I hope this becomes a trend going forward. Having the option to buy a full adventure set really is a good idea.

The Aldani actually look like they have equally thick paint apps - and as Theo says the old one had a yellowish dry-brush on the back that the new one lacks. I feel like the images we saw on the wizkids store had to have been the hand-painted paint masters here. Even weirder, the new Uncommon Aldani has such thick paint on the net, you can barely see the net texture, though the weights at the bottom are now painted black.
I don't see as much difference between the Minsc-es either, yes the belt and the armor is better painted, but the face tattoo looks the same, and poor Boo is still just a brown blob on both.
Dragonbait, honestly the old one looks better here due to having the wraps - and the new one looks especially painted with a thick layer obscuring details when I compare it to the ToA Set 2 mini! That one has so much more detail.
The Devil Mouth trap - odd that the new one uses the same green as the face on two of the stripes under the carving, too.
Looking at the Skeletons and Skeleton Keys, they also do not look as detailed as the ones I posted from the webshop site last page... so I am more and more sure those were the paint masters.
Some did improve or change for sure, like the Nycaloth getting a yellow belly and grey spikes, and the 4-Armed Gargoyle definitely has better shading now. And I especially see little difference between the Modrons. The Firenewts do seem to have a minimal amount of orange shading, too.
And is it me, or the Draegloth is now brown, when it was purplish grey before?

Turns out most minis in this house seem to have that added feature. Also all the everything in my house seems to have it too...
Kept buying the box sets until I finally got Acererak but like two months after I got him I had to move and I mailed a box with my minis to my new address but when I was finally able to get them I opened the box and went through it several of my minis where broken and all that remained of Acererak was his head and a hand
Oh my god, that's tragic! Having moved a few times with minis, I feel your pain. I've been pretty lucky so far, but it is not easy!
Oh no. Sorry to hear that. You might be able to turn that into an artifact a la Hand & Eye of Vecna.

Thank you for the review. At least they are all available together, if that’s something one feels they need to run the adventure. I definitely prefer the old Demon Mouth Door. It just looks closer to the faded color from the cover image.
Btw Hitpoint Press are offering a Free RPG Day Humblewood adventure at participating local game stores. Thought that was kind of a cool way to demo their setting.

It's been a long requested video... and I know I need to do it. I'm due for a reorganization of my minis, so once I do that, I'll finally make that video. :-)
While I do overall like the idea of just outright selling the full set like this, that price is just way too high for me since so many of the minis would either be redundant as i have many of that type already, or just not wanted/needed. I want to DM a tomb of annihilation campaign for my group some day, but maybe i'd be better off getting it on roll20 and doing it digitally (what with all the hex travel and unique NPCs etc 🤔
I miss your old 45 minute full set format. Why did you stop doing it?
I'm trying, mate. We have several in production. They just take a *long* time to make and I'm doing the videos all by myself these days. I promise Hit Point 10 videos a month, so trying to fit those full sets in is really tough. The Clocktower videos actually help with that, but it's still tough. I will somehow get them to you. I just ask for your patience.

A cheap way to make "chase" minis? They weren't very popular, hence why we don't see them anymore.

For some reason some of them look cooler on classic black bases. I thought the minis would be a bit more detailed not just a re-paint. They are cool but I feel free from FOMO!

To be fair, a lot of them are a bit more detailed in their faces and accessories, but it's quite subtle.
