Being able to see the chassis under the body looks terrible. It looks like a 1993 S10 with a body lift where you can see the whole ass frame lol.
Take out the body clips from the body mounts move it down a hole or two and the problem is solved.
Its like that on a traxxas stampede but i dont see anyone complaining abt that. But still you can move it down, that is if you buy it.
@@Crummieboi56cause the stampede isn’t trying to be scale. On the other hand this Tacoma is very scale and the chassis being very visible takes away from the realism
@@SackmattersApparently these noobs can't figure that out 🤦🏻♂️
@@beanbag4982 then just lower the body, its not that hard.
500 dollars is absolutely nuts for a truck like this. There are so many better options for the price
Where? Just to check!
@@Le0no any traxxas 4x4 vxl car or arrma
You have to pay Kyosho and Toyota, that’s why it is expensive.
@@simon0721 no way I thought the cars were free megamind
@@GatorMans If you change that body and remove the name on the grille, it would be 100$ cheaper.
I appreciate your honest review of that truck!
The Kyosho Rampage Outlaw Pro suddenly seems like a better option.
Good review.
I appreciate the honesty.
Loving the beard Brett!!
It looks like it’s a blast to drive
Looks fun but a little slow
Just purchased this from you site and I can't wait to drive it!!
Heck yeah! Congrats on the truck and let us know if you need anything.

I may need another body soon. I messed mine all up smh.@@AMain_Hobbies
@@myong9Oh no! That's the nightmare. If the body is cracking, you can try to add this tape to the inside of the body to hold it all together better. It adds some weight but might be worth it. www.amainhobbies.com/kyosho-aluminum-heat-shield-tape-40x2500mm-kyo96165b/p37779

Looks awesome
Thank you Kyosho for entertaining us!!😂
amazing and very detailed body
Damn 🤑
That‘s a cool truck 🫶🏼
Id love to see a roller version. Miss me with that extra cash for a Taco body. The mad wagon has had my attention.
Nice rig. Unfortunately there's not many stock out the box races any were it's hard to have many folks come out any more and have fun
Here we go again......wooooooooo
I spent hours raking those leaves, I'm sending a harsh letter to Amain right now.
Great video as always but which one do I buy?
The Kyosho, the Traxxas ot the Team Associated?
Sexy Tacoma! I'd buy it because Toyota is awesome. First trucks to ever cross south and north pole!
Very cool truck! They should make a TRX!😮👍
Overly hyped just like the real trucks 😂😂
They should have made a real bed for the body and left the stickers off of the windows so you could see inside of the truck
if they are sticker you could probably just peel them off
God I love this basher 😊
First thing i thought was those wing mirrors are coming off 😂
Hello, which 3S Lipo did you use on this video? Just bought this Taco, Thanks in advance.
For $500 I will choose the arrma Mohave 4s
I think that is probably a very good smooth power system. For a scale looking vechile I like vechiles that drive smoothly at all speeds similar to a real vechile. My biggest gripe with the Traxxas Raptor R and the 3s VXL in general, is on 3s it is a cogging and surging machine which is impossible to drive at slow to medium speeds. You have to drop to 2s or go alot smaller on the pinion which compromises speed. A good scale basher would also be the BigRock 6s albeit $200 more but an awesome vechile. Even the 6s Mojave another scalish vechile that drives excellent at all speeds. The Maxx is another excellent one albeit not as scale but still a great driving vechile.
Wow, I like kyosho but this thing looks goofy, being able to the whole chassis under the body like that. Also way better rigs out there for the price.
I was excited until i realized it was a fast basher. I thought a Kyosho TRD Tacoma crawler would have been amazing. Oh well...
Seems way overpriced, and while the body itself is scale looking, seeing the huge gaps through the wheel wells between the body and the chassis does not look good. Personally, I would not buy this, unless it was close to a $300 or less price point.
It needs inner fender wells to protect the gap exposed under the chassis.🤔
I would buy one if I had an exact same model in real life. Everybody wants a mini me RC like their real vehicle.
I got one but it’s black so I’d have to buy a new clear body and paint it anyways 😤
What is the wheelbase? Looking good on a crawler IMO
Dropped the ball
Rc4wd ftw
When will these be shipped? Ordered mine on October 2nd... soon it will be two months on pre-order.
If I had the extra money to burn I'd get this. I have a black 2016 Tacoma SR so is paint it black to match my truck. This is a dope ass rc
did i see dollar bill's under that hat !! $500 for toyota body and paint. instead ill take the inferno anyday !! keep up the good work.
like i said before, i like it but even the Body looks scaled it also looks cheab and is really wobbly while driving. so for the price i say add a bit and get like a losi baja ray.
I wonder how long it will be until somebody swaps out the Mad Van a arms/driveshafts to make this more wide for sct racing?
Only one problem: Inner fenders wells to keep debris out from under the truck chassis.😅 If kyosho goes for aftermarket parts for it.🤔
@@Flunkyjunkyfloyd123 Or 3D printer can fix that🤔, there some custom artist out there, knows how to do it right.😉
I pre ordered some time ago. Any idea on product arrival?
How does Kyosho even sell these things? T plug, hair in the light buckets, body completely jacked up from the chassis, plastic shocks and CVD 😂 They should sell a generic version of this without the Tacoma licensing for $350. I paid $500 for the new Mojave 4S and it’s not even comparable 😅
What's a T plug?
*_At $500 for this... They are out of their freakin' minds!_*
For 500 should have fender liners and a live axle rear suspension.
Its NOT a scale truck, it's a basher! Do you see fender liners or a live axle (🤦🏻♂️) on the Raptor R?
True!😅/ Those parts are a missing points for Kyosho.🙄
At least aluminum shocks for crying out loud.
@@jerryvolpini7987 Nope!🙄
1:51 Brett, is that… a lifting decal? On a brand new kit?! Come on, Kyosho!
Yes. Lol
I had a Nikko top of the line in 1989 or something. Full speed 25 km/h. Silly ofcourse but now my son has a 75 km/h rc and every time he’s fixing something. To much power nowadays.
so 500 for a hybrid SCT RC CAR with a Taco body, i will pass. The TA enduro Knightrunner is a good Taco 1/10 with front independent suspension and rear drive axle.
This chassis and model was designed for speed not obstacles
seems like a good bit of tech & design ... personally, i'm not fan of the mall crawler body. to each their own. seems like it would be more stable if they had left it wider.
What are your thoughts between the Toyota and the Arrma Mojave 4s?
The Mojave looks to be a more extreme basher but isn't as realistic looking, so it's a trade off.
-Brett
$500 is laughable. I’ll forget about this truck by tomorrow.
Is ordering batteries OK during the winter? Does anyone worry about them freezing during transport? Is that even bad?
It's generally ok and not an issue. In extreme conditions a battery could freeze but it's pretty rare and might not harm the battery.
-Brett
Looks amazing. For that price. Mojave 4s
Unfortunately, the only "good" thing I see in this is the body...and, it's not just because I'm a Toyota fan. While the aluminum chassis plate is great, v the rest of the chassis is highly questionable. The body mounts have got to be the worst I've seen, and it won't surprise me if those turn out to be one of the primary "weak points". It's too bad Amain doesn't ever seem to want to do a true "durability test"...guess, we'll just have to wait for Kevin Talbot to get ahold of one of these.
For those who really want this truck, my best suggestion would be to buy a Traxxas Raptor (referring to 58094-8, not the 'Raptor R'), upgrade it to Traxxas' VXL electronics, and then replace the F-150 body with this body (I know, the body isn't yet available, but it's safe to assume that it will be within the next few months).
Watch AussieRC’s video on it. Main “weak” spot is indeed the body mount but he found a solution for it. The platform as whole is EXTREMELY durable. I have a Mad Wagon and can attest to that
This truck actually rips on 3S there's already videos online and actually surprised me but agree has flaws as do almost every RC.
The body looks nice, but there it somehow ends for me. The body sits too high and one can literally see through so the whole car looks very hollow. The suspension seems too stiff for off-roading. Everything that could have been made out of plastic also is. I mean - plastic shocks at this price? Plus the body attachment looks like an afterthought. Bottom - I wouldn’t buy one, sorry Kyosho.
I can just buy replica body like that tacoma and slap it on my Rival MT10 plus get some matching tires and rims boom.
4RUNNER VERSION?
No way this is worth $500 they are crazy and it seems to handle like crap too. Thanks great review
Think imma imma stick with my traxxas raptor r
Hmmm seems like everything on the truck is cheap but the price.
what happens to all the stuff you guys test? are they for sale at discount
All the space under the body should have been used to add an interior.
Looking at its stance I was thinking trail truck, then the narrow track guaranteed it. This ain’t no SCT.
Dear kyosho using a 5s capable motor with 3s capable esc makes 1 rly slow basher. Youd have to gear it to the moon to be fast on 3s and the esc mosfets would explode...
Did losi buy Kyosho lol. 500?? Not even. Maybe 325.00 max. Insane.
🤣 how do y’all sell anything at these prices! I know I’m not the only one saying fu
This, the super baja rey or baja rey ? 🤔
Well actually that chassis showing like that is pretty ugly. I'll go with the super Baja Rey.
$500 is laughable, at best. This would OKAY at $250
Cute. price a no go. I have the real thing in that color.
More plastic should mean less money not more.
I wonder if they could have made it cheaper
京商のボディはクオリティが高いけど価格も高い🤑
ボディレスで120ドル下げられるはず
I hate the way the body attaches to the chassis. It's the same crap on the SCX10 III and I hate it more on those.
Longer, narrower, and taller. Those are recipes for not being a fun basher.
Hi
The chassis genuinely spoils the look an to some point the performance
for that price I rather get another Arrma Mojave trophy Truck
Where's the Nissan Frontier?!?! It's gotta be cheaper and more reliable than this one...
body sits waaaaay too high in my opinion
That truck in China is probably worth $50 max
bruh that car sow
Shoulda been a crawler,
I love rc cars but they suck up so much money on parts and upgrade
It's a little too scale to be a basher.
It's more a trail truck or possibly a crawler 𝙉𝙊𝙏 a basher
It’s a shame such a nice looking body is gonna get decimated by the chassis and the driving style. Almost seems pointless buying something that looks so scale when it’s trying to be a short course basher.
Appreciate the review of this rig so I know not to get one.
Such a nice body , such poorly executed mounting 😂😂😂
its too high from the chasis
Way too expensive!
That’s way to much money for this in my opinion
Too bad it’s not a crawler!
Composite, sir, composite. And seeing Kyosho following the steps of Traxxasor or Arrma by adding so much composite pieces, non threaded shocks and other details makes me fear for the company's reputation and future.
At this price kyosho should add at least aluminium shocks 😢
Its overpriced and It’s just not a good looking truck. The fenders stick out way too far, you can see the entire chassis on the side, and the finders are way too high
-someone who is no where near designing an RC car
These electronics most certainly are NOT waterproof. Stop perpetuating these blatant lies.
All I heard was plastic plastic plastic!
Guess you missed the bit about a METAL chassis and other parts!
Definitely not worth the money!! The only thing that’s nice is the body. But there are so many Toyota Tacoma bodies out there now. Even though this is one of nicest. Still not worth it..
it looks super dumb with the chassis so low
500.... this joeflashion is getting fkn screwbally...
300. Maybe....
I wouldn't bash that.... that's gona fold like a dollar....
Also needs bigger tires and half inch wheel spacers....
Definitely not a 500 dollar car... 250 final offer...
Looks too tall
I never know why toyota would name a truck turd.
Well I don't know a lot about rc but it sure is sad to hear it's built like an idiot, because it's one of the few good looking big bashers, most of the other stuff might be "hobby grade" and priced as such but sure look like cheap knock off toys
