I don’t like this style of singing. The melody is destroyed for their vocal theatrics. in other words, they need to show off so bad that they destroy the music. I know a lot of people enjoy this, I think it’s narcissistic. Of course many other singers can sing like this, they choose to stay true to the song. Edited to add: The intolerable screeching at the end tells me she’s singing from her throat. Yuck. She’s got a lot of range and power but she is a terrible singer. That’s what people want though so what are you going to do?

Its more than just show-offing, I call her a vocal - artist and she is a very musical person. When it comes to singing her songs, everything she does makes seanse to the song's structure. Thats why she is one of the greatest singer of all time, not only because she has a great voice and range, but because she is so musical and creative with melodies. She's on a next level.
Why is EVERYONE so easily offended if someone dares post disagreements with the hordes? Mariah Carey is a great singer but her runs are muddling the notes live compared to the recorded version, which she didn't rely on. Love this channel.
