This was one of the last pieces of unfinished business I had from IB. Wanted sub-10 TA IG on Extremoth since a couple months after Fatty's release and have been sitting on a PB of 10'07" for almost a year now. I'm not very satisfied with how I played outside of A4 (had many runs in the past with a faster pace going into A4), but I met my initial goal and I can't spend much time on this. 8'30" is most definitely possible.

Kebin! You cut nearly a whole minute! Was this on stream? I wanted to try this as well, but I haven’t felt like running in a long time. 😭
Nah it wasn't on stream. Spontaneously decided to revisit Extremoth since I had a new idea for the set. Realized that 3Safi/2Fatty + polish was only good in a perfect run which is just unreasonable, so went back to 4p Fatty and used PB1 to account for the 75% crit in the first part of A1 and add more consistency. Also realized how busted coal is since defense down lasts longer than a coal proc, so tanking 1 meteor gives you 3 min of coal uptime. Did maybe 20-25 tries with this set before I got this time, several 10'3x"-4x" even after so long and a 10'03" right before I got this run.

Great fight and use of insect glaive. But, isn't the Extremoth fight supposed to end in the Lava Caverns? How did you get it to end up in Nergi's area?
Behemoth and Extremoth's routing is reliant on partbreaks that occur before the area 2 ecliptic. For Behemoth: 0 partbreaks means he'll move to Teo's area, 1 or more means he'll move to Nergi's. For Extremoth: less than 2 partbreaks means he'll move to Teo's area, 2 or more means he'll move to Nergi's. One small quirk with this is that breaking both horns only counts as one partbreak for this purpose (it's a relevant detail for AED snipe meme MR water CB runs of Extremoth). In this run, I broke both his arms before A2 ecliptic. My old 10'07 I link in the description goes to Teo's nest because I only broke one arm.
@@Alternum Oh wow I never knew that. That's such a good strategy to try to get him to go to Nergi's area. I feel bad because I thought runs that ended up in the crystal area were fake and actually normal Behemoth runs 😅. Thanks for the info!!
