My intention was to display this which is why I didn't put it on. I should have for the video though. For that I apologize. I'll try to make it up with a brief review. The helmet is tight and difficult to breath in without fogging. This is unfortunately typical for the white ranger helmet. The design doesn't have the mouth overlap with holes to help breath like the others. Hasbro attempted to fix this with the cut out on the chin. This is a case of "Sometimes you have to sacrifice function for beauty!" The head brace inside is a huge upgrade from the Bandai versions. The straps are more solid and the adjusting wheel is an appreciated addition. They also don't have the tendency to fall out like prior versions. The visor could use a bit darker tint but in regular light it honestly doesn't look that bad. Overall, its a great first drop for Hasbro and I look forward to more coming!
I purchased this helmet myself for my birthday and i am happy with the quality of it despite the little flaws, but the one big flaw that i really noticed was how tight it is upon wearing the helmet its very tight around the sides and it catches my ears at times. But over all still satisfied i hope they do a blue ranger helmet
If you want a TV show accurate helmet, the best place to get it is from Aniki Cosplay which is where I bought mine for my Power Ranger costumes and for display. It's not a toy so it is pricey but the quality and screen accuracy is well worth it.

@@ericgarcia5400 Aniki's quality is unmatched .. however there are plenty of other propmakers out there. While 7-8 months might be the minimum for some , some people have to wait a year or even 2 years for Aniki's stuff to get back. Granted Aniki did say he was making/made staffing changes to reduce wait time. Wildranger5 makes the helmets superbly accurate and has good turnaround. Although the Hasbro White Ranger helmet is closer in size to an actual prop and not oversized/inaccurate like the two from Bandai, it is still missing a good portion of the chin. Depending on your face/jaw length your chin can still be visible in this helmet. The bottom part isn't accurate at all. But that is really it. For the price it is miles better than the two from Bandai. The Red Ranger Hasbro helmet is more accurate than its Bandai counterpart. However the mouth section is too dark and the visor is very see-through.. Point is you get what you pay for...
mysterybat35 I do agree that sometimes they do take 2 years but if you pay for the express like I did I’ve heard many people say you’ll get them with in 5 months but that does make the price 425 dollars not including shipping I have seen wild ranger 5 his work is amazing but I do this his helmet are a little inaccurate and his paint is not as good as Aniki but I have messaged him recently about a month ago and even he told me a helmet would take about 8 months to make now that he’s so popular
I was happy when Hasbro announced that we were getting a white ranger helmet for the Lightning Collection. Mine happened to arrive today and I was pretty satisfied with my purchase. I’ve been hoping that someday we would get a helmet to go with Saba and this helmet will go perfectly with it. It fits a little small and since I intended for it to be a part of my collection, the size isn’t a huge deal. I just wish they could have made it the same size as the red ranger helmet because that one was the perfect size.
All MMPR helmets would be cool to be done on this version, but aside from those some of the most interesting helmets to me in terms of sculpting are the Wild Force ones,
There is a "legacy mask collection" set for mighty Morphin power rangers. Same scale as the star wars ones I think. You can score one for $60 or under on occasion.

As far as the base, I like it being small but if you wanted to put it on shoulders Amazon sells a foam shoulders and head that can be customized to look like a 1:1 bust. If you can sew you could do some neat stuff with that

So it's the equivalent of their Black Series Helmets for Star Wars. Decent hybrid between toy and screen accurate. A screen accurate Boba Fett helmet is around $2k, Black Series around $120.
Love the helmet. Was super stoaked when i got mine. Wish it fit me better. Red ranger legacy fits me perfect. Green is ok.. Just the neck is too narrow. But they look sick on my wall with their weapons

I got it and yeah the paint job is bad with gold paint overlapping the mouthpiece and the box was like already open so not sure if anyone open it already.the legacy one has better quality.but this helmet easier to wear
sorry dude gotta disagree with this whole thing, unless you have held the in show helmets how can you say if the scale of the bandai ones are off, i think there spot on and perfect for cosply white ranger included, and how you keep referring to them as toys, what were you expecting at that price from a mass production product, all i would say is the visor is too see through on the white ranger helmet other then that spot on yet again and i will joyfully purchase mine when i get the chance
I have held the show helmets. Like I mentioned in the video, I have a helmet that was molded from the stunt helmets from the show. The scale is definitely off. That's not to say its a bad thing. If the Bandai helmets worked for you in terms of fit, great!. In fact, they made them bigger in order for the cosplayer to breath better. That makes sense of course. However, in my case and like mentioned in the video, these are for display purposes. I would prefer them the be the correct size from the show. I agree with you on the mass production part. We are to expect them to be the quality that they are for $70-$80. Again, as mentioned in the video. Although some of the qc problems aren't as acceptable like the different color whites. Agree on the visor as well. With that said this definitely shouldn't have been interpreted to dissuade you from purchasing. It's a great show piece or wearable helmet. Although, the white helmet in particular is harder to wear without breathing problems compared to the others because it doesn't have a mouth overlap that has holes drilled out for breathing.

(Alien Rangers, In Space, Lightspeed Rescue, Wildforce, Ninja Storm, Dinothunder, SPD, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury, RPM, Samurai, Super Megaforce, Dinocharge, Ninja Steel, & Beast Morphers) A shame if that proves to be the case...I really wanna see them take a crack at a Lightning Collection Dinothunder White Ranger helmet. (The existing MMPR White Ranger back half would be an easy base, it can be the back for just about any other white helmet)
Well I think they were made a bit bigger to be able to help the visor won't get as foggy as quickly as in a prop maker helmet like Aniki's, which I own a green ranger helmet from him as well as the to MMPR red and green helmet (only the 2017 movie one I passed), and the with Aniki's while their spot on accurate to the ones on the show, you gotta be crazy thin to wear them since mine won't fit me for like 1.5 to 2 cm, because of the width of my neck and the size of my head. While the red one from Bandai fits me fine, but the green one from Bandai won't close without chocking me, because of how far back the split is, making the back hole a tight fit and because unlike the red one that has and all circle neck cut in the bottom, the green one hat an straight line cut in the back instead of a normal curvature like on the red one, reducing a lot of the neck space. So bottom line to the the bandai one size war fine to me being somewhat larger because that meant the visor shouldn't get as foggy as quickly and you wouldn't die from chocking or suffocation because of the small neck hole or amount of air inside.

@@NerdTherapy yeah I understand but is always nice to be able to wear them for like halloween which I did for the 2018 and 2017. But not as and actual ranger suit but the green with a green ranger hoodie and red one with a formal suit of red tie, white shirts and black pants a blazer, for an informa and forma dressing ranger, for the halloween partes at my job.
I always noticed the chin part in this White Ranger's helmet since it's first picture came out, and personaly, i don't like it, the guy's chin show up under the helmet.

In regards to mmpr, the White ranger suit was my favorite (would love a decent quality release of the white ranger shield). On screen the gold looks accurate to what I remember of the actual white ranger helmet. That being said.. Unfortunately, it looks worse quality than the marvel legends helmets (not sure if those are also made by hasbro) As for what helmet(s) i wish got a release: 1. In space silver (all 6 rangers ideally) preferably with a light up feature like on the season. 2. All 6 from time force also with a light up feature similar (doubt they could make it screen accurate) like on the season. 3. Spd helmets (because dekaranger was the first super sentai season I watched in its entirety)
@@NerdTherapy I remember back in the 90's there was a white ranger Halloween costume that had a separate rubber shield that was tied in the back (I think) it was a pretty nice quality and a lot better that what has been released since (i had one).
If Hasbro releases a Green Ranger version of their helmet I would definitely buy it. I love my Bandai Green Ranger helmet but I agree the sizing is off.
Im a huge fan of mmpr and I got one and i think its a down grade from bandi....its way too small dosnt even close on my head and my chin sticks out the....magnets make it feel cheap and toyish....paint job could've been better.....but i will say i really like the head strap for it.....for me overall a good collectable/display helmet not good for cosplay.

It really depends on the helmet, some designs are terrible regarding visibility, others are pretty great.
The helmet’s visors are mainly like black sunglasses. As you can see through them while wearing it but people cannot see your eyes.

Well I think they were made a bit bigger to be able to help the visor won't get as foggy as quickly as in a prop maker helmet like Aniki's, which I own a green ranger helmet from him as well as the to MMPR red and green helmet (only the 2017 movie one I passed), and the with Aniki's while their spot on accurate to the ones on the show, you gotta be crazy thin to wear them since mine won't fit me for like 1.5 to 2 cm, because of the width of my neck and the size of my head. While the red one from Bandai fits me fine, but the green one from Bandai won't close without chocking me, because of how far back the split is, making the back hole a tight fit and because unlike the red one that has and all circle neck cut in the bottom, the green one hat an straight line cut in the back instead of a normal curvature like on the red one, reducing a lot of the neck space. So bottom line to the the bandai one size war fine to me being somewhat larger because that meant the visor shouldn't get as foggy as quickly and you wouldn't die from chocking or suffocation because of the small neck hole or amount of air inside.
No doubt. They were definitely made bigger to be more wearable. It's a wonder how they wore them on the show! My opinion will vary on these because im just going to display them
@@NerdTherapy yeah I understand but is always nice to be able to wear them for like halloween which I did for the 2018 and 2017. But not as and actual ranger suit but the green with a green ranger hoodie and red one with a formal suit of red tie, white shirts and black pants a blazer, for an informa and forma dressing ranger, for the halloween partes at my job.

Personally I like the bigger helmets because I have a bigger head. I got the Drakkon helmet and it won't close. :/ So it's purely a display only.
I always noticed the chin part in this White Ranger's helmet since it's first picture came out, and personaly, i don't like it, the guy's chin show up under the helmet.

In regards to mmpr, the White ranger suit was my favorite (would love a decent quality release of the white ranger shield). On screen the gold looks accurate to what I remember of the actual white ranger helmet. That being said.. Unfortunately, it looks worse quality than the marvel legends helmets (not sure if those are also made by hasbro)
As for what helmet(s) i wish got a release: 1. In space silver (all 6 rangers ideally) preferably with a light up feature like on the season. 2. All 6 from time force also with a light up feature similar (doubt they could make it screen accurate) like on the season. 3. Spd helmets (because dekaranger was the first super sentai season I watched in its entirety)
A collector shield would be a really neat idea. Im not sure how they would execute it but I would be down
@@NerdTherapy I remember back in the 90's there was a white ranger Halloween costume that had a separate rubber shield that was tied in the back (I think) it was a pretty nice quality and a lot better that what has been released since (i had one).
the bandai helmets look like they just scanned the original toys and made them from that.

If Hasbro releases a Green Ranger version of their helmet I would definitely buy it. I love my Bandai Green Ranger helmet but I agree the sizing is off.

Im a huge fan of mmpr and I got one and i think its a down grade from bandi....its way too small dosnt even close on my head and my chin sticks out the....magnets make it feel cheap and toyish....paint job could've been better.....but i will say i really like the head strap for it.....for me overall a good collectable/display helmet not good for cosplay.

I'm not a helmet or bust fan myself. I much prefer to have a full figure, art print, or statue. That stinks that it feels like a toy.
