Satan I live in Egypt and I lived my entire childhood in a back alley type place i don’t know what it’s called in English but iam 32 now and i own multiple cars including a Mercedes E200 AMG GT and a BMW X5 M sport you think I inherited the money to get these cars that cost millions here to buy? No I went out there worked my ass off did all I could to live my dream and here iam I own 6 different factories and i can easily buy many of the cars featured here even if they’re not available in Egypt so having it bad isn’t enough of an excuse to change your situation I just hope if anything I inspired you just enough to at least try.

My dad used to have an ML350 and that first aid kit came in handy. My mom fell and split her eyebrow and I crashed my bike and both times the kit had enough stuff in it for my dad to legitimately help (he's a doctor so that's definitely a factor but he didn't feel like it was missing anything).
In other cars the first aid kit is in the glove box
My dad’s ML350 has its first aid kit and it’s never been used. I’ve opened it to look through it but it’s otherwise perfect. Hopefully we don’t need it.

The 350 may look weak on paper, but after a test drive I’m sure most people will find it more than sufficient. I’m also surprised that the 48V system and EQ Boost in the 450 wasn’t mentioned.
Just drove 2021 350, plenty of power and acceleration. Massive torque is the key.

I have no experience from either of them but the Mercedes engine is s brand new design and I would expect it to be at least on par with the competition.

@Ib7 h that's bullshit sir. The reason why tests show the Q7 have less driving pleasure is because they have not the right options. Go to drive an SQ7 with ceramic brakes, active anti roll bars, rear sport differentials, 22' wheels, sport air suspensions or even a basic Q7 3.0 TFSI 333hp (that can be equipped with the same optionals). It's as sporty as a base cayenne 340 hp, that, btw, is 30 kg heavier than the 5 seats audi Q7 3.0 TFSI 333hp.
Those grab handles will definitely come in handy for... "off roading"

Great video, good job. I notice that in most car review videos no one ever mentions the sound system. To me, and I'll guess a lot more people, it's quite important with decent sound in the car.
The headlights do the dance to configurate and level out. When you open the hood, they go into the service position, where you (idealy your mechanic with proper equipment) can adjust the angle of the beam.

My grandfather has a weird obsession with the Mercedes M-Class/GLE. He bought one every 2 years since 2008 and never bought any other vehicle, although he's been a Mercedes only owner since the 90s. I believe he currently has this model in black. He's 92 now and a retired engineer, he said its the only way to enjoy his savings by having a new vehicle all the time.

Hey you forgot to mention with the optional air suspension this is the first car in the world that can literally jump like Hydraulics to get you unstuck out of snow or soft sand situations people should CZcams It's amazing!
I remember the prototype Lexus with the Bose suspension could jump over large approaching bumps. But it never went into production.
Sean O'Neill it was not a prototype Lexus. It was just Bose suspension and they used a car that was the original benchmark of ride quality for that era of luxury cars. From my understanding, Lexus was in no way involved in development or testing of that suspension.

I got to participate in a Mercedes Benz invitational in Victoria Canada that they put on to show the abilities of the all new ML class back in 2000 or 1999. I can't remember the exact year. It was so fun getting to ride passenger as the Mercedes drivers thrashed on the new SUV. They also had all the competitors and we got to ride in them in a off-road course to prove how much better the ML was and it was way better. The thing that stuck out the most is when they perched all the different SUVs on a dirt mound that made it flex the body to the max where one wheel isn't even on the ground. They would proceed to open the rear hatches with the body flexed and the ML was the only SUV able to close it's hatch with the body flexed! When they tried it on the Range rover the hatch wouldn't even open 😃

Andrice Parker I think if he had the car set at 60 (which is its lowest setting) then the car would only increase it ever so slightly. I’m guessing if he said that and it was 70 degrees, it would probably go to 75 degrees.

I have had the chance to drive various Mercedes Benz SUV models. They never excel at any one thing but seem to be slightly above average at everything. As you get to know these vehicles they grow on you. Doug's review seems to confirm that yet again.

Maybe the car he reviewed wasn't specced accordingly. Here in Germany we're far behind on the priority list for these cars and so far the first few which arrived from the US only had the standard Airmatic option instead of the eActive Body Control.

Doug, I was expecting you to review the 'pothole eliminator', which, available in the 450, picks up the wheels when encountering a pothole. Also, the 450 can 'buck' itself to get unstuck in snow.
I love how BMW use to put the back up camera under the logo, so every time you would back up it would look so cool

He had the temperature at 60. MBUX raises the temperature 5 degrees when you say you are cold. So if the temperature was 65, it would reset it to 70, and so on. I know this type of technology is a lot for the commentators still trying to upgrade from their 1998 Honda Civics, so I hope this helps!!

ig: itschrisschwarz, didn't knew Mercedes installed the weaker 208hp T-2.0L (in US-spec the base engine for the GLE is the 300 level or ~255hp of that same sized engine) for at the Alabama factory for German compsumption (yes, ALL GLE's are made in USA, even those in EU-spec).
syxepop yes, they do .. last week I was at Mercedes and looked at the old GLE, looked nice because it had AMG trim and was well equipped but it had a 250 motor, but they are really rare here in Germany, so I was quite surprised! I always thought it started at 300 or 350. We also have the C Class as 160 and 180 model 😴
This car has sooo many more features, it can dance (the air suspension), the augmented reality, autonomous driving, the 6K sound upgrade ... I wish you had a fully loaded version. The app and the remote start and over the air upgrades are also interesting quirks.
You are so right about its not a look we fall in love with but the inside is really cool. I wish I liked the way it looked though. They need to make the lights and rear more like the coupe style.
