  • Cup turners are not just for tumblers! Use it for wine glasses too! Watch how I take ordinary wine glasses and turn them in to something special with epoxy resin and alcohol inks. After all, wine tastes better in a pretty glass!

      I wish I could have gotten her in my studio and on camera more often! It was hard to keep her still for long. ❤️

    I’m very sorry to hear you’re experiencing such a grief. That’s the beauty of art and crafting though…a piece of her is in everything she touched. 💜

      Aw, thank you! I'm glad to inspire you! My mom lost her brave battle with dementia shortly before Christmas, but she sure loved to craft and create!

    I love how you did these wine glasses, but I REALLY loved the time with your mom, my grandma had Dementia and it is a awful disease.

      it’s been really rough. Thankfully, she is very close and I can see her frequently. She may not recognize me every time, but she still finds a way to be sassy with me! Thanks for your kind words…

    I just recently started following you, and I love the wine glasses. I lost my mom in January to Dementia and I how you feel. Dementia sucks!

    Love the glasses...do you put another coat of epoxy over the top to protect your work? I wear an apron every time I work and old clothes. I worked for many years so I had a few aprons that I kept to use for this... thanks for sharing. I would really love to see some that you do that are a little bit more see through....i want to achieve that...

      I do not generally put a top coat. Check out my other wine glass videos. I’ve done quite a few that are more translucent.

      I open my window and door (to outside) in my studio and have great cross ventilation!

    I love your wine glasses. I have been trying to perfect the technique but really struggling with the epoxy line at the top. How do you get it to come out smooth?

    • @ACoastalMagnolia
      @ACoastalMagnolia  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I do not tape the top because I want the top line to be natural, and not a hard line. Does that make sense? So when I bring the epoxy to the top, I take my finger and smooth that top line down. That helps to even it out. The trick also is to not use too much epoxy. You really don’t need a lot on wine glasses. Try using less epoxy. Good luck!

    I guess I have a stupid question…. Why use resin?

    • @ACoastalMagnolia
      @ACoastalMagnolia  Před rokem

      Durability, for one, and you can’t beat the shine. There are other products you can use, but I prefer to use resin.
