Geezer was in Dios band for about 5 minutes. This video may give us an indication as to why. He's is a strange one; He recently had the courage to reveal that he's suffered his whole life from very serious depression. He's increasingly honest and revealing in interviews. In one recent interview he makes an interesting point - he revealed that the reason band members dont get with each other is very often to do with their wives. If the wives don't get on… the guys cant even get on the phone. My bets are that this issue had an impact on the long-term rift between Blackmore and Dio as well.

Ritchie once said in an interview that he and Ronnie were fine, but it got complicated once Ronnie got together with Wendy. Seems like she never had much use for Mr. Blackmore.

This was out of character - he generally went out of his way to be positive about everyone, including Ritchie Blackmore. The cruelty comment was one he repeated elsewhere, though . . . no one has ever described Ritchie as friendly.

The man who took the Italian for "God" as his stage name talking bad about someone's ego is hilarious. Rainbow was NOT a band, it was Ritchie's solo project. He had enough democracy in Purple, that's why he quit. Ronald Pandova didn't get it. He WAS a sideman. EVERY member of Rainbow was.

It seems to me Ronnie was jealous of Ritchie. After all back then, he was in Elf. I saw him backing up Purple in Elf. Nothing special. It would be taken him years. He has the talent obviously but so do a lot of people. He was very lucky to be in Rainbow. Shut up 🤬 be grateful, and move on 😆 poor Tony and Geezer looking like shut the f up and talk about Sabbath. They are really good friends with Ritchie. I see them cringing in their seats and feel embarrassed.

The myth of Ritchie treating people badly, perpetuated by speculation.
And Ronnie was bitter, a very bitter man who later was hoping to reform Rainbow with Ritchie, unfortunately scuppered by the untimely death of Cozy - another person Ronnie disliked.
Note how Ritchie doesn't come out bad mouthing anyone in the same way

@@Dibbdroid That word appeared in a letter to Tolkien from a friend during the war, in which he was describing the events of a particular night of battle: "...we thought we'd be scuppered". I'm American, but I've watched British TV and films since the '70's, and never heard that word used. I've heard "Knackered" many times, but never "scuppered".
