  • An obsession with the devil, horror movies, and the occult motivated David Berkowitz to go on a random killing spree in 1977 that terrified New York City.
Then, while in prison, the man once known as the "Son of Sam" became a born-again Christian. He's since spent hours sharing his story with well-known pastor and behavioral scientist Michael Caparrelli. CHECK OUT our interview with Caparrelli on Tuesday's 700 Club.
It all started 44 years ago. That's when fear gripped the Big Apple as a mass murderer gunned down six people and wounded seven others.

I've read the book and really enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy reading more details about the crimes, but was fascinated by how the author was able to explain how and why this could happen in the first place. Many of us deal with some of the same issues as David Berkowitz. And these very issues can be a recipe for disaster, because all it takes is one bad decision in a moment of stress/anger/rage, etc., to change the course of our life, including those around us, forever. Only God knows our heart and our troubles. I do believe David Berkowitz is a born again Christian, and is forgiven.

I highly recommend this book, Monster Mirror, because David Berkowitz finally comes clean with someone he truly trusts.
It goes into the psychological and spiritual aspects of how David went down a path of darkness… and how he later re-emerged into the light with the help of Christ. A truly fascinating read

Witnesses saw a woman pull the trigger in one of the shootings. One of the detectives said he was convinced there were multiple shooters. Two men (brothers) who were best friends with him mysteriously died. One of the brothers had fled the state after David was arrested and then was found dead under mysterious circumstances. So much to this case that David will still not disclose. The truth will set you free.

Jesus took the punishment upon Himself for the sin of every single human being who ever lived and will live.
Every single one of us is a sinner in need of the Saviour, as if we believe in Him, repent and turn from our sin, we will be forgiven and made clean as if we’d never sinned. God will cast our sin as far as the East is from the West, and create a new heart within us… We become new creations in Christ Jesus, and this man has experienced that… Such is the love and compassion of our merciful Creator 🙏
His eyes are upon you as well, as Jesus paid the price for your sin also. The wicked and selfish, liars and thieves, are all welcome to come to Jesus for forgiveness through repentance, thus insuring entrance into Heaven with God for all of eternity… The alternative, you don’t even want to think about.

I question that all people who isolate are symptomatic of this type of behavior. Some isolate because they found the Holy Spirit and do so, somewhat, because the majority of the population are currently influenced by non-Biblical teachings, have different values and have fallen away from the Lord. They isolate because they do not feel as though they have much in common with them and want to avoid their negative influences. These "isolators" need to stay close to the Lord Jesus by reading the Bible and prayer. ✝🙏
