well he did actually! he almost fuckin destroyed two worlds when he merged with his original self (Zorc), plus the fact that he is the most prominent (and final) antagonist of the series. So I think i'd put him in the big leagues easily

Most of the voice acting was pretty good in the first series too. There were not too many weird voices or accents in the first series. They really went overboard on that with GX.
This theme pales in comparison to the Japanese version for dartz. The English dub completely recontextualized his character, and the japanese OST perfectly matches his true personality

He is exactly up to his theme powerful,mysterious,ancient,dark,boundless while in the japanese dub his theme is like a sad misguided man with imortality which kinda really he is but it's just one part of his personality. The 4kids Dub is perfect.

Well, the Orichalcos kinda screws with his head. Come to think of it, by the end of GX, Kagemaru is the only human villain that acted completely of his own volition the whole time. He got away scot-free as well...

That's not possible. In order to have a Yami you must have possession of a Millennium Item. Dartz possessed the Seal of Orichalcos which was a whole different thing than the Millennium Items. Dartz did show his regular self at the end of the arc so that was all confirmed. I don't think you watched the arc long enough to know this stuff.
