I always look forward to the talking segment, no matter how long. And for some reason, the more quiet “boring” episodes tend to be my favorite. I like slowing down with my cup of coffee and relaxing with a quiet installment of the attic archives. I think it makes me feel more intentional about how I spend my own days. All your videos are great, though. They always inspire me to enjoy my notebooks and the other mundane moments in life. Congrats on 50 episodes! Thanks for taking the time to share your days with us!

I love the talking segments and the writing in your books segments. I also really love that your videos are full of small moments and slowing down for winter sounds perfect. Absolutely love the talking bits. Prefer them actually, but I do like that it's not 100% talking, but the more talking the easier it is for me to look at my craft and follow along while watching^^

I also just watched the Luna Park documentary! So interesting to hear a non-Australian's reaction to it. It was definitely unsurprising in a very sad way, the conclusion was what people had suspected for years but never had proof of.

I love the chatty videos as i use your videos for coworking. Also your insight on how you accommodate your autism is sometimes helpful in helping figure out how to accommodate my own. I also appreciate longer journal videos where they don't necessarily need to be chatty(I dont mind if they are tho), but I feel like part of the coziness of attic archives is the chattiness, if that makes sense?
But honestly, up to you how you wanna make them, i just am tryna say I dont mind longer format or chatty videos

love the talking bits - i put videos on in the background and listen while doing other stuff, and glance up occasionally or when it sounds like you're showing something interesting. so i usually miss most of the text on the screen in the silent parts anyway

Oh nice mittens. I am plagued by cold hands too, I figured out that with those ones, I can wear silk or wool under-gloves under them when it’s really cold. I think places like Decathlon do them, or if you look up gloves for Reynards

cold hands and dog hair!! ❤️🩹👁️❤️🩹 maybe i'm gonna cut some thumb holes in longsleeves, like to onion up my clothes, your visuals come really close here like an unfolding tarot reading almost 🫀🪽there's this thing in one of the seasons of house MD (sherlock or authorial input adaption if you blink and care hard enough also the sherlock BBC team has seen the show change my mind it's in the acting and some of the shots, it's felt, plus some of the writers went on to elementary) where when he gets depressed there's a reduction of music, they often have an end of the episode sort of playlist going but when he's down bad there's this absence of music "in the house". blabbering on but have you seen houdini&doyle? do recommend! one season one off cancelation (house MD showrunner somehow involved, i'm deep in the weeds with where the interest took me) but warms my sherlockian heart. there's that obsessive quality of needing to know more about the people who made the story what it was and is. yet as always, fictionalized.
personally i prefer longer talking segments
i find that having an extra voice around helps me stay grounded and keep on track with what im doing which is why i love podcasts lol
