I’m a massive Tommy Oliver fan and I saw this at my malls White Ranger helmet at ThinkGeek. I’d love to see more helmets too. Especially the Zeo Ranger 5 helmet and Red Turbo helmet. I plan to get this helmet someday.
My cousin has this helmet and the red and green helmets we actually cosplayed the green and white rangers that being said the lightning collection helmet has some problems first being it's pretty small and if you're not careful your chin will show at the bottom of the helmet next the magnets the helmet comes of pretty Easley with magnets latches would have worked way better just look at the legacy helmets they were great plus the design of the helmet does have latches on it so overall it's more of a collector's item then something you can use for cosplay which is kinda a shame because the red and green helmets worked great for cosplay

Really you do see? This helmet isn't just for collectors, there for kids aswell. Hasbro has always used magnetic clasps in there helmets, maybe you should take a look at there Black series Darth Vader helmet, Storm Trooper helmets or Marvel Legends helmets that they make like Ironman. They could add in the option to fasten it after the magnets connect to make it lock better cause going back to just latches is aggrivating and horrible and the legacy helmets were bad cause of that.

It's unfortunate that they do not work well with it as you can see from the front being way to easy to pop off. They should have either added the magnets and the latches or only done latches. The magnets are a poor choice and should be removed.
Got it yesterday from GameStop! Pretty happy with it it’s pretty small only thing I got a problem with is that the clasps are not real and if I move my chin the helmet will pop open.

It might. You can adjust the head straps quite a bit and there is room to spare in the bottom. But like I said, it could prove difficult for people with larger heads.

Luckily I got $25 off mine with a GameStop gift card, so I'm not that upset about not being able to wear it. If I paid the full $80 then I want a wearable and collectible helmet. The old line of helmets from Bandai fit fine!

What? Haha! The Green Ranger helmet is not supposed to be smushed in like that. Look at any legitimate replicas. It’s not a big deal in the long run. I still love that they made the helmet. I know the Red Ranger one is not supposed to have a matte finish. I just like how it looks on camera and it doesn’t get smudged easily.
Hasbro has always done there helmets with magnets, every single one of there helmets has magnetic clasps, there not going to use something so archaic as just latches, now they could compromise and add in the latches to lock it up after the magnets connect but it's not going back to just latches because of multiple reasons. It's archaic, not convenient, kids will have problems with it and yes kids will likely buy it since there parents buy Hasbros Storm trooper, Darth Vader, Ironman helmets for them. These helmets aren't technically just for collectors, I know because I know moms who buy there kids these helmets by Hasbro to wear for Halloween and such.
The magnets here are potentially dangerous and a big design flaw. The clasps are a much simpler and effective way to go. These helmets, like the legacy line, are made for older collectors. It says 18+ on the box. Not saying kids wouldn’t wear these, but they aren’t aimed towards them. Plus the helmet snapping shut like it does can hurt a kid very easily. If Hasbro has always used magnets in this same capacity for higher quality items, it’s time for a redesign.
@@WalterCulture not to sound like a smart ass but maybe take a look at Hasbros Darth Vader helmet, Storm trooper helmet, Marvel Legends Iron Man helmet, all of em have magnetic clasps and have been using em for 5 years. It's not a design flaw if it works. Plus it's Hasbros first time with a power ranger helmet, in time they will do adjusting. If they put both the latches and magnets on, it could work very well.
I just looked at the Star Wars and Iron Man helmets. Those aren’t even close to the same thing. The functionality of the magnets on those helmets are not used in the same way at all. The Power Ranger helmets are designed to split down the middle by the ears. Putting a magnet there can cause it to shut on accident and if you’re not careful, your ears could get caught. Especially if a younger kid is putting it on unsupervised. Plus, the helmet splits open too easily with only slight pressure. Like if you’re just trying to adjust it on your head, it can pop open. The clasps are part of the design for a reason and putting them on there as decoration was a weird decision as well. A lot of the helmets in the Super Sentai footage have the clasps on the inside so why bother with the fake ones here? I’d rather not see the magnets back if they make any more PR helmets. Still hope they do regardless, but it’s a problem for me and potentially other people.
@@WalterCulture maybe if you read my comment better, I said they could improve the helmet by keeping the magnets and implementing the original clasps in aswell so that they aren't just for looks. The magnets make it easy to connect compared to the legacy, which was a pain.
I read your comment just fine. Let me be clearer for you. I don’t like the magnets the way they’re used right now in any capacity. Adding the clasps in combination won’t change that. I’d rather take an extra second to secure the helmet than getting my ear crushed.
