I think Chili Heeler isn’t just a great mom on Bluey, I think she’s one of the greatest Cartoon mothers ever! She knows when to get serious, but at the same time she always knows how to have fun with her girls. Greatest Mom and Wife EVER!!!

I think one of my favorite Chili moments happens when Bandit tries and fails to teach the girls chess, and she encourages their make-believe play and tells him something like, “Work on their hearts now. Worry about their minds later.” That was kinda sweet advice.

When Bella turns to the camera and says "You're doing great", honestly I still tear up hearing that. I'm in no way a mother, let alone a parent, but I can relate to Chilli and thinking that she isn't good enough until someone says those magic three words means the world to me. Chilli is such an excellent mum, she deserves the world!
I KNOW, RIGHT? I don't have any kids, but that line got me too! I'm autistic, and I have difficulties with things that most people find easy. I need to learn to "run my own race" as well. Stop comparing myself to other people. Which is hard for me to do. I'm working on it.

My son was about 5 months old when I discovered bluey. When i watched that episode i paused the show and broke down completely. I was completely drained at that point in my life amd felt as though i was drowning.

Ain’t she always a great mum? When Bluey was first born, Chilli thought she was doing something wrong. But she wasn’t used to being a mum, now she’s amazing. Hopefully this will inspire so many people to be great moms and dads!

It better be. Mums and Dads in the past are abusive and tend to hurt their children by smacking them on their bottoms and shouting and screaming when they refuse to realise the error of their ways.
The baby race makes me cry every time I watch it. I saw it for the first time when my daughter was very young I remember hearing the mom saying "you're doing great" and I needed that so much at the time. I cry everytime I hear it. Touches my heart!!

Chilli is my spirit animal. She is so relatable. My favorite Chilli moments are when Chilli "needs 20 minutes" or when she gives Bandit "the look" after he calls her peasant when they're playing.
The adults in this show are wonderfully written. They have just as much depth as the kids. I can't wait til it comes back in June.

Chili is such a good mom I feel like not a lot of people go out of their way to recognize that. They go on and on about how Bandit is an amazing father and he is credit where it’s due but Chili is also such an amazing mom and I don’t feel like people appreciate that from Chili as much as they do with Bandit. Chili deserves the praise too!! 🧡
One of the things I love about Chili is how she validates her kids’ feelings. She tells Bingo that it’s okay to cry when Bingo says that’s all she knows how to do in the show. Bingo says that as a bad thing about herself but Chili reassures her that it’s okay and valid to cry. And with Yoga Ball and validating Bingo’s feelings and encouraging her to communicate them.
I sometimes think that Bandit is overrated with all the credit he gets, when Chilli is just as good, if not better.

@@mossey5422 I think it's because Bandit is such a rare character. There are many great cartoon mums out there, but there are very few great cartoon dads.
Melanie Zanetti really was the perfect choice to voice Chilli. She has the gentle, nurturing, motherly tone that still maintains the love in the voice even when Chilli is firm or feels cross, which is very important since children sometimes worry if their parents don’t love them anymore if they get cross with them, while Chilli’s tone demonstrates that yes, your parents still love you (as long as they are loving parents) even when they are telling you off when you have done something that justifies being scolded.
Bandit and Chili are the best parents television could ever have 🥰
Chilli was also a great mom in Sleepytime. When Bingo told Chilli that she wanted to try sleeping in her own bed, Chilli told her "You do your best, kiddo. But remember, I'll always be here if you need me." And later on when Chilli hears Bingo crying in her sleep, she goes to hug Bingo until she feels better. I love that episode so much!

Chilli is there to remind the audience Bandit isn't a perfect human (or dog) being, and I love that
As a dad, what I like about Bluey as a series is that it also shows how Chili and Bandit show how many modern couples try to split the parenting as equally as possible. Too often are the dads depicted in books and TV as incompetent, indifferent or out of touch with their kids. The series reflects the great parenting many modern couples practice every day, while also being a role model for parents to aspire to.
I just wish there was also a companion video about Bandit being a great dad.
I would argue both Chilli and Camilla Noceda from "The Owl House" REALLY raised the bar on how cartoon parents should be written.
They are, although they’re slightly different. Chili is sort of like a role model for what a supportive mom should look like, and while Camila is also a great mom, she’s just started learning how to be one. But both of them are always there for their kids.

My son and I always watch Bluey. So we watched it when he was in the hospital, and the look on Bandits face when Bingo asked to go home I’m sure matched my face exactly when my son asked the same. It was nice to think someone I look up to had the same heart breaking moment didn’t even matter she was a carton dog.
Also side note my son like that episode because he liked that bandit had to get her breathing and blood pressure checked to.
Season 3's episode "Chess" is also a great shining moment for Chilli. Bandit tried to teach Bluey chess because the game, as per Bandit, was for smart people and he wants the kids to be smart. However, Chilli takes over the game and she said, "work on the heads later, for now... just hearts." Chilli is the best role model for a mother. Caring, loving, empathetic, understanding, fun, supportive... ❤️

When Chili comforts Bluey about Jean-Luc that resonated with me. It was such a beautiful and simple way to explain the situation. I also love how even though she reminded Bandit & the kids to bring the pool stuff, she didn't show up mad or upset. She just came with the solution and joined in on the pool fun. Top tier mom ♥🧡

i love the show and love chili. im a first time mom and i shed some tears on some episodes and my little one asks me why i cry and comes to comfort me. i catch my husband sometimes watching a few mins of some episodes and the one he loved so far was the end of the episode where chili and her dad are at the lake having a father daughter moment. he goes 🥲 “aw”.
safe to say we’re lovers of this show and watch it more than our kid sometimes 😭

When she helped Bingo sleep alone, and told her she will always be there for her and love her, even when Bingo can't see her. Bingo hears it in her dream and is inspired to seek independence, because she knows her mother is always there for her. At the same time, it reminds me of death. Our parents will pass away, but there love for us will stay with us, even when we can't see them anymore.
I saw that episode a day after my grandmother passed away, and it got me sobbing. Still, it comforted me because it reminded me that even though I can't see her anymore, I know she's still there with me, and that she loved me with everything that she had.
That's why I love that episode💖

Fun Fact: In case you didn’t know the names of the kids who voice Bluey and Bingo don’t appear in the credits at the end of each episode and the reason for that is so they can live a normal life if they were revealed to be the voices of Bluey and Bingo there would be a lot of TV and radio shows who would want to interview them so by keeping their identities secret it means they can voice the characters and live a normal life

I know this is about Chili. Baby race made wife and I choke up. But bandit trying to figure out that baby carrier in the background was so relatable. Feels like all the nonsense I put together and set up for the family was background nonsense my wife probably laughed at.
I think it's also important to acknowledge the times Chili was a great mom by letting Bandit do HIS thing, such as in Seesaw.
What I especially love about Chili teaching Bingo to use her “big girl bark” is that she doesn’t get angry at Bandit or yell at him at all for “hurting their precious little angel”. Unlike a lot of other mothers in this kind of situation, she knows fully well that her husband would never EVER do anything to knowingly cause their children pain; he simply has a hard time adjusting his play intensity between the Bluey and Bingo. This something that happens to pretty much every father with multiple children of different ages.

I know this sounds silly, but my furbaby Lilly enjoyed watching Bluey, so I would often sit with her and watch it. This is a deep show. My Lilly passed this weekend and I am devastated and heartbroken. In trying to deal with my grief, I remembered the Camping episode where Chili explains about people coming into to your life and leaving. 😢 That clip believe or not has been some comfort to me. I will always miss and love you Lilly❤
I certainly know how bingo feels when in the hospital. My anxiety levels skyrocket when I’ve gotta go to the hospital even if it’s for a really simple reason.

I love Chilli. She’s such a awesome mom and certainly in Baby Race, it makes kids understand about what it’s like for being a parent and for Bella…😶…that’s a lot of kids, with that many children, I can see how expensive that is and how hard it is but despite that, she loves them all.
This is a feelgood show more of us need to watch even if we're adults and/or don't have our own little ones.
Parents who try, are, indeed, very much so, dreamy. I hope all the Bandits find their Chillis, and vice versa.

Mum School is an episode nobody really ever talks about and nobody would call it sad/emotional people usually just watch it and forget about it but that episode made me cry since Bluey hits her inflatable children every time they do do what she wants or doesn’t do it correctly and when I was younger I was just like those inflatable children, unable to do anything correctly, and gets hit for it
I am a dad of 54. I have 2 girls, that are now both in their 20s. One is away at college (graduating in a month or so), the other is married. I can relate to so much in this show. So many times I was teary eyed by the end of a short episode. Yes, it seems awkward for a person like me to watch a kids show, but I can't help but liking this show.
What I like is they don't make the dad look stupid (like so many other shows), the mom is loving and caring (she actually listens to the girls), the girls are respectful (please and thank you), just to name a few things. I wish this show was around when my daughters were growing up.

To me the episode were bingo wants to help make an omelette is relatable because on day I wanted to make eggs of my own and after a lot of trial and error I finally am able to make eggs and learned how to cook on a stove
