    I really enjoyed hearing you talk about how you focus on capturing the feeling. It can be so stressful to go to a touristy place and think that you have to take catalog-worthy photos of attractions or skylines. It's often the smaller, more personal images that really capture what the day was about and how it felt. I like how you include your hands and feet in the photos.

    tysm for the aquarium footage I find aquariums so peaceful and I'm fascinated by the ocean and aquatics generally. i actually fell asleep shortly after that part, they r just so relaxing so appreciate u for adding so many clips of the fishies and jellies and even just the kelp waving in the current

    Ohhhh, capacitors on boots- you can recharge while you're walking ;) Love how that artist used capacitors & LEDs as beads. I love Canada from coast to coast, it's beautiful with lovely people. We, USA'ers, couldn't ask for better neighbors. ❤ Thanks for sharing Megan. Looks like you had fun-- I mean FRANKY!!!!!

    I really needed to hear “Good enough is good enough.” I’m in my last two weeks with school, preparing for finals and I’ve been so stressed. But after hearing that, it’s my new motto for the next two weeks. 💜 lovely video as always.

    Love the ephemera and so glad you had a good time in Toronto!! I feel your frustration at places taking the tactility out of things. I've been thinking about it in the context of public transit cards being offered on phones -- I hope they never phase out physical cards because I love them so much lol.

    At first I thought, "Gosh, that's a long way to go for such a short trip" but I'm in western Canada so it's a 10-hour flight from my city to London. Not quite as bad only going to Toronto. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

    about the post cards-
    in the US the paper sizes aren’t standardized in the same way as in the UK or Europe. there isn’t such thing as A6, A5, etc paper there. really sucks! was doing schoolwork there and none of the papers fit into my UK filing systems.
    i agree about the standardized paper stuff! just that the US works on a different system. they do *have* a system… just not the same one 😭

    • @Elizkleincaz
      @Elizkleincaz Před 2 měsíci +1

      This is accurate! We do have a standard "postcard" size here, it's just not A6 sized. As an American, even I feel like they're big. There is more room to write, though, which is nice

    the reason why it looked autumny is bc when the snow melts, everything is still dead and looks like how it was before it snowed and it only gets greener after (idk if it makes sense)

    so wild that you came to my country and were having a good time in BARRIE of all places. that sounds snide but i promise i just mean i've lived in toronto (& therefore canada) my whole life and barrie is just like. a generic kinda boring place to me. (no offence to people who live in barrie lol). but im really happy you had a good time and hope you feel better soon! seeing all your ephemera was so fun, i love collecting stuff. and the way you laid it out was really fun to see too!

    I'm sure this will make it worse, but I'm from the US (far north tho so very close to Canada) and I truly didn't know postcards were a different size in other parts of the world. Americentric oopsie. We don't even have "A6" in the US so postcards are 4x6 INCHES :|
    Anyway, honestly love this video and seeing how you collect travel ephemera. I do the same type of collaging (stemming from a similar-but-different ADHD-fueled fear of forgetfulness) but struggle to get usefully-colored things for collaging. Thanks for sharing this trip with us!!
