  • Why should Christians support Israel? How should followers of Jesus process this war in the Middle East? Who can we believe? What should Christians do? These are questions I’ve been getting since the war started in Israel, so I wanted to take a few minutes and hopefully shed a little light on the things that you’re hearing and reading about.

God does not call us to bless and support ppl who actively deny and reject Christ as king. Love thy neighbor does not mean bless thy enemy. the ratio for every man walking the earth today is less than 1/30 ppl being direct Jewish descendants from the original 3. It is a manufactured misrepresentation of the word to say God defends Israel and the Jews when the majority do not believe in the Bible in general. Babylonian Talmud practice which disregards most of the Torah and old testament teachings...these are Jews who are not but say they are. We as Christ believers thru faith are the real "Jews" and Israelites as stated across the Bible old testament to the New. Galatians 3:29 Godbless. Jesus Christ be praised.

@@user-sk7zc1fc5u this is because, generally, most ppl who call themselves Christians have manufactured their own (but counterfeit) 'Jesus' that fits their world view based on how misrepresented biblical analogy has been portrayed to them. Most don't spend the hours and hours required to simply grasp the full nature of every verse in the Bible. The mistake is taking every word as literal as possible which is what is taught generically but not correct. the bible is allegorical by design. Thank you for sharing this. My concern is using the Bible to justify a Jewish state, which in turn may obligate Christians in separating Jews and Christians. Should we recognize that all nations are to be discipled in Christ no matter the lineage or ethnic background? I'm asking this difficult question as I come from a R C Sproul postmillenial eschatology that recognizes the significance of 70AD as prophecy fulfilled, when Christians were told to flee to the mountains when Jerusalem was to be surrounded. I fear your statement, referring to Christ's return to a specific location is being used to over shadow the promise of salvation through Christ as also a promise to the promised land had already been fulfilled and now we embrace the promise revealed though Christ death for our salvation. Has not the promised land already been fulfilled to Israel in the Bible and now we are to conquer the nations with Christ and the promise is Christ for all peoples who come to him. I ask this in full sincerity and concern as I see Christians and Jews treat this conflict as end times prophecy which may lead to unknown wars all in the name of the Bible prophecy. I appreciate your work and please guide me as I grow in my faith. God Bless you and may Israel defend herself from the terrorists and enemies.

God did bless the nations through the Seed of Abraham. That Seed is Christ Jesus. I don't ascribe to replacement theology, which is: The Church replaced Israel as being the apple of God's eye. My perspective, however, is Jesus Christ is the embodiment of Israel and the people of God (Christians) abide in Him. He is the Vine, the true Israel and we Christians abide in him as the branches.
One way to look at it is the Church, the body of Christ, including Christ as the head, was once a caterpillar/Israel and is now a butterfly: Still Israel, but in its fullness including all the ethnic people groups that God created.
I don't understand what Paul meant by "the time of the Gentiles" but I'm certain it doesn't contradict the rest of scripture and what it says about Christ from Genesis to Revelation. Edited to add: The hatred the world has toward Jews is undeniably prevalent and it seems it is comparable to its hatred toward Jesus...which is interesting.
I wish people would spend as much time seeing Christ in all of scripture and Him ruling outside the limits of time as they do in eschatology which places Christ in specific periods of time, especially the future, which, in my opinion, limits His relevance. He "Was, Is and Shall be" simultaneously...operating in the past, present and future all at the same time.

Thank you, David. You bring up some good points. Support for Israel's right to exist in peace is not at odds with our earnest prayers that all Jews would come to faith in their Messiah, Jesus. This is why I support organizations in Israel made up of Jewish believers in Jesus. Israel needs the Gospel (Rom. 11:25-32)!
At the same time, the land of Israel is where the Bible tells us Christ will return, no matter who's in charge of the land at the time. And it doesn't speak of a New London or a New Washington DC, but a New Jerusalem: "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband" (Rev 21:1-2).

@@John3.36 Please don't use strawmen arguments by assuming that people don't pray for Jerusalem because of their eschatology. Some don't adhere to any of it because the question isn't 'when will Jesus return' but rather who Jesus is. That's the question we must answer as Thomas did..."my Lord and my God" and then go and live it out. I've heard adherants of every position twist scripture to align with their belief of the Second Coming of Christ. It's good to read Scripture contextually through the eyes of those who the words were specifically directed at because we're like children looking at old family photos and asking our parents..."where am I" as if we are the reference point in interpreting the relevancy of the picture. Every generation believes they are in the final chapter, even the first generation. And yet the admonitions still stand.. "watch and pray" and "don't be deceived."

Since this video was uploaded 4 days after the Hamas attacks, I’ll cut it some slack. But I’ll say this, though we acknowledge the special place Israel hold in history, Christianity and in God’s plan, no where in scripture are Christians encouraged to make special prayers for Israel. Paul’s command is that prayers be made for ALL people and ALL in authority for us to live peacefully. A month later into the war I would say Christians should be more inclined to donate and support Palestinian civilians in getting humanitarian aid. The Israel government has, like Hamas, shown no regard for human lives which is against Christian teachings.

And he said, “I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said, ‘I will never break My covenant with you, 2 and as for you, you shall not make a covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed Me; what is this thing that you have done? 3 Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out from you; but they will become like thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.’” 4 Now when the angel of the Lord spoke these words to all the sons of Israel, the people raised their voices and wept. THE PROMISED LAND IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH NOT RACE.
"THE PROMISES were spoken to Abraham (Not Jewish) and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, WHO IS CHRIST (Gen 12:7; 15:18;22:18; 26:4 ). 17 What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the COVENANT PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED BY GOD and thus do away with THE PROMISE (Of Isaac supernaturally born-Gen. 18:10,14/21:2,3). 18 For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on THE PROMISE; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a PROMISE." (Galatians 3/Gen. 15:4-6)
Abraham's Seed started with The Promise i.e., Isaac (not Jewish), who was supernaturally born and promised to Abram, who believed and was reckoned righteous. (Gen. 15:4-6/Ro. 4:2,3) Isaac was also 'in a figure' Raised (He. 11:17-19-a type of Christ) This was THE GOSPEL in Genesis.. Isaac never got the land but Joshua/Yeshua/Insous/Jesus led believers to the Promised Land in the book of Joshua. But they never entered into God's rest (He. 4:8-10). That will come to those that believe in Jesus (Jew or Gentile)
Jesus was supernaturally born as well, but the Bible when referring to Jesus being Begotten is referring to His Resurrection (Acts 13:32,33). Abraham's seed are Christians (of the spirit-Gal. 4:27-31) believing Christ, where 'there is neither Jew nor Gentile' (Gal. 3:28,29). Jacob's seed can come along if they believe and become Christians. (Ro. 9:6-9)
Unbelieving Israel over there today doesn't get the promised land.
    The Gospel in Genesis
"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9 BY FAITH he made his home in THE PROMISED LAND like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For HE WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE CITY WITH FOUNDATIONS, WHOSE ARCHITECT AND BUILDER IS GOD. 11 And BY FAITH even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, WAS ENABLED TO BEAR children (Isaac) because she considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12 And so FROM THIS ONE MAN, and he as good as dead, came descendants (Spiritual as well) as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore....15 IF they had been THINKING OF THE COUNTRY THEY HAD LEFT THEY WOULD HAVE HAD OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN.. 16 Instead, they were longing for a BETTER COUNTRY-A HEAVENLY ONE. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for HE HAS PREPARED A CITY FOR THEM.
17 BY FAITH ABRAHAM, when God tested him, offered ISAAC AS A SACRIFICE (Pic of the death of Christ). He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON (Jn. 3:14-16), 18 even though God had said to him, “It is THROUGH ISAAC (NOT JACOB) your offspring will be reckoned.” 19 Abraham reasoned that God could EVEN RAISE THE DEAD (Pic of Rez of Christ), and so in a manner of speaking HE DID RECEIVE ISAAC BACK FROM DEATH..." Thank you very much for this video, we desperately need this message right now. We disagree about the law and some other subjects, and that's okay, it is just my opinion and how I understand things. I have commented in disagreement with you in some of your other videos, but for this video, and for what it's worth, I am 100 percent in agreement with you. Excellent work and well thought out!
I am seeing a lot of Israel and Jew bashing right now. Some people will not say whether or not they stand with Israel - which means they don't stand with Israel. Most of this is related to conspiracy theories about Israel not being a legitimate nation from God and that the Jews are not real Jews from the Bible, etc. These crazy conspiracy theories are so easy to disprove if they did just a little bit of fact-checking and research. But they don't fact-check because they want these theories to be true, so they look for more false confirmation videos that agree with them. And these videos they watch twist scripture or take it out of context to make their points. They don't realize how antisemitic they really are. Opinions are one thing, but an opinion that leads to trying to delegitimize a group of people who have suffered the holocaust and so many other persecutions because of their faith and who they are, we can be sure that they are not understanding scripture correctly.
So again, thank you for this message. I pray that those with hardened hearts who believe these anti-Jewish and anti-Israel conspiracy theories might have a change of mind.
PS: For those with these or other conspiracy theories who want to debate me, I have no interest in that and won't respond to your comments. You can believe whatever craziness you want, it's a free country.

Thumbs up. Very good post. Several outstanding points. On the law it depends what you say about law. The 603 Mosaic laws with ten words as a table of contents of the entire book of law was perfect for its purpose. It was an indictment against Israel that crushed them. They were found guilty. Israel needed a new way to relate to God and a new way to be righteous. The new covenant is the result of the Abrahamic covenant being fulfilled. I’m a son of Abraham- not Moses.

Remember the jewish band members that said, "Love Gun"
But seriously, Israel conquered the land originally by wiping out women and children in what we would consider terrosits actions. But we accept this because we accept their God.
But seriously, Israel has continued to kill innocent civilians over the recent history. I'm not condoning the retaliation from the "terrorists" (I put in quotes because the term is assigned to many people in a way that is meant to demonize them and dehumanize them) but just saying Israel is not innocent in this war.
Anyway, side note: it can and has been argued that the jewish people in the land are converts and not the "real chosen people"
Another side note: Americans rising up against Britain in the 1700s would be labeled as terrosits today of it happened today.
Just some thjngs to keep people thinking critically and not just going along with their brand of propaganda

What some folks are missing in this video is that I am not saying we should support Israel because Israel is so great. Rather, we should support Israel _because God is so great,_ and He chose Israel. Israel is a nation full of sinners, just like every other nation. Whether modern Israel can be considered a "great" nation is a matter of opinion. Whether Israel is the people through whom God chose to bring salvation to the world in Jesus Christ is a matter of biblical fact.
God told Isreal, “For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but it is because the Lord loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers, that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt." Deut 7:6-8).
    Shalom!

I would like to know if Israel can still be considered the "chosen nation" in these days. 'Cause they reject Jesus as the Messiah and the "embodiment of God" and so far they didn't do anything to "enlighten and guide the world" or any other great feat in this sense. They also have their fair share of responsibility in this conflict with Palestine, what doesn't seem very "holy" for me.
I watched a video from a Christian channel where they say Israel already fulfilled their role, 'cause Jesus was born and raised among them, and now the real chosen people are the people of Christ. I think this make sense, but I would like to know what the Bible says about this whole thing, especially about how Israel is behaving nowadays.

Look into Islam and see where moses and Jesus fit in. Your questions will be answered. Muslims believe in moses and that he called for the worship of God and not associate partners with him but his people disobeyed. When Jesus came with the miracles they failed to recognise him and tried to crucify him. They did not recognise him and Jesus was taken up to the heavens and will return and testify the true word of God. Us Muslims are waiting for his coming. We are the decendents of Abraham through him came mohamed. All prophets called for one thing... to worship one God and not associate partners with him. Find out more don't turn away from looking for god to guide you.

Hi, Rick! And yet Jesus speaks in Scripture of a New Jerusalem, not a New Rome, or a New Egypt, or a New Palestine. And Paul says that Israel will be saved in the end (Rom. 11:25-26) and that the Gospel of Jesus is first to the Jew (Rom. 1:16). And the twelve tribes of Israel are mentioned by name in Revelation 7. So I think have to acknowledge there is an enduring sense of Israel and the Jewish people in God's kingdom.

Most Jews don't do that. They are very tolerant of both Christians and Muslims. And even if they did such things, Jesus said, "Love your enemies...if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?" (Matt 5:44-47)

@@TheBiblicalRoots Many people in the Middle East who are not Jewish by religion are also descendants of the same people as Biblical Israel, including some Palestinians - some Muslim and some Christian. That's not a reason to support anyone. The physical descendants of Abraham have been cut off from God's covenant people, unless they are grafted back in by submitting to Christ.
