  • This is my new review on why Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio, Cozy Powell, Tony Carey admired AC/DC and what they really thought about Bon Scott, Angus and Malcolm Young. My good old friend Shawn Staples from California helped me to narrate this story. I wrote this review using known facts. I don't just copy someone else's content but I use my intellect a lot for writing reviews. My stories and reviews represent a great value for guitar players, musicians and rock fans. I do my best to create original and interesting content. Hope you enjoy it guys!

Yep, but he had his way of doing things, I think sometimes he was too creative and too eager to get his way and his vision out for his and the bands he leds best. But maybe much of the awesome music and the variety he produced would not have been made otherwise. His biggest mistake was loosing Dio in Rainbow. They could have easily ruled the 80s together.

Growing up, I was a huge fan of Jimmy Page, Richie Blackmore, John Fogerty, Joe Perry/Brad Whitford, Paul Kossoff, Ted Nugent, Ace Frehley, and many others, but the second I heard Angus and Malcolm, I was absolutely floored by how raw and powerful they were. That sound made me want to get a guitar and be loud and proud. My first impression of them on Don Kirshner's rock concert, was that they were a shitty punk rock band because they looked like dudes in a garage band, except for some spastic kid in a schoolboy outfit. They played "Sin City" and by the end of the song, I forgot about all the other bands I was listening to and became a huge fan which I still am to this day. I have had my own bands and we were loud, raw, and proud when we played. I have AC/DC to thank for that.

AC/DC gigs in Australia before they left for England were epic. They'd be supporting larger Australian bands at outdoor concerts, but coming up quickly. It was a combination of comical antics and explosive energy. Angus would always climb the P.A and Bon would sling subtle insults to anyone above them on the bill. When they left Australia in 1976 it was all over for me. They typified Australian working class principles and were bound for glory or whatever was on offer. Bon Scott had already seen the potential with previous bands and the Young brothers lineage is well known. If not for English and Scottish immigrants Australian music could have been much less entertaining.

I would say this in regards to Rainbow, looking back. They had moments of true brilliance with 3 singers. Richie Blackmore's dictator like control and trying to be the flavour of the week was the bands ultimate undoing.
If they'd have done what they naturally did with any of those 33 singer they'd have been a juggernaut. I personally, love the Dio records the most.
It happened in the 80's to at least 3 great 70's hard rock bands too. Kiss, Aerosmith, and Y&T, all tried to make Bon Jovi records. None of us wanted Bon Jovi records which is why GnR blew up. No pretense, just rock n roll. AC/DC meanwhile, kept doing what they do. Bon years by far the best of them but still no frills rock n roll is what they did. Hell, even the Stones have their fair share of tryin' to keep up with the Joneses records. Only AC/DC seemed to dodge that bullet
