    I have tried different ways to get my phone to ring on incoming calls unable to hear the ring the bell with a line across will not disappear why.

    I did what you said to do ,put still never helped me , my phone will not ring when someone calls

      I would recommend contacting your phone provider to check your settings more thoroughly

    My Panasonic home phone set doesn’t receive calls, I checked all connections together with volume set up but still not receiving calls when you dial up the house number, how to troubleshoot the issue ?
    The LCD panel not showing any incoming call too !

      Please double check whether the handset itself fully paired with its base unit. Also, you could try to unpair the handset and re-pair them again. Another suggestion would be reset its base unit to see if the connection re-established.

    The phone can receive a call but gets a busy signal when try to call out I tried the go to settings and do the reset but dot have the option

    My Panasonic KX-TGA660 one unit (5) won't ring. The other units ring. A bell with a line through it displays when a call comes through it. I can't hear any ring when adjusting volume or ring tone. Silent mode is turned "off" . Why is this happening?

      Hello! The bell with the line through it is an indicator that silent mode is turned on. Try holding down the star key!

      It is possible that "Silent Mode" is enabled on the phone. This is indicated on the screen by a picture of a bell with a line through it. If this is the case press and hold the star key for a few seconds to disable Silent Mode

    What you have to do is Press Menu and Then enter the number #160 and then press the arrow up several times to adjust volume. That will take your phone off silent mode.

      Here's how to adjust the ringer volume on a Panasonic KX-TGD830 phone:
      Press the Menu button
      Press ** Pound 160**
      Press the Arrow Up or Arrow Down button
      Press a number on the keypad
      Press the Middle Soft Key to save your selection

      @@pittaperth I returned the darn thing, had to manually use Smart Call Blocker, Silent Mode did not work, couldn't get speed dials in. Just went back to my landline & I let the nuisance calls go thru to voicemail, they hang up. But I do thank you very much for the help!!

    Hi,
    My panasonic cordless phone (Model # KX-TGFA51) has 4 phones. 3 won't ring & have a bell w/a line thru it (silent mode) on the screens. Nothing has worked & I can't find anything on the internet.
    I tried the following:
    =turned up the ringer
    =held down * key a few secs
    =The manual says "Turning silent mode on/off":
    1. [menu]#238
    2. Select setting-> save
    (I turned silent mode off. Didn't work. I turned it on & turned it off again. It didn"t work.
    PLEASE do you have any advice? Thanks CLK
