I think this might be the most widely applicable set yet. Everymodel has enough detail and flair to have their own unique feel but are open enough to allow for many customizations or stories behind them.
I'm very excited for this one. I bought several of the epic encounter boxes and this one is one of the coolest. Keep it up guys you're doing great.
I think these epic encounters are really fantastic, they can give you a bunch of fantastic minis, and really really good counters that you can add into any campaign
Well the good news for skeletons is that all you need to paint them quickly is one basecoat, one wash, and one layer which can be drybrushed. However knowing me i won't follow my own advice lol. For this set I'm more excited for the big boss. I might actually buy it if the price is right.
The first mini I painted was a skeleton, so I have a certain fondness for them, and as a player my paladins certainly need something to smite, so... I'm just the right audience for this.
I haven't been a *huge* fan of the Epic Encounters maps, but I could immediately see not just the setting, but also the intention and the potential. I've got Castlevania on the brain, and these arenas are friggin' PERFECT! I neeeeeeeeeeeds themmmmmm....

Best one yet in my personal opinion. I’ve always had a love for the undead genre of fantasy so this definitely stands out to me. I’d love to see steamforged games do competitions for ideas that are accessible to anyone looking to expand their imagination and express themselves.
Epic Encounters sets are great! I'm waiting for the undead to come to my local shop. They look great...

I have been thinking about getting a box of skelly bois for a while. I was thinking one of the sets from Wargames Atlantic, GW, or Warlord, which are all kind of generic. But these ones look amazing! Epic is right!

The deathriders, and leonites are stand outs for me non traditional humaniod skeletons dope.

Its really tempting. I am big undead lover.
We just finished a very story driven campaign. One of the players is going to run a short campaign for me to get some rest, then we're jumping into a pirate themed, more "we do jobs for whoever pays the highest" less story campaign. This just created an island inhabited by the undead, and they allow the living to come fight for entertainment. With all the undead I already have, they can have a few fights of low level, and then get trashed when the centaur guys come out, or something...I can see them coming back to this island several times. I can't wait.
Totaly do not care about the (skirmish) game itself, but the minis do look nice, good quality.
They seem bigger thand standard though.
I wonder what the boss-fight for the undead might be. Let me guess, a giant Death Reaper.
Wouldn't be surprised if there will be an Lovecraftian Horror set.
But are there any "heroes" for this game?
Wrong is not a skirmish game, wrong again, boss is a lich, not a giant reaper, wrong again, not heroes because these are "encounters" for your 5e D&D campaign
I love most of these sets, but this one is a bit of a miss for me. I'd have to see them painted, because the detail looks a bit weird/off. Also, not a fan of gigantic "standing on stone" bases.
Me too. I always cut my mini's off their bases but I can't when their feet are at different levels:/ Kills me. Even still, I've got 5 Epic encounters so far. I'm a sucker for maps!
