The episode Turtleboy was, for me, the most emotional. My daughter is Deaf and the look on her when she saw a Deaf character in her favorite show was priceless. Deafness isn't discussed or portrayed as often as it should be in children's media. So when my daughter and I see it it means so much to us.

My childhood got ruined before I even really got to experience it, so any fun I had was super special to me, and a lot of it was spent playing with my dad.
My dad passed away back in 2019, before my 17th birthday, and my last memories of him are some of the best memories I have. He was my best friend and I miss him deeply, he was 100% a Bandit type (while I’m more of a Bingo type)

"Onesie" is a top contender for the best episode of Season 3 and definitely one of the most emotional. Even though it's never explicitly stated why Brandy stayed away from the family for so many years, it's easy to discern what happened based on her uncertainty around the kids and the way she tears up when reaching for Bingo knowing she can't have a child because "it's just not meant to be" and her talk with Chili was so heartwrenching. Really hope we get to see Brandy again in the future.

Hey Cassie, Australian Dad here and while it doesn't exactly answer your question, I can shed a little more light on Brandi.
There was a Bluey Theater Play that went around the country that I was fortunate enough to take my little girl to. The story has both Bingo and Bluey fighting and Chilli trying to teach them that it's better to get along. After a while Chilli's sister Brandi is brought up and all that's explained is they had a fight over something and are now estranged.
At the end of the play when the kids finally make up the last thing we hear is Chilli on the phone, calling her sister and trying to reconnect. It was both heart wrenching and heartwarming at the same time.
Shortly after we saw the play (It was delayed A LOT due to Covid) we saw the Onesie episode air and it absolutely killed me realizing the fight was probably caused because Brandi felt uncomfortable around Chilli's children.
I was beyond impressed that they were able to bring Chilli's sister, who was only mentioned in a PLAY based on the series, into the series in such a powerful way.

    • @cassie6146
      @cassie6146 Před rokem +4

@DodgeThisBam Yeah, I remember hearing about Brandi's plotline in Bluey's Big Play and being so surprised when she showed up in Season 3! And it was done in a way where it works if you haven't seen the play but also offers a big payoff if you did.

*S p o i l e r s* For me yoga ball was one that got me the most. It really is a puzzle first watching it, just seeing bingo upset at certain moments when playing. At first I thought it was motion sickness, then I thought it was some condition. But just hearing the sadness in bingo’s voice as she says “sometimes you play too rough with me” to bandit just breaks my heart. Especially because of how sweet of a character bingo is. For baby race, it’s when bingo says “maybe you just saw something you wanted?” Instant tears.
Followed by sleep time, it is the music100%, along with Chilli telling Bingo that she will always be there for her, even if she can’t see her.

Baby Race is the only episode I have seen that makes me cry. Because my own daughter was a delayed walker. Similar to Bluey she hit some milestones early. But then she fell behind. To the point where my daughter didn't walk until aged 2. I felt like a failure. And then I ended up seeing this episode a couple of years later and it felt healing. I didn't have a "Coco's mum" to reassure me at the time though and I kept those feelings to myself. But boy did those feelings come out after watching that.

I found Baby Race to be the most emotional for me. I'm not a mom, but "Run your own race" is a lesson I'm still learning. I have a terrible habit of comparing my progress and achievements in life with everyone else's. A sure fire way to make you feel like you've made no progress at all. Camping, my personal favorite and at the very least top 2 emotional episodes for me, just gives one of the best gut punches I've ever had in a show. Jean-Luc and Bluey becoming friends despite the language barrier was so cute, but throughout the episode, I was dreading what I knew was probably gonna happen, and when Jean-Luc said goodbye and Bluey didn't understand AAAAUGH!!!! It hurt so much more than I thought it would. And then the ending to the bush-wee scene was unexpectedly really nice, especially for a scene that starts off with someone needing to take a whizz.
AND THEN they have the Gaul to show the tree growing, and then even more waterworks started flowing! But that leads into a time jump where we see older Bluey, and anyone who knows me knows that emotional ending time jumps are the absolute best way to get me to cry, and then we actually do see a reunion between her and Jean-Luc! AUGH MY HEART! If I ever need a good cry, that'll also make me smile, this is without a doubt what I'll go to!

The episode "camping" will now always be very emotional for me because of what was going on in my life when I last watched it. I watched it during the final day with my cat, who was 12 at the time and diabetic, and in his last week, he suddenly got very sick.
I was sitting on the floor next to him because I didn't know how much longer I had with him and wanted to spend as much time as I could with him. I turned on Bluey to try and lighten my mood, and "Camping" was the first episode I saw. That scene where Chilli talked about how sometimes people come into our lives for a short while and leave, but how the happy times we had with them make up for the sorrow of them leaving really hit me, because I related it back to the inevitable death of my kitty that I've had for half my life.
Sadly, my cat died less than a day later, but I try to remember what Chilli mentioned in that episode. That the happy times I had with him makes up for the sorrow of losing him

As a child myself, I've always been called "mature" and an "old soul." Due to this, I'm always expected to be able to take charge and have fully grown opinions. I never got much of a "childhood - childhood as one might say. My parents love me, but I never played with me, and so I had to find ways to get along on my own. I've always been able to see a bigger picture and have ALWAYS been extremely emotional. Sometimes, it makes people frustrated when they realize, "Hey, this kid understands what we're saying, but maybe doesn't quite want to." Being called an 'old soul" and "smart for your age' is good, in a way, I guess. But, anytime I watch a Bluey episode that has anything to do with growing old or anything dealing with time. It makes me so happy yet ridiculously and pointlessly sad to watch. I guess you could say Bluey is a "coping" show, but it's so wholesome it can tear you apart and build you up at the same time. When my friends make fun of me saying, "Why are you watching a kid's show? We're all older than that." I simply answer."It's a sweet show, don't question my habits or they'll become your habits." I leave it at that. This show is possibly one of the best kids shows out there because while it's directed TOWARDS kids, I've seen plenty of the adults in my family start crying watching this. I have, too. The best part about it all is the 4-8 year Olds who don't understand the bigger meaning right now. They might go back and rewatch this saying something like, "Oh, I remember this show!" Then will they finally realize how valuable of a childhood show this is. I'm done ranting about the show now. If anyone has made it this far in this comment, please have a wonderful day. -The 13 year old who just wrote this entire comment and now whose fingers are tired.

Camping reminds me of a childhood memory I have. When I was growing up, I met a girl who didn't speak any English, only Spanish. I remember wanting to speak with her, but being frustrated that I couldn't cuz I only knew very basic Spanish, like colors and numbers. So I started to take Spanish lessons very seriously. I wouldn't say I'm fluent, but I'm not that bad at Spanish now. I took it as an elective in middle school, took it all through high school, and even had it as my minor for a while in college. All this to say... she made a big impact on me. I never did see her again. I can't remember her name unfortunately, and I can barely remember her face. But I hope wherever she is in the world, she's doing well. Maybe we'll meet again some day!

Camping is definitely one of the episodes that made me ugly cry as it hits the hardest home for me.
I had a great childhood, but with my dad in the military we moved around a lot. We were lucky to stay in one place for longer than two or three years. I was born in Texas, lived in South Korea, moved back to Texas six years after I was born to the same place. I made some great friends while I was living there, had maybe two really good ones who I hang out with all the time. Then in 2000 that all changed when my dad had orders to PCS over to Germany. An entirely new country, but I wouldn't have friends at first. In fact, I still struggled connecting with other kids. It wasn't until the beginning of sixth grade, starting middle school, that I would met my best friend while I was living there. I lived in Germany until 2005, and I still count those years as the best of my life. Our family got up to seeing so much. I kept the same friends for those years and we grew up and bonded together.
2005 that all ended. 8th grade went and passed us by. Most of our parents had orders to PCS back stateside. We all separated and I never saw any of them again. For high school, I moved to three different cities and attended different schools in each one. I was never able to develop any lasting friendships with anyone because of it.
It's almost 20 years later and there isn't a moment that goes by that I don't think about those friends from Germany, still.

Army really spoke to me as a teen on the spectrum. I was diagnosed late, and when I was little I was seen as weird or strange by my peers. I always hear the same things over and over again, even by my own parents and brothers
“Why can’t you just be normal?”
    “Why are you so weird?”
    “Because you’re stupid”
    “You’re….something else”
“Why can’t you do it? It’s not that hard”
Seeing Jack struggling similar to me and having the same thoughts of wanting to be ‘normal’ but not being able to because there’s something ‘wrong’ with him was just….wow. That hit me. “Rain” is so underrated and is such a beautiful episode. So little is said but so much emotion is conveyed through the body language and ESPECIALLY the music. Both the track “Rain boldly in the pretend” and “Rainbow” are masterpieces that has hints of amazement and nostalgia scattered all throughout the track. Truly one of the best episodes and my personal favorite

The episode of camping means so much to me. I used to move cities a lot when I was a kid, and english was Not the native language between me and a lot of immigrant kids I played with. Seeing Jean Luc leaving and Bluey not understaning at first and sad that she will not see him again made me BAWL my eyes out because I remembered feeling like that. Back then there wasn't a lot of contnet of kids with language barriers or why immigrant kids move, so I felt very loney for a long while. Hearing Chili day that just knowing and playing with each other was worth it... I felt something heal.
And seeing Jean Luc and Bluey reuniting was a light of hope for all that hits hard for immigrant kids in this now globally open world.

I usually dont comment on videos, but because i love bluey so much i wanna share. This might be a strange one to call emotional, but "duck cake" got to me. The moment after bandit drops the cake, when he slides to the floor and just sits there with his head in his knees because of how he felt like he was letting down bingo. That made my heart break into MILLIONS of peices because i had moments like that too. But seeing him try again and bingo so happy at the end put my heart back together and the other story about the tail wagging was super cute too, making duck cake my favorite episode ❤ Now i want duck cake 😂 going to ask for it on my birthday

Something I like about Camping is unlike with most times when things are dubbed, Jean-Luc doesn't just speak another dialect of French or with a different regional accent, he speaks English. In every other media I've seen, when a character is dubbed into a language that they speak in the English dub, they're just given a different version of that same language (if possible).

Camping is so special to me, because I have a similar story. I went to France in the summer holiday 2016 with my grandparents and sister when I was 8 and I met these three kids, two brothers and a sister. Luckily, they all were English, so that made things a bit easier in terms of communication. They were 8, 6 and 4. I met the 8 year old first, when I was at the top of this climbing thing and was scared to jump down. He helped me jump down it, and I played with him for a bit until the 6 year old and 4 year old came along, and then I played with all three of them. I played with the 6 year old the most, the sister, and we got really close. We would make videos and take pictures on my leap pad together and we would always get little toy dogs from those machines you’d find in a restaurant or pub, and we’d always be doing something together on any given day. When I left, because I left first, we became pen pals and we would write letters to each other for the next couple of months, but then around Christmas that year I lost their address, and they must’ve lost mine because we ended up stopping writing to each other. This summer it will have been 8 years since I met that family, and I wonder how they’re doing. I still find those little dogs lying about, and there are lots of videos on my nans old phone including ones from that holiday, and of me playing with the kids, specifically the 6 year old

Well, camping is emotional to me because I had met someone in second grade, and became best friends with her. Shortly after meeting each other, she announces she has to move to a different state. Two years later, we meet up again when she came to my state for family. I saw her again, then didn’t see her for three years, with not really calling each other. This past November, (2023) with me almost thirteen and her thirteen, we saw each other again, now with us being taller, our voices deeper, while gone through puberty and now much more different. Camping reminds me of that

As a person who wasn't lucky enough to receive responses like Chili's to my anxieties and troubles sleeping growing up it's such a powerful illustration of what could have been, and also of how to treat myself better when I'm having a tough time.

Knowing that I could’ve ended up with the same issues as Brandy is enough to make me tear up.
