Reducing Rotating mass is huge
You are 100% correct! You can NEVER have too many tires! I have a CRATE of tires!
You could probably feel the spur gear mount and spur gear. Lowering rotating mass can make a big difference!
This was cool to look back on. I have 10 different style/sets of tires. Tires really are THE number one adjustment. I watched this series when I first got into the hobby, right as the pandemic was kicking off. Now, seeing it again knowing what I know, these tips and parts are very useful! 👍
Soooo jealous of anyone who had a beautiful carpet track near them! I’d slap someone for a beautiful track like that in Michigan near me.
Great series! Especially for the 'newbies'....
Be very interesting to let a 'pro' have this buggy for a couple of hours at the track and get their input??!!! lol
Nice job.
Bravo Brett! Great insight and advice throughout the series.
as a new driver and having a used 6.2 arriving today this was invaluable and very helpful.
It’s all about the driver and set-up...... these race chassis peaked years ago....practice, practice, practice😎
There is still a lot of development going on making cars easier to drive or a bit faster.
Great series keep them coming u are really helping people
Went and checked out the new carpet tonight, wow what a difference!
Great freking series build! Keep them coming, very Impactful!
I loved this series
Great series. Went out & bought the b6.2 myself to compete. Gonna try the mamba x esc in mod class with a 13.5 motor of some sort.
Awesome video and amazing series. Your other videos are top notch aswell!
Amazing video bro loved it that buggy looks epic
Great video
Good Job. A lot of fun. I away enjoy your videos.
Thanks for the waffle, much appreciated. Keep up the good work!
Ohhh, so THAT's why the RPM camber gauges are out of stock, lol. Eh, I had one in my old tool box, which went missing after I took inventory of what I have earlier this year (almost 20 years out of the hobby!). What a crazy Global situation.
Anyway, it's been fun seeing the trials and tribulations. You never learn anything if you don't try and test - the important thing is to keep the changes mininal (to better keep track), jot down notes on what it did, and build up your "Engineer's notebook". This was a good and fun series to watch! 😁
Writing down experiments and results is a great tip!

Thanks for answering my question about the speed!
These videos are the awesome!
Great video bro👍👊 thanks again😎
Great series for some noobs getting into racing. Thanks so much brah. Do anothern
My mans is TAN!!
Man....i'd love to see a side by side comparison of this and a rtr race vehicle
Yeah the Stampede 4x4 vxl v.s the new Hoss 4x4 vxl
There isnt a rtr race vehicle
Diego Olivera rtr - ready time race
@@R53.charlie *ready to run
We have plans of comparing this race buggy to a rtr converted into a race buggy, if it ever comes in stock. We'll see.

Last????? lol 😂. Hi Brett, yet another awesome video, really great tips and very informative with great ideas. I’d still love to see you race the wee buggy, i think that would be awesome 😎.
I just built my b6.4..😂 I think the first thing to change is the battery holder besides the alum servo horn..
Really enjoyed that series! Can you do one about improving driving skills? Would appreciate it. :-)
You need a monster truck build series next!
NICE 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Another gem sir. Your next mission, should you choose to accept it, build and trick the new Kyosho MP10e kit.
It's a dynamite heat Gun with a laser light like i said before in your battery video a few minutes ago
Most tracks are dirt. I learned a lot from this series. Could you do the same series on b6.2d??
Someone mentioned comparison..
I'd like to see a Kyosho/TLR VS this car.
Can you guys make one of these series for the TLR 22 5.0 SR roller for dirt tracks? Would be a great alternative with not only a different surface type but also a different brand! Getting back to RC’s after a 25+ year break and man a lot has changed.
Man i wish u guys did this with the new b6.4d since u guys still have the dirt track
Plz do a short course dirt build project I could help me and a lot of others on how to go about building one
I love your videos and tips. Your customer service department sucks though, ive been trying to track down some deliveries but no one is replying.
If i was racing i would want in kit.
Tyres. Suspension. Several shocks sets. Each with different oil weights
Diff oil is more a keep track records of each race .stats etc. And change maybe prior to race day.. ..
Shock springs.. multiple types..
Even batteries. The c rating if its not set as one number. Then brands which could be slightly different. Under the c rating.. e.g. 45c but more like 25c. .
.
I need a scale drift bodie for the kyosho fazer mk2 chassis ne ideas
Yo Brett, thanks for the speed test!
But compared to my Schumacher Cougar kc with the Alu-Chassis, the Asso b6. 2 is really heavy...
My Schumacher weights ~1520 grams and is 3 years old!
Thanks for the info!
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies That's somehow weird, isn't it?
I didn't do any upgrades to my Buggy expect for a aluminum diff (8g heavier than stock) and my Buggy is still lighter than a brand spanking new Buggy..
Schumacher has generally had pretty light weight chassis over the years. It's something they are pretty well known for.
@@shadow7037932 Well, to be honest, I didn't know that. 😂
I bought the Buggy only because
1. I wanted to try stock racing
And
2. Because it was on a 50% discount, lowering the price from 400 to 200 bucks...
LoL I just recognized that you shave almost 100g weight with the carbon chassis and the gear eliminator kit...
That means my Buggy would be at about 1420g,way to light for most classes.
@@RC-ty5ym carbon chassis is 80g saving about min weight is 1499g or something. Schumacher kd with alum front casters ti front axles hingpins is 1524g or something. The laydown is a massive improvement over KC/kd for high-med traction. Kd with all alum parts is 1570g with front wing and ultra light weight body.
Another very informative Video, but who was the guy in the Thumbnail picture?
Yeah! Clickbait 🤣
I used to love my b6 but now that I’ve learned to drive I just notice I can’t ever get enough rear traction unless it’s on throttle while cornering. Forward traction just doesn’t exist
Do a awesomatix touring car
Did any of the videos mention what spur and pinion it has setup? I'm also running a 17.5 with a HW hv10 justock but max out at around 35khm

I wish they would build the best possible nitro race buggy they could vs the Kyosho rtr they built last year
Big $$$
-Brett
Why? A race kit with a $500+ motor will smoke the rtr easily. A nitro buggy can get to 1600+ easy.
What do I do if I want to race these but there are no tracks near me..?
Forgot to add the member fee for the Club/Track.
So 200 on top of the 340 for the kit. 540 minus motor esc servo radio. So there is roughly 8 to 1000 bucks in that 2wd buggy?
Yes
Yup. It cost to have fun
The buggy was purchased brand new, the electronics were used, and the upgrades were purchased over a period of 6 months. So the upfront costs were much less doing it this way, which is ideal for a beginner started out in R/C racing.
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies true unless the bigginer doesn't have used electronics then its 1000 dollar buggy time haha. All in all 6 months or not u will sink big money into it. I have a sc6 I race and have sunk some money into it haha
I'm late to the party, but what about sway bar kits?
Good tip. We ended up only using the stock sway bars included with the car. Team Associated offers thinner and thicker bars, but we didn't experiment with changing it.
-Brett
B6.3 build coming?
Does your site ship the products in India ?
Yes, we do ship to most addresses in India, as long as the shipping service supports the address. We cannot ship some items Internationally because of laws, like Nitro Fuel, LiPo batteries, and a few other hazardous products. Hope that helps!
-Brett
Don"t like those big gaps in the middle of the jumps, my track has them and its hard for new guys to get around and if anything goes wrong they really tear up a car
I guess thats part of the learning process if it doesn't turn them away, sells lots of parts I bet.
Learn how to time jumps. If you can't time jumps you will always struggle should know your car speed compared to trigger and where your trigger should be able for the jump.
Could you guys do a Traxxas slash 2wd brushless?? I have one and I would love to see it!!
Sell it buy something deacnt. They are cheap and crap. Plus Traxxas sues everyone for no reason.
cowpker4life nah, my favorite car

Excuse me sr. Do amain hobbies send to mexico ?
Yes sir. AMain Hobbies ships to Mexico, but we cannot ship certain hazardous items to Mexico, such as LiPo batteries and Nitro fuel. Hope that helps.

@@AMain_Hobbies Thank you Brett.
When you guys buying j concepts!? Horizon has proline and losi. U guys need to step up your game lol
Horizon my buy you if you don't watch it lol
Man where's your track
Chico California. Silver Dollar raceway
@@byzone0632 great 👍 I need to find one close by
Second
I wish I could find a good rc car for real dirt tracks
There's a dirt version of the B6: www.amainhobbies.com/team-associated-rc10b6.4d-team-1-10-2wd-electric-buggy-kit-asc90035/p1410381
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies that’s the first one I tried. I never got a bit of traction. They’re all designed for clay
@@AMain_Hobbies and it ruins bearings almost immediately running on real dirt
@@AMain_Hobbies 99% of the time my cars just sit on a shelf because I have to drive so far to find a proper racing surface. I have a dirt track half hour away but no car to drive on that surface. Even 1/8 scale cars just spin out most of the time
So about a 1000 dollars and I'm good lol
Who's that guy in the thumbnail?
His name is Brett.
