  • Watch as our SMX we built for Mike Morgan climbs over 3000HP at only 41.5 pounds of boost! This is a fully water-jacketed billet engine that will have 1000s of miles on the street on pump gas for Drag Week or any endurance type application.
    This engine is using a F3-136 with our SME Pro-Volute Bell
    ‪@FuelTechUSA‬ Dual Injector setup on our low profile custom billet Intake.

    Made 90 psi of boost on my 5.9 diesel which was leaning on it... daily driver up to 55 psi..100 psi blew head gasket on ARP small studs...41 psi on a well balanced engine to 8100 rpm... it could likely go 10000 ram plus at 70+ psi... returns get lower and lower...stress gets higher and higher... love the engine it is bullet and fabbed metal candy!

    STEVE !! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY 💯 RIDICULOUS IN THE MOST AMAZING WAY! (Why they say? ) well.. it's a pretty easy and obvious answer! -WHY THE FXXK NOT! Steve you are my idle! and also a MAJOR motivator for me to take anything car related to the absolute BRINK of it's capabilty! AND BEYOND! You are the owner of an amazing set of skills! !that I honestly believe in and will stand by! ! Skills that TRULY only a select few could even come close to! And when its the topic of building engines! You are CLEARLY multiple levels ahead no doubt! anyway I could sit here and ask you a million questions about the obvious but your content pretty much answers any of the questions I can come up with other than what drives you? What I mean is When and or where did the door open that gave you access into the world of the highest level of mechanics/engine builders on the planet ? And I guess What I'm REALLY ASKING is was there a specific build or specific set of circumstances that allowed you to leave the WORLD of working FOR SOMEONE ! Then transitioned I to a guy who has everyone working for him. Becoming the opposite of the circumstances prior to this! if that's even the case..... its HIGHLY LIKELY that I'm wrong . And that I'm simply seeing it different than it is.. also If you don't respond to these questions I can completely understand. I know I'm only 1 of the absolutely insane amount of people that are likely asking you to spill the beans also persay ; ) yet i'm asking with 100% posotive intentions. This I promise you! And I'm simply just interested in your story and your journey to the present time! well like i said your work is ABSOLUTELY awesome and I can literally watch your build videos tons of times lol. . And honestly I don't EVER take the time to comment let alone do so like this. So I just wanted to make sure you knew that you got alot of people loving what you do and Please keep sharing your awesome content with us ! thanks for taking the time to do so! ! -D. Reno,nv u.s.a
    P.s. sorry about the novel I just wrote you ! Lol. Sorry bout that. Take care Steve and I'm always stoked to see the new uploads as MANY others do of course as well! Have a blessed day! .

    Should have a double fuel rale system you need 24, 16 for racing and 8 for the street you could put a fuel rale on the opposite side of the i tile or underside what’s Ed you wanna call it abs put 8 injector in from under there and I would use a 1000 atomizer injector, IMO a blower motor should be 13-1 -16-1 I hear 15-1 is kinda the sweet spot on HP that’s how nascar teams take 350 Chevys and 351 C Fords *( oddly those are the biggest engines Nascar allows you to run I guess that’s cause there both 5.7L motors i believe which puts them on an even field )* that make 1000HP naturally aspirated there 15-1 compression and they redline at line at like 11k or so rpm

    I have what could be a very simple question. Why is it when doing the dyno run the engine is only at top speed for a second or two, but if you're at the dragstrip you are going to open full throttle for 5 to 10 seconds going down the track?

    • @bobqzzi
      @bobqzzi Před 2 lety +1

      The dyno is (I assume) set for 1000-1200RPM per second (which is probably what it does in the car at the track) and the run starts at 5100 and goes to 8200, so 3100 RPM. The run is ~3 secs. In the car it would go through 2 (maybe 3) gears. He has a couple of hub dyno videos where he does a full drag strip run.

    • @NBSV1
      @NBSV1 Před 2 lety +1

      For adjusting the tune they don’t need to hold it at full power for long. And, the dyno has to absorb all that power so it can get overheated if held for an extended time.
      If this was going into something that needed to run at high power for a long time and they were developing parts then they could do something to keep it under load for a long time.
      Like if it was a boat engine intended for long high speed races.
      But, for a drag engine it will only run a few seconds at full power anyway.
