Well things happen and only thing I can do is build it bigger and better. What should I add to the new studio rebuild or create for the mobile cart studio in the meantime?!
Make second version of the power station holder for the mobile one
Hmm (if i remember to edit my comment i can try thinking of smth you could do
For the mobile cart you should add some to hang off the side for like coffee
You should add a cupholder area for on the go with the mobile studio
So sorry this happened to you
Ugh, I'm so sorry Matt -- can't imagine having my studio flooded... đą
yeah I feel bad for Matt, I hope unnecessary studio can recover
Hi
Hope recovery is fast
If hacksmith got flooded the lightsabero
I mean shout out to that fire department for putting their best effort in to protecting your property
Yup
Worth the taxes right there
@@osculant they always are
yes
Oooh a shoutout. Lucky for them.
Honestly shoutout to the Fire department for trying to reduce damages as much as they could, amazing people.
They probably walked in there and said âWoah, this is awesome. Quick, letâs protect what we can.â
there's a reason no one has made a song called fuck the fire department
Insurance Adjuster: "You filed a claim yet you say all of the things were 'unnecessary inventions'. Is that correct?"
đđđ
Its an Albany Expression
They arenât unnecessary inventions, theyâre Unnecessary Inventionsâą
I am deeply sorry that you are having to deal with such a distressing situation. I am truly shocked and saddened by this news. Please take all the time you need to heal and recover. â€
Get this man pinned
Not once in my life have I seen somebody super chat. Please pin this person.
how is this not pinned or even more popular
Pin this guy
@@DailyR4nd0mF4cts It's pretty common lmao
"Why are new videos being uploaded less frequently than usual?"
This is the answer. Hope everything gets better for you :)
That's absolutely no valid reason. He could have worked from anywhere! UNFOLLOW!!!!!1
@@arbitrary_username The sad part is some people are actually like this
R.I.P Wall of narcissism. You will be missed
Until it goes back up better then before
Thank you fire department for saving as much as you could
The fire department really did a great job reducing the damage. All things considered it could have been so much worse.
For the mobile cart, I'd widen the base a bit so there's no danger of it tipping over, even just the two wheels at the rear. I like the rod idea for the filament, you could even keep the active roll on it and feed it from there to the printer. Maybe an acrylic enclosure for the printer? Then some attachments that clip onto the sides, for holding your beverages, umbrellas, etc. Could you also add a motor assembly to the underside, motorize the wheels, and pilot it remotely with an RC controller? That seems like it would be an Unnecessary Invention.
definitely make the cart base wider
Yes it needs to be wider for stability!
My basement flooded last week. Sigh. Really great thing to happen when I'm already 8 contractual videos behind. Just coughed up $399 today to a dump truck to haul stuff away, a lot of my wife memories, most of our Halloween and Christmas decorations, some tech, etc. We've been washing and drying thousands of dollars of yarn since Thursday.
Sad đąđąđąđą
So sad. I love it when I say or post something sad and difficult in my life and someone needs to comment with their own problem.
Yarn lol sorry lol that sounds crap lol
@@upshiftgo my wife takes her yarn extremely seriously, we've probably done 20 loads in the wash washing out yarn so far
Sorry about that
So sorry dude. Did the Crocs cease and desist survive??
This is so crappy! I feel for you! I sure hope insurance covers all the damages and doesn't try to screw you over. But on the plus side you are okay and still smiling. And I look forward to the studio rebuild videos! All the best!
Damn, I'm sorry. I hope this hasn't been too much of a financial hit.
Iâd imagine he has some good insurance on the place and his things.
Im so sorry matty đą youâre the reason I got into inventing things even if they have no purpose.
It would be cool to get an interview from the fire fighters about what they thought of the studio. I know their first impressions of the studio could be entertaining.
I work in restoration and fire disaster, it was always hard seeing the customer upset and stressed out... But we always made sure to help them out how ever we can, things will get better!
Sorry this happened to you, as a fire engineer myself this is one thing I donât really think of is the impact of an activation, after all we design and install them but with the intention they will never actually be required - but luckily it did the job it was designed to do, glad to see youâre able to keep your head up and look ahead at how to improve the next revision of the studio!
I mean respect to the fire department, not only for saving the studio, but also at least doing their best to cover all the things they could to minimise damages if possible
This is horrible. I hope everything works out okay đ©
Thanks for the update. Glad to see you're already back to creating.
Your mobile studio needs a comfortable standing-height laptop holder of some kind so you can do some light work/modeling/slicing etc. on the go!
Your optimism in the face of adversity is quite admirable.
Iâm so sorry bro, Itâs too bad đą
The title should have been "my studio was flooded and unnecessarily destroyed"
I've been looking for this comment!!
I love your energy and enthusiasm through all of this. I can only imagine the stress and sheer chaos going on to get back up and running. Your videos are all pretty amazing, the inventions are great, but your personality and positivity are what really make everything. One of these days I'll make it back up there to visit, and you can bet I'll be looking for that neon glowing sign in the window! One positive thing is that the rebuild will make great content, lol. :D
You are awesome for powering though this tough time. I'm excited to see the amazing things you do in the future. Keep thinking positive
That is such a heartbreaking situation. Thank God no one was hurt, and thank you FD for attempting to save/protect your equipment.
glad you're safe, and most of your livelihood is too. looking forward to your plans for the cart & studio. godspeed, strength to you!
I am so so sorry you are going through this and would love to help however I can. Huge hugs to you
I love the attitude you have towards the crazy event. Keep it strong!!!
Bro that is tragic. Im so sorry. Iconic bounce back though. Excited to follow you through this process.
Major credit to the FD, they could have easily let your stuff get soaked more.. But they went out of their way to do what they could. You guys got a solid FD there. best of luck on the new studio construction! You will do an amazing job Im sure.
As a previous fire sprinkler/fire alarm inspector i would love to hear more details about the fire because if it was a small fire (suppressed quickly) on the floor above or intenional damage to a singular fire sprinkler head. Each floor has what's called an "isolation valve", these valves shut off the water supply to the fire sprinkler system on each floor and can be accessed through a panel on each floor, also it should not be locked, however if building maintenance/staff were trained properly on these types of fires that valve could have been shut off and mitigated water damage. But thankfully the system did its job in the end, a wet building is better than a charcoal one..
I hope things get better for you đđ».
I am so sorry for you! Good luck on fixing up your studio, it's not fun that that happened to you and I'm really sorry. đ
I happen to be a speaker about maker scenario and education STEAM, and I am using a big backpack with: small and cheap leaser engreaver, 1 CR100 Crealty as a 3DPrinter, a plug adapter, a 3D Pen, a windows tablet, a small wacon tablet for drawing, a box with cables and arduino, protoboard and few actuators and sensor, a bag with filament samples of PLA, for colors options. It is heavy, but help me to have a really small and complet lab wherever I go.
Do you mean you put a whole 3D printer in your bag?
So sorry for your loss and emotional stress/trauma! It's hard to watch everything you loved and worked hard to make or take care of being destroyed or damaged so suddenly. People have no respect for others. As someone who recently went through a flood, I hope you get all you can financially from the insurance company to take care of the damage. Honestly, hope you recover, man.
Oh man, sorry you're going through this. Hope you'll have your studio fully functional soon.
Man, that sucks. Good luck building back even better!
hope your back up and running soon, I saw the title and I live near by so I was so confused but regardless gl.
Man i can just imagine the firefighters face when they saw a fully teched out studio with water everywhere
Mad respect for protecting as much as they could, even if they put everything away all weird
wow dude, this is really sad!! I wish you all the strength in the world to go through this very ruff situation!!
Im so sorry this happened to you and specially knowing the reason. I know itâs easier said than done, and that many people are saying the same thing but Iâm sure something good is going to come out from all of this. You have a great mind and I have no doubt great inventions will come from this. Wishing you the best!đđŒ
Sorry to hear what happened but stay positive! and you can get through this m8
Get well soon Studio
you are such an inspiration for my work, so i'm with you with that!!! be strong and stronger!
Man, that's brutal. Best of luck getting it all sorted out, my guy.
You spent so much time on it! Sorry to see it flooded. You will rebuild it, bigger and better!
Ah sorry to hear this, glad to hear that it sounds like you're trying to look on the bright side of things. Hopefully not too much of your equipment is damaged, and I'm looking forward to seeing your new printing cart! Will you do a video log of putting the new studio together?
Iâm honestly so impressed the fire department took the time and effort to cover as much stuff as possible, in a stressful situation itâs actions like that that really mean a lot. I hope things go as smoothly as possible with all this and that youâre able to come back with an even cooler unesecasrt spaceđ
im glad they realized it was a studio space and tried to mitigate as much of the damage as possible esp since itâs your means of living. i hope the rest of the damage on the building wasnât too bad either
I am so sorry my friend. đą You dont deserve this.
My family's small businesses suffered something similar. We have a food equipment warehouse and next door's warehouse had an arson attack on them. The heat melted some pipes that ran the length of all the warehouses and melted through along them. So our warehouse was filled with toxic smoke. It ruined almost all of our stock. We can't sell food grade equipment even if we wash it really well, most of it was food grade. The insurance covered a lot but not all and it made that year unprofitable as we had to pay for a lot to be replaced out of our company's savings.
People think they're just harming their target, but they destroyed our lives for a few months and made it so that our team went from definitely getting a bonus and raises to not being able to be given that.
And before I get anger from people thinking our family earned a lot, we took no pay that year and worked in other jobs in other small businesses to make our money. We also worked at weekends to get the warehouse back up and running. We ALWAYS look after our team, I'm not going to say "we're like family" but we care about them personally and professionally. We make sure our colleagues have a nice life. The business is there to support us all and our families. The business came from my grandad wanting to support everyone because he saw what his own dad had to go through just surviving in the coal mines. So we always believe in helping everyone grow and have a better life.
The repair from the fire wasn't easy, but we did it and we are back and doing well and able to look after our team :)
The fire dept would be so shocked and in aww to see the unbelievable crazy unnecessary inventions!
đ«Ąits ok brotha thses thing happen we will always remeber this studio filled with memories in heart
R.I.P studio
I hope the police arrest that jerk
Hey, Iâm not the jerk âïžâïžâïž
The person was arrested. He shares a building with one of Bernie Sandersâs offices and thatâs what the target was. Police got the guy within a day or two.
That's sucks. I sorry that happened to you. That studio is awesome. And will be again even more unnecessary đ. Much love †can't wait to see what you make next but I'm patient. Our upstairs neighbor had a pipe burst or something.. it was a mess. My friends placed flooded and it took like a year to get it fixed ( bad management but it's fixed now.. mostly .) I hope you are well
Atleast he did not set your studio on fire, i hope your place gets revived, and back on track. God bless you.
Use this situation to come up with a positive unnecessary investigation. You got this. Love your channel and content.
Hey you're the goat man. Don't worry, whatever way you go will be better than before.
The studio tour I never wanted....
Such a bummer. Keep your hopes high.
Wow, this is heartbreaking. Iâm so sorry for all your losses of various creations
The chair with the hanging things can be a STRONG inspiration for the mobile studio
I know the feeling, this happened to our basement 2 months ago, it's sitll under construction. we lost so much
I commend your resilience and attitude about the situation.
You are always so positive and able to make lemonade out of lemons! So sad to see this happened to you and your studio. But ready to see how it becomes even better!
Oh no Matty! Iâm so sorry that happened to you! I love the idea of the studio on wheels so that you can always invent on the go. Iâm glad to see you are thinking positive thoughts about are never going to give up!
OMG, that is terrible what happened, but I love how you manage it dude! Hope that it's being restored very quickly
Matty Iâm so sorry about your studio..! But hereâs to getting it up and running again in no time - the world needs your inventions!!
That's heartbreaking! You put so much work into that place. Sorry man. Can't wait to see what it becomes again.
Rip studio
So sorry this happened. Love your attitude. It's inspiring.
Heelo
That really sucks. As someone who set up a movie room in their basement to find out it floods, I understand how frustrating that is. Iâm glad to see a lot of stuff looks ok so I hope the damage it done and things look up from here
5 stars for Burlington FD for handling this so well, normally property damage is a bit of an afterthought (understandably) also caster wheels with tread kill me đ oh well guess they made it with what they had at the factory.
I am *so* sad this happened to you! Literally couldnât have happened to a nicer guy. And I donât know about others, but if I could I would be there helping you with the clean up. Thereâs a fair chance police will catch the person who did this UNNECESSARY act of arson and put him (or her) away soon! Iâm happy it didnât burn down because your space there is beautiful. I can only recommend security cameras at all entries and windows. This is just saddening, Matt. Youâll bounce back stronger than before, friend. †Maybe order pizzas for the fire department for saving what they did. Who knows, maybe youâll meet a nice fireman! Maybe thatâs what this will bring! Unless you already have a significant other. This just hurts the heart.
the guy who did it was already arrested on april 7th! i assume matty had a good reason for not mentioning it in the video, but the arson attack was specifically targeting bernie sandersâs office in burlington, vt and the unnecessary studio is in the same building
Sad that this needs to happen but hope everything works out for you! I admire you more for still being innovative even after what happened. Come back stronger! đȘđ„
My retail store flooded last year and it was heartbreaking. They gave me one day to get everything out. I feel your pain, Matty!
well, a camera mount, to get the cart function as a tripod, maybe a few brackets, to have things at hand in the "legs" kinda, also having a better weight distribution, i would put the filament in the bottom, maybe include 1 in use and 1 just in case the first one is consumed.
Oh, also a few brakes/brackets, to have the cart firmly in place, just in case you really need the extra stability and avoid the cart just roll away..
Starting that fire was totally unnecessary. Good luck with the rebuild Matty!
holy cow that sucks :c what a needless destruction
I love how when something like this happens Matty always makes an Unnecessary Invention. He always make them so funny but sometimes useful i hope you get it fixed and i am so very sorry for your studio i hope that it gets fixed soon. That just gives you a reason to make it look different.
I feel so bad. all this hard work and this nice room/area got ruined. At least you have enough money to replace and rebuild everything. But this sucks man! Good luck with everything :)
Omg .... what a mesh .... big hug dude . And the best wishes there.. keep the actitudes.
What a nightmare. When you said mobile studio I instantly thought camper van but with 3d printers soldering iron etc. Then you can just drive around for awhile making inventions while your studio is fixed.
Build a little shelf mounted on the underside of the upper shelf for the battery. It'll give extra space on the bottom for more stuff. Also mount a dowel down there to hold your favorite filiment so it doesnt take up shelf space.
Edit: now i feel dumb b/c like 30s after i posted this is when i saw your filament suggestion. I still think the battery undermount would be better.
"Suspect Arrested in Arson at Burlington Office of Senator Sanders " - Hot damn, was this the one?
Looks like it. I walked past the building multiple times when I was in Burlington for the eclipse, just 3 days after the incident, and I didn't notice anything wrong with the building. Glad the damage was relatively minor compared to what could have happened.
Man those kind of things happening really make it feel you cant avoid politics regardless what you do.
iâm sorry to hear about the building. I feel bad for you and the owner and the other residence.
hope everything goes well.
For the mobile studio:
- Mini Photo booth
- Laptop stand (and monitor?)
-2D printer
- Umbrella over it just in case it rains indoors!
-Lighting!
Cup holder. A âPrinting in Progressâ. Timelapse camera holder. Fold out table. Party lights.
Hey buddy sorry about what happened. Good thing the all your stuff was not lost. Your a good guy keep your head up bother.
I don't think I ever realized how massive this studio is. I can't imagine the cost.
I love your Video so much and i Know al of your Inventions, im so sorry of your Studio đą
I watched this in a car and when you told us what happened, i audibly raged trying to comprehend why this demon had to burn down your studio. I hope he gets caught. Keep on making unnecessary inventions. Hope your studio gets fixed soon.
I was thinking what kinda insane flood that'd flooded 2nd floor, lol flood from the aboveđ
I always thought sprinkler systems were kind of stupid because of things like this. I mean if they could just individually go off you wouldn't have to worry about everything getting ruined! One little censor is tripped and the whole place place is flooded.
But at least everything didn't catch on fire!!! đ
So sorry this happened to you. I wish you the best.
That is so awful! I am so sorry to hear that! I hope all is well for you. Love the inventions! â€
đąđąđąđą won won won woooooon
When you said âMini Studio on Wheelsâ my mind jumped to RV.
Kinda crazy that the flooding of Unnecessary studio inspired his first necessary invention. Glad everyone is okay.
