All I want to do is 1 mark begin point of some segment, 2 mark end point, 3 delete. Why is it I pay $30 for this app and removing bad parts of my video is like a goddam sacred mystery. I don't think in terms of "clips" and "trim". I have a video on my phone and just want to remove the bad parts. HOW? 2:00 on is clear as mud. How does it know the beginning and end points of the "sections" in advance? If only Lexis would do video not just audio, because they know how to design a user interface on a phone.

In the video at 2:00, Caroline is looking at the waveforms for the audio, which show clearly the 'sections' where the subject is talking steadily, and where there's a pause--this is not automatic, but is a quick way to move through an edit where you know you're taking out the non-talking bits.
