“I Was Literally Being Jewish In London” | Campaign Against Antisemitism Founder BLASTS Met Police

  • Metropolitan Police Chief Sir Mark Rowley, has been under increased pressure to quit from several senior figures including MP Suella Braverman.
It came as Gideon Falter, the founder of Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) was confronted by a Met Police officer who said Falter was being provocative when he was trying to cross a road as he was “openly Jewish”.
Having accepted an apology from Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist for the appalling statement they put out about him, Gideon berated the Met for agreeing to a meeting with him saying “they have no intention of turning up to.”
He thought that politicians were completely absent from the whole situation and asked where the Mayor and the Home Secretary were, as no one has heard from either of them.

He set the whole thing up. He had Isreali government security with him and a camera man. He had crossed the road a number of times in different locations. He was provocative. The Met did the right thing, right wing politicians and media friends should call him out for what he actually is.

@@ruthbashford3176 The police were applying crowd control as they do at all large events. Falter was asked to take a simple diversion of a few yards to cross the same street but at a point where the street was closed. The police’s job was to get the march to pass through as quickly as possible and minimise disruption. Falter wanted to walk against the direction of the mass of people. Had Falter tripped and then demonstrators tripped over him, there could have been injuries with a need to stop the march which would have caused further widespread disruption.

To me he comes over as a bit of a hot head - yes he feels strongly about what happened on Oct 7 but he seems to want direct confrontation with those he disagrees with and the police simply, for public order reasons cannot allow that unless they’ve got full control of the situation, eg: yards away from where this happened was a stationary group of pro-Israel counterprotestors with loads of Israeli flags. So what? If he wants to expose the danger to ‘openly Jewish people’ from the protesters that’s up to him. The likes of the BBC have deliberately downplayed that risk, by announcing the fears of the Jewish community on the news and then quickly following up with footage of the anti Zionist Jewish cult marching with the protesters or of the interview with a protester who immediately announces he is in fact Jewish (not ‘openly’ of course). His offence is not that of breach of the peace but the completely legal one of being a hypocrite.

Gideon is the one who got Tommy R pepper sprayed (at point blank range) and arrested for nothing. Julia is always calling the English working class the far right. Two horrid people.

If a West Ham fan wanted to cross the road in front of a few thousand Chelsea fans they wouldn’t let him. If someone wanted to leave Hyde Park Corner tube as ten thousand concert spectators entered the station, they’d be directed to a different exit. This was about general crowd safety exacerbated by an emotional political issue. He was being an arse and didn’t get his own way. He’s let his own ‘side’ down with this stupid stunt. The man needs to grow up. Im sure he knows there are more important issues at play.

This gentleman and his friends were trying to cross the road when a legitimate march were passing, the policeman explained to him that he could cross when the march passed by, he shoved the policeman and then he read the riot act to him, this gentleman was playing 'I am the victim ' card, but in fact he had his friends there with him when he not asked the policeman but confronted him, amd he called the legitimate protest march a mob when they had nothing to do with it.
