Thank you for this video. It saved me so much time and aggravation! I wasted 5 minutes trying to turn the ringer back on through the menu, then I thought 'surely some kind soul made a video'. On my phone it isn't the star button, it's the zero. Just check the keys for the tiny bell icon to choose the correct button on your phone and press for several seconds till you hear the tone. 🔔
I'm trying this but it's not working. When I push the * button, all it does is show a * on the screen, then it shows an upward arrow and the word Pause below it. No beep. Silent phone.
Hmm.. That doesn't work on mine. I even went into the menu and manually turned silent mode off but it won't turn off. Everything was fine until my cat knocked the handset over and stepped on it and the ringer got turned off. It happened once before and one day the cat stepped on something again and turned the ringer back on but now its off again and I can't figure out how to fix it.
This did not solve my problem. However, I found out that in the Comcast Connect app under the call forwarding settings that it was set to ring one time before going to vm. When I selected 7 rings, my phone rings 7 times before going to vm.

i spent hours trying to fix this for my mother. thanx for this video, my phone was pressing the "0" button instead if the star

when I press that key during ringing it just answers the call! this is really frustrating ffs any tips?
