This is really useful. Thank you! Adding my 2 cents, if you have multiple cuts of the same video in the timeline, the slip editor for one of the cuts will show you the parts of the video covered by the other cuts grayed out. Perfect to avoid overlaps.

This is an extremely handy tool when you’re almost done and want to slightly alter a clip. Especially if you edited to a music clip. 👍

I’ve been using Lumafusion since the iPhone7, but now im using it on an iphone13. But the UI changed for filters. it used to be a scroll down list but now I have to scroll to the side and that’s a bit annoying. But other than that this had been the best video editing software i’ve ever had!

Hi, I’m a relatively new user and love these videos. I do not have an iPad yet so use an iPhone exclusively. The question I have is - is there a way to remove a clip rather than just replace it - without disrupting the rest of the timeline? Thank you for your help
Yes you can. First off, if you have any trouble finding particular icons, tap and hold the question mark inside of a gear icon. Holding Help and Settings will display the name of all the other available icons. Also, since you're on an iPhone, make sure you're holding it in landscape for this, as some icons are hidden in the portrait orientation.
Make sure your Headers are toggled on by tapping Headers. On the main track, you'll see an arrow pointing right or down. This is your Insert/Overwrite toggle. Tap the icon so the arrow is facing down and you'll be in Overwrite mode. Now, when you delete a clip, it will leave a blank space. If you switch back to Insert Mode, a Blank clip will be created.
If you delete a clip and others go with it, they are probably linked. Select the clip you want to delete and tap link/unlink.

I like your short videos on how to so thanks. Any idea when we are getting any updates by the Luma Touch guys? It’s been a very very very long time since they showed off the multi cam and speed ramping features yet absolutely nothing new has been released.
Glad you're enjoying the video series! We're hard at work at LumFusion 3.1. Look forward to sharing the release once it's available. No release date to share at the moment. Multicam and other advanced features like speed ramping will come after the 3.1 release.

Is there a way to remove a split-clip or combine the clips again after I am past a the point of using the undo?
Not yet but we do have that on our our request tracker and we'll add a tally for your comment.
In the meantime, there is an alternative that will give you the same result. Switch the Timeline to Overwrite Mode and delete one of the two clips you wanted to merge together. In the empty space, grab the end of the other clip and drag it out to fill. Your two clips are back to one. It takes a little longer but it works. 👍

This didnt use to happen… now when om making a cut and deleting the excessive lenght of the clip, the timeline stands still. It used to jump back to/follow the clip i was cutting. Whats happened? Is it a bug form an udate? Is it the new normal for Luma?
Edit:
This only happens when i drag the clip i want to delete. Not when i press backspase/delete on the keyboard.
It sounds like your Timeline was switched to Overwrite Mode. Please check the Header on the Timeline and ensure you're in Insert Mode. If you are, we may need a LumaFusion expert to have a look. Please email support@luma-touch.com so we can help figure out what is going on.

All day I can not export the video to lumafusion.😠the file is calculated but not exported anywhere after which lumafusion closes🙄😤😠. latest version on ipad.

We don't have a release date yet, since LumaFusion for Android and Chrome OS is still in development. Once that phase is complete, we'll have more info for you.
