    I've had my eye on one of the XLs for a while. Thanks for the review! Damn good shooting!

    XL with a cadre comp is my favorite combo. Especially with an infinity trigger.

    Nice vid, appreciate the comparison. I've compared my XC to several other comp'd tools and it is always one of the favorites. Additionally it is the flattest objectively on the MantisX recoilmeter test.

      What did you pick im looking at a decked out limited P but the xc is so nice lol

    I have a linited p with ice comp and fatter original grips. Ive got 10k rounds through mine. Trigger and other components are worked in well. I have a red dot on my p adding more weight than your irons. When shoot my p and xc they feel the same. I like that the limited p has a threaded barrel giving me option to remove ice comp and add supressor. I think the p is the best overal buy becuase of its versatility.

    Nice video and would love your advice: Looking at my first Staccato. After getting to shoot the XC and a comp'd C2, I am in love with the XC. Use case: range/practice weapon, and probable home defense weapon (no the possible muzzle flash doesn't concern me). I thought for sure the XC was the gun for me, but recently spoke to a friend who said I should consider getting a P and customizing it through Staccato with: Steel frame, XC slide serrations, 3 lb trigger, DLC threaded barrel with the ICE comp.......... this will allow me to take off the comp and shoot it with a can if want to go that route for home defense. The question is this: will that set up be 90-95% of what the XC would be? Or is the performance difference going to be bigger since the XC was built from the ground up and this P that I would be building will be a modded out gun? The cost difference is about $900 (which includes the RDO and light).

    Great video. The one thing the Comped P has the other two do not is the comp can be removed to shoot suppressed. That’s the main reason I purchased it. That said, I’m after XC now as well.

  • @jbsack
    @jbsack Před rokem +2

    The XC and XL come out of the factory with a 2.5 lb trigger. The P is 4.5-5 lbs out of the factory. That's why they feel differently.

    • @magnumsportsmi
      @magnumsportsmi  Před rokem +2

      This would normally be the case however the Staccato P DPO also comes with the 2.5 lbs trigger. Thanks for the comment!

    i bought xl as well. i cant wait to shoot it. i dont think for me its worth to pay extra money for XC..you should get bularmory tac 2 5 inch tac pro. that might be a new contender to the staccato

    interesting,,, just window shopping or even fantacy shopping
    new to the rabbit hole of pistols
    glock 48 mos,,,, then sig 365xl spectre comp,,,,, these seem snappy and helps me shoot low and to the left
    then a sig 266 mk 25 love it,,,, full size and a lot less low and left,, so much more accurate, feels great in my hand , it feels like confidence to me
    and rounding off with a ruger mark 4 target stainless threaded for steel plinking
    my sig 365 spectre comp is not really a comp at all, just ported slide
    Is the XC actually compensated barrel or just the slide ???
    so far my choise would be the XL

    • @magnumsportsmi
      @magnumsportsmi  Před rokem +1

      The XC is truly compensated. The low left problem is a problem that we see almost every day. This is caused by the change in grip on the support hand, you need to build consistency in that support hand. If I had to guess your first shot out of any of these gun is probably the most accurate shot of the day then its all downhill from there. Make sure you have a good grip that you're not adjusting in-between shots and it will help get rid of the low left issues.

    Do you really think a 9mm needs a comp? My feeling is it just louder and more complicated to break down and clean.

    • @magnumsportsmi
      @magnumsportsmi  Před 5 měsíci

      Yeah good question, honestly no you don't need a comp, but it has proven to be faster for follow on shots. It can reduce your muzzle rise from an average of 14 degrees to 6.6-7.9 degrees. This means more rounds on target faster. Again, we don't have to have red dots, comps, or ports. This is like asking if a car needs a turbo or a supercharger short answer no. However it's a heck of a lot more fun.

    man the clipping killed this… trying to watch what youre doing and having the screen bouncing around with the target frame. just overlay the target in the corner and leave it there so its not clipping in and out😫

    I own 3 Staccato's you should never use a Trijicon SRO ON A Sticcato pistol because as Trijicon clearly states in thier manual if the shroud sticks out past the breach face it will cause malfunctions. What happens not all the time but a shell will eject and bounce off the shroud back into the chamber causing the next round not to chamber. Put a 508t holosun or a leapold and the malfunctions will disappear

      Yup It does indeed. This is my personal firearm that is for range use only and I'm aware of the potential for issues. That was the first and only time that I have had the issue go figure it was on camera. Thanks for information however and good looking out.

      Have a P with a SRO and have shot thousands of rounds through it and not. Single issue. Don’t figure!
