Thank you. Don't know if you're aware, but our friend Cleggy just aired a video with a fabulous Elizabeth 1 coin. It was his first find. Stunning. If you've already seen it, please disregard. Hope you're having a great day!!!
Thanks matey! Hope you’re doing well ☺️
I love all your Elizabeth coins! Especially the one you found yourself 😁❤️
Thank you my darling - my biggest fan ☺️❤️
Ah, one of my favorite monarchs. Thanx for sharing.
Thanks mate, appreciate your support ☺️
thank you for showing us such beautiful pieces! I love Elizabethan coins
Thanks Luca 😌
congrats on the 1k milestone always a pleasure to see your pieces
Thanks Ash! ☺️
One of my favorite coins in my collection is an Elizabeth 6 pence from the 6th president of the US John Quincey Adams collection. The family auctioned off his collection in the 1970's.
Very nice 👌
From the very moment I saw these on your channel I had to investigate further. Without a doubt they are my addiction by far. The market value has soared recently for Elizabethan coins in particular, due mainly to the interest with the 'Golden Age' that has spanned a wide circle of renewed interest. However, some unique and rare examples have come to light as one portrait will differ entirely from another, this is the special tone that a Tudor coin has, it is often more grey in colour and worthy of note, a portrait may be clear on the obverse but the reverse could let it down, having the most wear and deceive the grading process. We mustn't complain here as owning any of these and whatever the condition, they are a bonus to any collection. I once owned some rarer varieties with dates mis stamped, thinking of these as more collectable, though it seemed common enough and didn't really affect the price. Great channel and content, well presented as usual and many thanks once again.
Thanks for your great comment Ray! They really are an addiction, something about the Tudors that keeps me so compelled ☺️
I appreciate your videos. I’m learning so much and love looking at the coins.
Great video and amazing coins!
Thanks dude!
Great video, thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks Andy 👌
Awesome coins! I only have 1 Tudor coin at the moment. A 1561 Elizabeth six pence. Hope to get more in the future.
Thanks mate and congrats on your coin! Do you think you’ll continue collecting Tudor? ☺️
@@TheHammeredCorner I definitely will. I have what feels like a never ending wish list for coins, and some Tudor coins are on that list. Slowly but surely adding to the collection when I can 😄
@@captainkolt that’s how the addiction begins! Glad to hear it mate, Tudor is a big collection area of mine so feel free to update me with any coins you add on other videos too ☺️
@@TheHammeredCorner I’ve been collecting Roman for the longest time as a main focus, and now I’m just venturing into hammered. Already addicting 😂 but yeah I’ll update you when I get more!
I found a shilling that I think is identical or at leasst very similar to yours with the crosslet mint mark. It's by far my largest hammered coin. The bust is a bit more worn than your example but what impresses me most is the feel of it - so thin and smooth to the touch yet rigid and heavy. Thanks for another great video!
Congrats on the find Stefan. If it’s the same MM then it would be the same, although there are a couple of bust varieties, so could vary slightly :) they are big beautiful silver pieces, that’s what I enjoy collecting them so much ☺️
Another great video😃👍. I’ve got several denominations of her coinage including a nice shilling. My first hammered coin was a half groat
Thanks Mick! Appreciate your comment. Do you collect or detect? 😃
@@TheHammeredCorner I collect only what I detect😃
@@mickdavis8521 nice one mate! Sounds like you have found some great finds! 😄
@@TheHammeredCorner yes, I’ve been very lucky over the years.had my first hammered gold last week. Henry V quarter noble👍
@@mickdavis8521 wow! What a find mate 😍 bet that was some feeling!
Nice vid and explanation
Thank you!
Hi, I have a hammered thruppence bit I can find little info about, is dated 1562 and has a pheon mint mark. It Is 2cm and weights 1.55 grams. Any info you could add would be great.
Отличные монеты 👍
I have one 1580 not clipped 🙏🏼✌🏻
Anyone know how much these are worth???Thanks
where do we stand legally with selling hammered coins...i have around 50 +...some are registered with the PAS and some are not...as for the PAS..we can't get hold of a flo for love nor money...are we allowed to sell these coins or not...all mine are Detecting finds ..cheers !
Hi mate, I don’t want to give any legal advice, as it really depends on your situation, ages of the coins, if they were all found together, within 6 ft and classed as a scattered hoard. I’m sure there are lots of information online or failing that, perhaps getting some advice form a flo that is part of a council or Burrough next to yours ☺️
@@TheHammeredCorner ok...ile put it more simply...i found all these hammered coins from 2013 to the present...shurely they're mine to do with as i see fit...sell to a reputable Dealer ?
@@cassopsnoxdigger614 like I said, I won’t give any legal advice. Where are you based? As I could perhaps put you in contact with a dealer who could help further ☺️
@@TheHammeredCorner ok thanks..that would be of help..i am based in and around Lancaster NW uk...many thanks my friend, i apreciate your offer of help. regards Gordon.
@@cassopsnoxdigger614 no problem Gordon, if you post on this Facebook site that you’re looking to sell a collection to a local dealer in your area, there are some great people who will be willing to make you an offer ☺️ facebook.com/groups/625121854508191/?ref=share
Not to brag, but I have thousands of coins minted under Queen Elizabeth.
Elizabeth II, that is.
😂
