Insect Glaive vs Fatalis Guide

Had several hours of recordings, decided to compile some clips to go over the main points of this matchup. Not super comprehensive and lacks some of the more advanced details, but hopefully it's still helpful. May add more detailed text notes about sequences/positioning micro/AI in the future.
Important thing to note is that this guide does not teach you the weapon + matchup from nothing; basic understanding of IG's moveset is assumed. If you can't perform the recall kinsect animation cancel, the same DT punishes still apply. You'll either be doing less damage or you can just recall the kinsect well ahead of time while you're baiting cones/looking for the next opening. Why do you use Vezirstag III Forz instead of Foliacath III Forz? I'm IG main but I did not know about kinsect much. I use Foliacath III Forz because it fast. Can you explain for me?

Foliacath was best in base World because of its speed, but that speed became a massive detriment in Iceborne because of the way drill works. You want a high power, low speed bug for high damage drills. With my bug fed and the head tenderized, a single DT into the head can do 95-105 damage per tick with 3-5 ticks, and that’s just with the bug. That means you can get over 500 damage in a single kinsect drill, not including the damage dealt by the glaive itself. The Vezirstag can make up 15-20% of your total damage if used properly with DT. You’re simply not going to get that kind of damage with the Foliacath.

Guys how do you get the second buff from kinsect? I saw that sometimes he take 2 buffs, i get only one and i have the same kinsect that he is using :/
