I have one of these and been using them for months. And as the other commenter here said, the chatgpt feature is not so useful as you need to have it turned on to use it. When its turned on you really cant use much of anything. You need to go to your phone to turn it off or on. What I do is use siri and link it with chatgpt using shortcuts. Works way better. I found the sound ok but in a quiet room the sound bleed is strong so people will hear everything you hear. In noisier places its ok since its gets swamped by other sounds. My biggest wish here is if you can turn on the built in chatgpt through the glasses instead of having to turn it on using the phone. I do use this everyday. I even had the lenses changed to photo chromatic ones (cheaper in stores). I find myself using this way more than having an earbud. Looks way less conspicuous. And yea dont worry about the subscription. You dont need it.

I was just looking into these the other day, part of the reason i wanted the rayneo X2 is the translations, so having that ability on a normal looking pair of glasses would be awesome
That was my original reason for wanting to check them out. The subscription is the only thing to keep in mind.
Is this able to listen from 🎧 and translate?
Nice ones, I like that we can choose the frame and even have different frames, the subscription part is always something to really consider but as you mentioned, if we need to travel we can have it and if we need just Bluetooth glasses we can suspend the subscription while it's not needed
WE need glasses like this where the translation is a subtitle, not audible playback.
That would be the perfect combo. Visual information in front of us would be the next step

If the translation worked where I could hit a button and it could follow along with my Spanish speaking co workers I’d put down my ray ban metas and switch to these, but it doesn’t appear these work that way.

Can you use these just for bluetooth audio with any device? Can I just pair via bluetooth without installing the app?
Jeah this should work. You can even connect two different devices at the same time. But the sound is not great and can not be compared with even the raybans. You should not consider using it as replacements for your headphone. There are good if you forget your headphones or if would play Musik or Videos with your smartphone speaker anyways.
@@bockt Thank you for the honest reply! I ended up getting the Meta Raybans. I have GPT-4 intercepting all my "Hey Google" queries on my phone and using an API key, so I'll be able to use Meta's Llama, as well as my own custom GPT4 solution with voice and audio.
For me chatGPT is so poorly integrated. When it is turned on you are not able to do anything else with the glasses. Furthermore there is the hole time grain when ChatGPT is activated. You will not use ChatGPT. But you can use google and Siri with no problem. In everyday use after three months this is way more interesting.
The whispering mode do not work for me and my iPhone and it will not work in german or other languages.
The sound itself is absolutely bad (no chance fixing it with an equalizer. The Mids are way to loud and bad). It is not great for hearing the hole day music with it. But it is great as a speaker replacement for your phone. In these moments where audio quality is not as important it is loud, near to your ear and separated. While shopping or cooking I use them all the time.
Aaaand the subscription is not needed in the most features. Only if you want the better Voice. Wich I never hear either, because I use Siri all the time with the Siri voice.
So don’t get me wrong. I love these glasses and I use them everyday. But non of the reals pros get mentioned here. Furthermore you will get mislead for what they can really do.
Sounds gimmicky…. Obviously you still have to open apps you want to use on your phone… might as well just use your phone. Are you able to open an app with your voice? Like “open Spotify and okay this music….”? If not it’s worth nothing.
