunately the tear was on the very end just like the one in your video, so I could do exactly what you did here.
Thanks for the video, worked perfectly. Mine was glued in so wouldn’t unscrew. Tearing it out was the best way!
Thank you very much for putting this up. The trick of tearing out the remainder of the old hose is a good one.
Very good video Hank, I've done a lot of these with hose cuffs wand and machine ends. Making up long hoses for my Lux and Royal tank vacuums. Reused many discarded hoses and cuffs.
such an easy fix! and i was worrying where would i find a replacement hose for my old vacuum. thank you so much!
Thank you! That was simpler than I thought. Just fixed my vacuum hose after watching this. Thanks again and best wishes.
So simple and brilliant. Thank you for the tip!
Thank you for this. Simple and straight to the point.
This is perfect advice. My Eureka Airspeed has a tear right at the end and I have to use a hand vacuum for stairs, hard to reach places, etc. In the future, I could use this.
Very good advise ,wish I had seen this earlier could have saved some money 💲 by just fixing it and not paying out for a new one 🙄
Wow. This is a life saver. I was about to buy a new one if I couldn't get a new hose but you saved me. Although mine can't be screwed but it can hold and I can use it again. I jut probably need to buy something to tape it.
Wow. I wanna say thank you thank you thank you. Watching this video just saved me from buying a new hose …. You’re a lifesaver my hubby ordered part lol I said to him who is the part for cause it’s not for my vacuum is fixed lol Joking lol
Nice - exactly the repair i was looking for - i'll be trying this out ASAP
Thanks for sharing this!! Thought I was going to have to replace the vacuum, but this was an easy fix!
Worked perfectly! Thank you so much
Thanks for posting this. It was really helpful!
Thanks Hank! Worked like a charm for me as well.
Yep. I have an early 1970s Montgomery Ward Canister Vac which I salvaged in 1976 and will not give up on. It still has all its might. Most canister bags, as different as some can be, will fit. The hose could use some work as you described. Thanks!!
thank you !!! I just fixed the nozzle to the vacuum after watching your video !!!
Wow, so simple and easy. Thanks.
Super awesome video, it seems so simple and yet I wouldn’t have ever thought about doing this , my vacuum hose just broke on me and I’m lost without my vacuum having 2 small children and 2 cats I MUST have a vacuum lol, anyway thanks for the fantastic tip, I can make this stretch a little longer before I have to buy a new one
Thanks for the info just fixed my old kenmore
Wow, Thank you. I didn’t know I could do that.
I’ve gone through five rolls of tape. Lol
Thanks so much! This really helped. I had no idea it was so easy.
🙏🙏🙏🙏 bless you for this video! Trying this tomorrow ❤
Wow this is fantastic! So simple Thank you ❤
Great video. Fixed mine in minutes.
Awesome tip! Thank you!
Thank you,I’m going to try this tomorrow.❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very good. I like the part about just pulling the wire/hose out of the attachment thingy. A little better than another video's technique.
Worked like a charm!
I was about to take this new hose back to Home Depot then i realized it just came unscrewed thanks to this video 😂
Thanks dude! You just saved me time and money! 😀
Thank you SO MUCH!
you saved my morning, thanks.
Thank you for the helpful video! You saved me $28.99.
Thank you. Can you replace an Atrix backpack hose? I would love to know if that is possible without buying the new hose.
This is great! I can't get replacement part for my Panasonic vacuum anymore.
Thank you this was a easy fix for me again thank you for the video 😊
Thanks this worked like a charm
thank you so much something i would normally be grab the tape and repair it but your video save me alot
شكرا بجد استفدت جدا 🌹🌹🌹
Worked like a charm on a kinked Bissell hose.
Love this vacuum!
Thank you!
You saved me some big money ! So simple of a fix tooo.
It works! Thanks man.
Thank you, it worked a treat on my Vax lift off 👍
Where does one purchase a continuous length of hose to do this? I have a cleaning business and I use the Shark Navigator Pet Vac. The only thing that ever breaks on these vacuums is the hose and that's from using a coat hanger to get it unplugged. I have 4 hoses I need to repair but can't find where to buy just vacuum hosing? TIA
Hi Hank, my vacuum hose broke too, but it came off at the actual piece that connects to the wand part at the top closest to the actual vacuum motor. I have the hoover cats and dog turbo model. How do I fix this so it will reconnect inside the wand I cant seem to get the inside part of the hose which snapped off inside the wand, it must be glued down. Any advice? The place i bought it has shut down all shops.
Do you think a Beam Rugmaster Hose would be repaired similarly?
Thank you for this video. I’ve been glueing mine with a plastic glue and it’s been OK for about 10 uses and then it cracks again the glue comes loose. I’m gonna try your tip now. If it continues to crack, I will buy a new one.
It worked 😊Thank you!
Grazie! Consiglio molto utile❤
Good to know. Thanks for sharing. 👍 😊
Thanks, I searched for u tube but most of the hoses connections are by two tabs which my one does not have. I ll try this method tomorrow. Thanks in advance
Thank you sir ! 😀
Tnx, good to know it can be done.
Thank you so much!
Good Job .
perfect!!! I straight up teared up the whole thing and put hose right back in. I will have to buy some glue but for the moment the thing works perfectly!!! NO TOOLS!
Will this method work for a Hoover Widepath using water?? I’m thinking prob. not..
Thank you you have been really helpful
Glad it helped
Thank you very much❤ you are a life saver.
Well well, nice one! Didn't know you could do that 👍
What if you can’t access the hose ends? Mine is only 3 inches visible of cord where it’s ripped open on our shark vac
Worked for Electrolux Oxygen. However, my machine had 2 wires embedded in the hose in the socket that had to be cut to get the hose out. That meant that the carpet head would not be able to vibrate on operation. But will just have to use the hardwood floor head instead.
THANK YOU SO MUCH ...
Great. Thank you 👍
I have a eurika boss and need to refeed the hose into the end. I could get the wire out of the end (like you did) but can't get the plastic out from the grooves in the end. Should I soak it in hot water?
You can try that
Thank you....big big thank you
Saved me moneyyyy....thank youuuu !!!
Thank you sir ❤
Great , thank you 😊
Holy cow! Thanks for posting this. Just fixed my Bissell Powerforce Helix today after watching this video!
Thank you so much now i can fix our vacuum hoss cleaner now’
Hi! Does this DIY fix it apply to with end of the vacuum hose? The part that goes into the machine and the part that goes into the vacuum head?🤷🏼♀️🤞🏼🙏🏼
It will work on either end so long as you can make it work. Some of the ends aren’t just screwed on but may be molded onto it. Depends on the vacuum.
Thank u!❤
thanks
It worked!!! Thank you!!! I was just about to purchase one online and thought I'd search CZcams first.
You the man thanks
Thanks, brotha!
Thanks so much from Bali paradise island 🏝️🏝️🏝️
This is great when you're a youngish person who doesn't have arthritis in both hands, but for we old bats it's not going to be so easy.
It could be worse, you could be blind too
@@JP-yt1ek Or have explosive diarrhea!
Use a pair of pliers and unwind the coil inside the connector
Thank you!!! It works and saved me money. I almost cried cuz I’m broke 😭 and my vacuum was a hand me down. Has to be at least 15 years old. Thank you!!!!
Was that hose from an auto scrubber?
we have tape around ours right now, im going to try this LOL
Oh my gosh thanks
Getin!! After 5years of gorilla tape and sighs of 😤😤😫😫 I now have a proper hose well chuffed thankyou! Oh I have a vax and it’s like when you get to the end of taking the broken bit out of the connector..they must of siliconed and super glued that right in there, so I took my needle nose pliers and started twisting it around them (I just couldn’t do the last bit by hand at all) came out so easily after that 🤩🤩🤩
What if the tear is in the middle of the hose? Then your repair would literally cut the hose length in half. But great fix idea if the tear is near the end. Thx for the tip..
Yes. That’s where common sense comes in. These hoses break like this at stress points which most of the time is at either end.
Omg this is so cool 😎
Interesting. My lower hose on a shark is cracked. The upper connecter for that hose is integrated into the canister and they don't sell spare parts.
