    I saw your shop and work on the BAFTA award winning documentary The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off. I am amazed at the beautiful work you do in wood coffins, esp when the craft is getting few and farther btwn (im in the states). Your work puts other wood coffins ive seen to shame- you are that good! Really wish shipping to here was affordable. Companies here need to take a look at these awesome pieces for what excellence is

    I'm assuming the one's made out of particleboard are for cremation? The wicker basket types are they for burial or cremation?

    I’ve looked everywhere for information on the making and functionality of lead lined coffins. How are they sealed etc.

    Does anyone know for sure if people are cremated in the coffin or if they remove the body and resell the coffin.

      I have worked at a crematorium in Australia you are cremated
      In a coffin. It's law here & UK the USA. As you my no India & some Asian countries not. In the Philippines you hire a coffin for the funeral then your removed & cremated. Which I think is a better idea & should implemented in all countries. PS . There is cardboard coffins Available much cheaper option.

    As a retired funeral director one thing I hated was the cardboard box which came with such coffins. I would never allow a deceased persons head to be laid on one. Disgusting addition there

    I would loose it, if I found out the coffin we purchased is chipboard.

    • @chevy790
      @chevy790 Před 3 lety

      cheaper ones are made of chipboard-normally for cremation-im retired now but constructed ones from all types of wood--i was shocked at times when i was told how much the funeral director had charged for the particular coffin of people i knew-yes i would have had an idea of the wholesale price but couldnt tell them that- i would advise anyone to go for a prepaid funeral

    I'm planning to build my own coffin. Could anyone inform me of the corner angles required?

    • @scrapcash2421
      @scrapcash2421 Před 2 lety

      Coffin angles vary by width at the shoulder compared to height. You can google the standard angles, but custom ones are built to fit. It's also easy to lay it out on a piece of plywood, then you can just measure your angles.

    • @walkernick86
      @walkernick86 Před 4 lety +2

      Robin Hinson what
      the hell are you talking about!? The coffin wasn’t finished. The ‘cardboard box’ as you put it is quite obviously there to raise the level of the surface. Fabric and cushions will be placed on top of that! Go back to bed! 🤦‍♂️
