This video should be called: “two news anchor’s speak after showing short clip of David Berkowitz”
I guess you missed the "preview" in the title
They said nothing new. I have a feeling this is the entire interview.
Definitely yes 😅
"News anchors"
They're so provocatuer
he doesnt "look" scary? how scary do you have to look when you have a gun?
LOL, the reference meaning he looks like any "joe blow" on the street. Shows anyone can be a killer and that person who looks normal AND NOT SCARY may live right next to you.
Got it now?
That is how he was able to get away with it for so long
He does not look scary so he was able to blend into the crowd
lmfaooooo even a baby would look scary with a gun
Most victims never even seen him he approached so fast and carried out his shots so accurately then fled as fast as lightning
How many of you here after Son of Sam Netflix show?

Have you seen the movie 🔥
Does that reporter even know what a psychopath is ? That description gets thrown around so much it lost all meaning
Ted Bundy also seemed pretty ordinary. Still, he was a full blown psychopath by any standard, and evaluated as such by people within the profession, not by reporters.
@@antibulletdodger101 Ted Bundy was undoubtedly a psychopath but is David Berkowitz one? That is debatable..
I agree ! I don't think all serial killers are psychopaths. The Son of Sam was involved with satanists and drugs. That's was the reason he killed.I doubt he's a psychopath.
@@antibulletdodger101 There was nothing ordinary about Ted Bundy. You could see it in his eyes that he was a monster, he could not hide it.
@@goat8434 Berkowitz is paranoid schizophrenic. The demons in dogs were command hallucinations. He appears normal because he is institutionalized and has been compliant with anti-psychotic medication for decades. If you want insight into him and the murders, please read Son of Sam by Lawrence D. Klausner.
This man did not act alone. I just don’t believe he was only one especially after watching Netflix series. I just bought Maury Terry’s book, and can’t wait to read it.
He was like the families Tex Watson for the children, the scapegoat
i wanted to buy it, but it's around 100€ ... how did it cost to you?
You seriously bought into that? Did you not watch the final 20 mins or so of the docu-series where everyone pretty much says Maury was a wack job who was connecting A and B without any evidence?
Personally I think John Carr was likely involved but Maury connecting it all to the Manson family and The Process and all that stuff is just wackadoo nonsense.
@@powpow9560 I get where you are coming from everyone did say Maury went off the rails a bit, with all the connecting A to B so B must have known C and D. But some of those same people that said Maury went off the rails, and was obsessed with the case said that Maury was onto something when it came to the sketches, and that he was right more times than he was wrong. And if speaking of there were 5 different sketches they got from witnesses none of those sketches really looked like David Berkowitz, even the mayor at the time of Berkowitz arrest said that Berkowitz did not look like any of the recent sketches. I definitely believe both John and Michael Carr was both involved in the shootings, may be even 2 others based off the sketches.
Some people said he was mostly a nice guy

Hard to believe this was forty years ago.
It is hard to believe that it's been 41 yrs now. (8/30/2018).
I was 17 yrs old and living in the South Bronx. It was supposed to be the best summer ever. I just graduated High School and was ready to have the time of my life before going away to College. Unfortunately, the Bronx was Burning Down, the Gangs took over our Neighborhood, a Heatwave that caused the '77 Blackout and the .44 Caliber Killer aka "Son of Sam" made for a truly memorable summer (for all the wrong reasons)!!!
I will never, ever forget
"The Summer of 1977"
And..... to top it off Elvis Presley passed away that August.
It doesn't seem like that long ago at all. Can't believe 4 decades have come and gone.

There was an even creepier, albeit, lesser known string of murders where the killer left calling cards at each scene. Next to each body was found a white porcelain plate with two fried eggs and one slab of ham that had been dyed green. The first victim was discovered in a house with a mouse. The second victim was found in a box with a fox. Police detectives will not release anymore information on this case and, "The Son of Sam I Am", killer remains at large.

Isn't this what we wish would happen to a criminal? To turn himself around, to hate what he was, to devote his life to help others? But, when this happens, and it's rare... nobody believes his intentions. There's many out there who do forgive their loved-one's killer. That's rare also. I believe him. After 40 years in prison, you're NOT the same person you entered as.
Agreed
Actually, the mother of Stacy Moskowitz, the blonde 20-year old victim, did forgive him in 2006, right before she passed away. She hated him, but at the end made peace. The poor woman lost all three of her children before she died in horrible fashion.

As a former correctional officer I remember sitting at a table talking with The Gainsville murderer serial killer Danny Rolling, I called my brother also a former correctional officer and told him this guy is alright my brother response was” Robert that terrorized and killed 5 people
Even though he does seem genuine in his apology and remorseful about the victims that he took and the ones who he ruin their lives for. But he's always going to be label as a serial killer and what he has done can't be undone. I won't be surprise if he would snap again and go on a killing spree, much that I want to believe that these certain people to change is kinda hard to believe in my opinion.

You're scarier than he is. What you're saying is quite possible, but not known. Taking conjecture as fact is a dangerous style of thinking.
Good catch. He never mentions the anti-psychotic medications he is forced to take in prison. If he is genuinely pained by what he did, he would not seek media attention. He would do his time and be done with it.

The man is a psychopath. All of this niceness is a sham. His only refute is to convince others that he is “reborn”, a different person different than what he used to be.
As it was said, this kind of personality is what draws people to him. This is how he gains peoples trust. There is no known cure for psychopathy.
I cannot speak for this man, but if he was to hypothetically be released, there is no telling what he would do. To give perspective, this cordiality is exactly how he would act in person. How he would draw people in. A person who you would credit as being your best friend, the best human being you know, a person who would give you his own shirt off his back until he kills you and your family for his own pleasure, rinse and repeat.
Castlehill650 he was offered parole in 2002 and said he believes he deserves to be in prison, had come to terms with his situation, and accepted his punishment
Castlehill650 If you knew anything about his life up until his arrest you would know he most certainly is not a psychopath. If anything he was exploited by psychopaths to carry out those murders. He was a lonely impressionable young guy who fell under the spell of some seriously evil people.
Joe Mullan So besides the fact that just about all psychologists, forensic or not, agree that he is Psychopathic and the fact that he blatantly meets the criteria of the Hare Psychopathy Checklist, you seriously don’t believe he is a psychopath?

@@richardvalvona1159 because the difference between me and you is I don't make dangerous leaps in judgment based solely on my gut.
Your gut isn’t telling you anything. You have a preconceived notion about this man based off his history and a society that tells you people like him are beyond redemption. I don’t know why it’s so difficult for someone to believe that an all powerful God who literally spoke life into existence is capable of transforming someone’s heart. A man who had a true desire to do harm would be chomping at the bit to be released on parole to continue his reign of terror. David has refused to even attend his parole board hearings and on a few occasions even demanded there not even be a hearing. I see a man who displays genuine remorse for his actions and has done what he can to reach other inmates in an attempt to help turn their lives around. At the end of the day, his reformation is between him and God, but when someone has such a dramatic transformation from the evil they used to live in, it’s hard to deny its authenticity.

People that have spent a lot of time in prison become excellent con-men and manipulators, doing things, saying things and acting in a certain way so that they may get something out of it for their personal gain, they are almost almost always manipulating others and have some kind of angle they are trying to work. As much as you may like to believe he has changed for the best, there is a large probability that it's all an act.
While I generally agree with you, there is proof that he does not want any of this.
