- Part 2 of this how to make a white ranger helmet is going to be the full build guide with all of the sanding and painting steps! I really wish there was an in depth guide on how to make a white ranger helmet so i decided to fill that gap. The only tutorials i saw barely showed the process and even had people playing video games or trips to walmart in the video. This is a Full build guide to teach you how to make one of these helmets. Hey Dylan, I wanted to ask you a question since I’m working on a white ranger build, how long did you let the gold sit on the masking tape before removing it? I just got done sanding off my final gold coat since the gold came up with the masking tape, I waited in intervals of 1 day, 1 day and a half, and 2 days, I even tried taking off the gold from my helmet stand after day number 3 with masking tape and it still peeled off. Each day had the same result, was wonder if you could help put me in the right direction lol . Gold: Rustoleum Gold finish, Tape: Yellow FrogTape. Thanks!

what percentage filler do you currently use? and when you rivet the quick fasteners does it not run the risk of cracking or breaking the helmet?
i run 10% infill, and i have had no issues with cracking but if you dont feel confident you can put a small washer on the inside to help

You mentioned you can't apply the pattern of a visor for some helmets on the face shield. You can put two shields together to make it wider. Yes you will get the line in the center but if you look at the Power Rangers Helmets in the Ninjor/Master Vile Saga, they have a bar that's visible in between the visor. That helps to cover any seam.
Yeah didn't want the seam, Ive combined two for temporary visors before but definitely so much better just buying a large welding mask to then make a solid visor
I bought a very cheap ready made 2 piece mask/helmet white ranger that's easily crushable which I hate. Because I wamted a actual helmet thats solid with clips on the side. It's called the hasbro official power rangers by disguise

What did you do for the green ranger visor? Gonna be stating the finishing process on a green ranger helmet after the holidays.
Used an already black tinted welding visor since that visor was bigger than the face shields I usually use. About to start a green ranger helmet now for a tutorial

I'm thinking of getting into 3D printing now because of these videos and the fact that I can control the quality of the paint too. Was thinking of getting an Ender 3 to start but what would anyone else recommend?
Ender 3 is a great beginner printer but the size is gonna make you have to split helmets in to smaller sections and you'll have to get good and filling those seam lines. I love the cr10 line of printers very similar to the ender 3but can do full helmets
Ender 3 MAX NEO comparable in price but comes with metal extruder and auto leveling features. Id recommend spening the 40$ to get a capricorn tube and PEI Bed otherwise its amazing to learn on and will allow enough room for most helmets without cutting!

Hi! Really inspiring, what 3d printer are you using? Or maybe you can recommend something affordable for somebody who would like to try with similar items like helmets? :)
I use the creality cr10s, I also now have a cr10 as well. I bought mine off of Facebook marketplace. It can be a little scary but they are so cheap on there. Usually it's people who tried to print and found out it's not so easy and sell them cheap to get rid of them.

Few weeks later and I bought Creality Cr-10 v3, it should arrive before weekend. Of course I have to learn a lot about 3d printers and printing itself right now, but hopefully it gonna be a nice adventure. Just wanted to thanks again for inspiration :) following on YT and instagram and looking forward for next parts of Iron Man suits videos. :) Btw, were you thinking about painting with paint/spray gun instead of cans? Do you think it would make a big difference in painting quality?
@@mateuszwagner2959 congrats 👏 definitely lots to learn but that is a GREAT printer. Spray gun painting isn't really that much better and requires a large investment to get setup as well as buying materials in larger volumes. My buddy uses an hvlp gun and still uses cans for different colors
What 1k clearcoat do you use?
Been using duplicolor 1k high gloss but I'm gonna try UPOL high gloss from O'Reilly's next
@@SaturdayMorningProps oh sweet! Thanks! I use rustoleum normally. Do u think using a duplicolor clear on rustoleum paint will have some effects?
@@Aquariustaughtme it won't and Rust-Oleum clear tends to dull metal Colors the duplicolor works amazing over metals

I have a creality cr10s and two creality cr10 v2 printers. They have been the most reliable for me and a great build size

Can you sell them cheap and the costume I've wanted to be white ranger so bad!! Ur helmet is made to perfection!! And also did you make any air holes because I've seen CZcams videos and people get outta breathe from wearing it for less than a minute :/
Haven't had any issues with breathing in them at all, but I could sell you a raw print for cheap that you could finish yourself.

I run everything at 10% for helmets and armor, the only time I've really gone up is the handle of the buster sword, I haven't had any cracking with the rivots but you can add a tiny washer to the inside to prevent if you are worried
