Loved the synchro shooting at the start to the music! Class! That looks like one very cool piece of kit and appreciate your review and time spent. Just looks perfect for DMR and given the right lot...PRS even! Looking forward to the part 2 vid.
I tend to agree with your assessment in general. I have heard statements that the highest end semiautomatics are as or more accurate than most bolt guns. I don’t have the experience or data to say more. I am curious how the highest end bolts and semi guns would compare.
Tactical Operations guarantees (guaranteed? Don’t know if they are still in business) their bolt actions for .25 MOA. Don’t know of any company offering better than sub MOA on their gas guns.
I use the Eley Benchrest Precisionin my Savage A22 with pretty much the same results as you got. I shoot .5 at 50 and 1.75” at 150 yards. Thanks Josh for another great video.
Welcome to the AR 22 world... I picked up a Rock River Arms CMP Trainer, and have been impressed so far. I believe it uses the same barrel and bolt setup as the JP. Looking forward to round 2..👍
I’ve been able to get hands on with the Tippman arms 22 and I’m impressed. PSA has it for $600 (I think) in a race gun version. I think I’m going to grapple with it as a trainer.
Nice set-up👍👍 That things a hammer... I gave myself a little nod of approval, as I have been running a much less expensive set-up for just about 2 years now where I have a dedicated lower and two different uppers: One is for PRS and Centerfire competition, and the other I use for NRL22. I have had good luck with SK Semi-Auto Match and also CCI Standard. If I do my part, I can I can get comparable groups. I run Black Dog Mags. Would love to learn more about the Rimfire DMR series.
I picked up a bca .22lr upper last year, it will shoot around 1 inch groups with trash ammo at 50 yards have about 1000 rounds on it, and it had a couple of failures to eject (i hadn't cleaned the barrel up to that point). It hasn't had any issues since i cleaned it. May have to try some better ammo to see what it can actually do, or maybe ill invest in a new toy!
Can you do a teardown on the thing? Curious about bolt/barrel interface, bolt weight, chamber compared to a Bentz, barrel twist, and whatever else. For 3.5K I'd want to know what I'm buying
@@PursuitofAccuracy My Tippmann shoots pretty similarly to your JP(when I do my part and when I'm not tinkering with it). I'm sure if you sat down and did real rigorous testing the JP would come out on top, but for the price I think the Tippmann blows it's competition out of the water, especially since it can take standard AR accessories, unlike the M&P. The magazines are way better than the typical AR-22 magazines, in my opinion. I've managed to pull out an NRL22 win with mine(got a bit lucky but I'll take what I can get), though I think I've developed a good carbon ring in my chamber and need to do some deep cleaning, so my performance this season has been less than stellar.
Not surprised as JP has always made really quality equipment! Having a world class trigger man doesn't hurt either!
1 MOA is only "meh" with premium match ammo. It would help if he'd use a proper benchrest instead of a bipod, but there's no way to know for sure.
That thing is pretty impressive, looking forward to the next! Good luck with it Josh!

Bolt actions are inherently known to be more accurate but a semi auto “engine” that is tuned is so much more interesting imho

Great video, it would be helpful if you would add the distance on the screen (upper right or left) when you are shooting. 50yds...100yds....etc
JP stuff has always been good. It's hard for me to put down my Kidd 10/22. Looking forward to part 2 on this. Thank you!

09:24 I really enjoy the water feature you have added to the KYL
Yeah i really worked hard on that 🤣
Great video!!
That nexus is a damn good deal right now and it was elements flagship for quite some time got me one
Idk why but I’m always offended when you drop an air gun video lol I’m fiending for 22 content I just got a CZ MTR and I’m obsessed.
Lmao

Think you found the perfect NRL/PRS rig !!
This video is killing me! I have one on order.
Anschutz once made a lightweight semi auto sporter and it was a hammer. You should try finding one of those Josh.
I guess I have to wait for part 2 where you compare SD and ES for the same lot between the gas gun and a bolt gun
Will do that for sure in part 2
Happy they finally got this to you. Reliability seems awesome but accuracy doesn't seem to compare to a Kidd super grade.
Nice set-up👍👍 That things a hammer...

I just bought black dog 15 rounders

Can't wait to see some 100 yard groups
Sweet!! Curious if you run a heavier trigger pull weight than the bolts for that format?
That is a serious machine and I am looking forward to seeing more of it. My checkbook is hiding under the bed.
Haha, as it should
That is super cool! I blow through ammo fast enough with a bolt gun
Truth!
Just picked up an SR-22 rifle yesterday. What to mod?? Binary fun but not all the time.
Great review as usual 😃
next video could you weigh the bolt ? weight of ar22 bolts is a very important variable
Ive wanted a jp enterprise rifle for a long time and then got into custom bolt action rifles and now i wouldnt mind a jp 22lr ar. 😂

Great video as always. Which trigger and grip did you swap in?
Ergo vertical grip and timney calvin elite
that is a sexy gun
Very nice! Doesn't swapping the lower kinda negate the fact that it's a JPR?🤔
no they'll sell you an upper too, not sure if this exact one but they do even sell just a bolt and barrel
The JPRFX setup is only available as a complete rifle.
You still gotta give the Tippmanns a try
I do

Great video but you didn't mention the price for it, being a JP rifle I'm going to guess $3000
Yeah full rifle is around 3k
Could I possibly be the only person curious about the price tag?
For the complete rifle its about 3k
JP stuff is super nice, but you pay for it
If they start selling just the upper, they might have another customer here.
I think they will eventually
Everyone shoots 20 dollar ammo, Where is the CCI SV?
cci sv is my match ammo lol
In my gun room lol
