In this video, I talk with Dr. Addie Reinhard about a Boston Terriers heat cycle. She talks about when a Boston will get their first heat as well as how long the heat lasts. In addition, I cover what Emily and I did with Bella, our Boston Terrier, when Bella came into heat. The trick of using a pad and kids underwear really helped stopped our dog from getting blood all over the house when she was in heat.

I use a pad inside a onesie. My babies kept pulling the pants off but they cant get a onesie off. The key is dressing a Boston so they get use to wearing clothes and less inclined to bite their way out of them.

I’m using dog diapers and suspenders because the diapers don’t stay on. My dog rubs against the couch and sleeps under blankets and then the diaper kept falling off. Once I purchased the suspenders, life was good!!!

I have the washable doggy diapers and put a panty liner... Works like a charm. Petsmart and petco is where I found the diapers. I got my Selena 5 different colors always good to have backups..... I think she may be pregnant her last cycle started July 29th and her teets have dropped and swole up some but she's not really showing unless only has a couple pups. Her first pregnancy she had 5 second time she had 5 third time was a false pregnancy and this is her 4th I guess we will have to wait and see....

I’ve been a breeder for well over 30 years . I’ve never experienced a false pregnancy but if I did I would be concerned about that female .
