“driving fast is hard” i’ll attest to that, just got finished replacing the back end of my rc after nailing one of the only objects at full speed, gyro started over correcting which added a slight wobble and tail slapped a pole, and now it all needs tuning up suspension wise and steering😐 but hey it’s still fun even when you destroy it

I remember back in middle school I cut grass all summer to buy my first real RC, it was an RC10GT RTR. That thing was my life and I spent all my money upgrading it until I had to start saving for a real car. Back in the day u went to a local RC shop for a tune & upgrades and where u could meet competition, these days people watch youtube videos.

Well back in the day was better bc u went to your friends house to play games or went to local competitions, these days none of that happens, it's all on the internet at a single click away removing any real interactions.

I raced a losi JRx2. I fondly remember my best friend and I (who got one for Christmas too) spending the weekend putting the kits together. Racing on the weekends with my dad are memories I won’t forget. We were easily the youngest racers and all the old guys were more than happy to share their knowledge with us. Good times!

The best part was building them. I was into RC in the mid 80s to late 80s then I got my driver's license and forgot about that stuff for a long time. Saw a Tmax and had to have that thing. Started looking for one I could build and everything was pre built. The only kit I found to build was a Tamiya drift car. Cool little kit. I'll say they are a whole lot more durable now back in the day I was always breaking stuff super bummer.

I'm 40. I STILL have my RC car from when I was a kid. My dad made me build mine with one of the kits, and I took care of it and made it last. My sister and I painted it gold with brown highlights, and it was 1 of a kind because of the paint. If I had batteries that would stay charged, my car would still work. I've looked for a long time, and there are no kits anymore. It's a shame, because I wanted to buy one for my kid, but unfortunately can't.

I just installed a SCT esc with castle 1410-1y, and I’ve tried your directions but I do not get chimes, it fast blinks red about 10x and the goes solid yellow. turning the steering to the right gives me solid a red light with a beep(doesn’t sound like the chime), and then to the left the light turns green.

Is it ok to use 1 6s?

RC from the 80's was far better. I think you're too young to know.
