now my house can run at 60FPS..thanks noctua
🤣
Only 60? I was thinking at least 240
Do you write for GamesRadar? If not, they stole your joke for their headline.
@@pingosimon no i don’t write nor work for gamesradar or even affiliated with them in any way..in fact i’m not even in the videogames journalism industry to begin with..but thanks for letting me know….
but from a technical standpoint,i don’t think i can file any lawsuits whatsoever lol cuz ya can a comment be trademarked or copyrighted/made as intellectual property..
but yeah i really never expected gamesradar to do this lol
I thought this video was a late April Fools day joke someone had dreamed up.
PC fans are pretty crazy as desk fans (I use mines as one atm. I live in South Asia which is very hot.). There like 4 to 5 watts vs typical 15 in fan at 50 watts. You save tons of money.
Same airflow, smaller package, less power draw, all around W@@vanguard812-vf7hr
they just made fans happy
it's actually shown in CES a few years back i think
I still think it's 1st April upload. Just finished processing and appeared a bit late 😂
$100 USD for the desk fan
$80 USD for each device cooling fan
Interesting, but very expensive products.
Yeah, way too much. You can buy the plastic shroud for $15 and a 3 pin to USB and make your own though.
You get what you paid for. True it's expensive but you're paying for its quality. Noctua is not some small brand that makes mediocre fans, they are considered one of the best if not the best in its industry.
@@karlsonchee2701 I get that, I've been using Noctua fans for a long time, but the desk fan is literally a case fan with a plastic shroud.
@@karlsonchee2701I agree, but there is a line between paying for the good stuff and paying brand name just because. I can literally buy a top of the line cold air fan for my room for $100.
@@EpicRiftPvP Maybe its more of "lets see if theres interest in this" type thing? Really not sure
Can't wait for Noctua Airconditioning
They dont do liquid cooling
@@xhogan89x That doesn't mean they can't branch out in that too.
@@xhogan89xnah bro that's phase-change cooling
Do you mean Noctua Ventilator fan.
@@xhogan89x not yet
Honestly, this feels like an inevitable and long overdue product category for Noctua to pursue.
thats why arctic did it first :)
With the help of Noctua you can now bolt one of their fans to the underside of your table to keep your betty swollocks cool during the summer.
Third-party options Has always been there for that issue. I always use this brand's fans, but I have to use third-party options to mount it.
Betty Swollocks 🤭
Comes in pretty handy down here bub 😉
If you ever make car radiator fans, my wallet will become lighter by a lot.
yeah, that would probably really be a LOT
Tried to reply to this twice and YT ate the comment, I hate google -_-
Ok this comment went through, let's see if I can edit it to add what I was trying to comment...
I actually emailed them about this back in 2021 and even linked to a radiator fan for a specific car that I wanted a fan for. They kind of avoided the question (as the fans they reference are not big enough, though they are automotive qualified). Here is the reply:
> Dear Ancyker!
>
> Thank you very much for your enquiry and your interest.
> I can inform you that we have already developed fans for use in the automotive sector.
> These are the following fans:
>
> NF-A12 industrial IPPC-24V-2000 Q100 IP67 PWM
> NF-A12 industrial IPPC-24V-3000 Q100 IP67 PWM
> NF-A14 industrial IPPC-24V-2000 Q100 IP67 PWM
> NF-A14 industrial IPPC-24V-3000 Q100 IP67 PWM
>
> For more information, please have look on our webpage (...)
To this day I'm not sure what these fans are for/why they are automotive qualified as I've never seen a 120mm or 140mm fan in a car or truck before. Maybe they are for big rigs? I think the APUs and stuff on those might use 120/140mm fans but I never looked into it.
That literally makes no sense bud why would you need quiet fans in an engine bay
@@AndrewB23for an EV.
@@AndrewB23 No one said anything about quiet. Noctua is also known for the high flow and static-pressure performance of their fans. Whether or not their knowledge of small fans translates into a magnitude larger fans is a different question
Fantastic. The home market is sorely missing high quality fans. I had to buy a somewhat expensive Xiaomi standing fan with useless "smart" features just because it was the only one with actual decibel rating. My father, God rest his soul, had to solder a small pc fan to cool his A/V receiver in its cabinet - having a great quality solidly built solution with guaranteed low noise is just perfect for those use cases.
I hope it kicks off and the prices can come down with volume production.
Can you guys also develop a Noctua AC unit fan? Cause all the AC units i've seen are sooo loud. i wanna put Noctua everywhere man 🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The AC fan has worst performance, because of larger rotor.
You could theoretically use the 200mm fan, but I'm sure the compressor would be louder.
@@thisfeatureisbad i think my old case the CoolerMaster Cosmos S had a 200mm side fan. but our AC unit fans here are huge compared to that. they're like kinda 800mm?? 😆
That's why i love when cases use big fans tho. they're so quiet.
CoolerMaster Cosmos S: 1x 200mm side
Fractal Torrent: 2x 180mm front
Asus ProArt PA602: 2x 200mm front
A quiet fridge would be cool too - but the compressor would be the issue
Wont lie, while this is great I feel like I may die of old age before your new 140mm fan and new D15 comes to market.
i think they plan to release it alongside half life 3 in a bundle
Agree. I'm waiting Noctua to update my CPU cooler, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up with something else
@@user-du2ls7hf2o arctic all the way
Already replaced their 140mm fans in my case with Be Quiet.
Agree, but D15 still works perfectly fine
I'm a 1830 mm Noctua fan ❤
How fast do you spin?
@@Morpheus-pt3wq depends on the voltage 😂
Amazing, I love how you added power supply to plug into a wall. AND I like how also showed use with Audio gear like A/V recievers and Amplifiers - solves my problems
Need a speed controller though.
@@jamesm568That is where most of the cost seems to be. Yes, it comes with one.
I wonder if the desk fan will receive 140mm variant soon
According to the noctua website, it seems that the desk fan mount supports both 120mm and 140mm fans. The positions of the supposed mounting holes for 140mm fans seem weird though.
Noct your average home accessories. Totally stoked on these! Well done Noctua 🦉
The man himself!
I was just thinking if you @Mr_Matt_Lee saw this. Could be the solution to you smoke problems after testing new builds :)
Best cinematic PC builder right there
Australia needs this now
We needed this a few months ago! 😂
Jokes aside, been waiting for Noctua to launch this for years. Awesome to see it finally arrive, though I was definitely expecting it to be in a new form factor.
No we don't. For 1/10 the price you can get a standard desk fan that is twice the size and moves more than double the air.
As an Australian. I Will NOT be paying the $130+AUD for a 120mm fan are you crazy?
MAN I WAITED FOR THIS FOR YEARS!!!!!
This is awesome! I downsized my case a while ago and I have a load of Noctua fans kicking around that I don't have a use for, but I can think of some uses for them elsewhere around the house for sure!
I have built a custom-made contraption just to use Noctua Fans for home ventilation, it's drilled to a wall. I for one am extremely happy but also scared... Did you install a secret camera in my home??? 😂
Seriously, thank you for finally making this!!!!
bathroom airflow gonna be crazy with this one
was planning on buying Noctua fans to cool my A/V Receiver. What a timing lol!
Finally! Definitely getting the FS1 and FS2.
Just bought NV-FS1 on Amazon US. I've been a huge fan of Noctua ever since NH-D14 came out. Yes, I also replaced with NH-D15 Chromax Black which fits and works no problem inside Cooler Master H500M! 👍
Oh my god you guys finally released it, it's been years since this was teased
i love your products. very high quality and plain
I love this. The thing is, if Noctua did it everyone would start to make their own version which is good rather than have to create your own DIY kit. So, thank you Noctua!
Glad to read i'm not the only one, I used Noctua fans for a bunch of custom contraptions in my home. Reliable and quiet fans, hard to find elsewhere than Noctua!
I can't believe they finally released it! The mad lads have done it!
this is awesome, i have been cooling my body with noctua since 2019. cant wait to get the desk fan soon
Thank you so much for doing this. I will put these all over my future home.
I wonder why wall plug rather than usb-c.
So people don't plug their 12 volt PC fans into 5 volt phone chargers and then cry about it not working
@@Arctic2Noob I would have thought the type of people buying Noctua products were not that sort of uniformed buyer. Am I wrong?
12V output mode is an optional in the USB C PD spec, so if Noctua supplies an USB-C plug, it will need to be pre-programmed to request 12V and not all USB charging bricks are guaranteed to work. It's just more headache
@@daunted2322 there are (mostly) two types of noctua buyers: the first type are the ones who know the fans and their applications, the others are the "youtube/ reddit/quora told me to buy this" or "expensive must be good" type of people. For example, you see people slap noctuas in their cases with zero consideration for the acrual path of airflow more than you should. Then there are those who bought a 5 volt fan for their PC or a 12 volt fan for a raspberry pi asking why they're not working.
@@DuyLeNguyen thanks for this informative reply! :)
this is going to be so cool for modding
Cools my head as well as the CPU
Given that I can easily 3D print these to my already existing noctua fans, thanks for some inspiration.
Ironically, I’m tempted to put that shroud into a case
The fanset device cooling though is actually pretty cool.
You could do it for the looks, but don't expect performance benefits from this inside a case.
ORDERED TWO!!
I will definitely get a desk fan if the price isn't too crazy.
Spoiler alert, it is.
Only 99.90
Just bought the Desk Fan from Amazon schedule to arrive next week .. hope it’s good cause weather is really getting warm now
giving my game room a make over with a new Haworth Fern Chair and Asus QD Oled coming in Mid June
I actually use two Noctua 140mm industrial fans as air outtake of my house bathrooms. They work great!
Great idea I like it
Can we make a soldering fume extractor with these?
Yes, absolutely!
Is designing "HOME" stuff why there isn't a D16 yet??? As a resident of southern NV I am always looking for a large quiet house fan got any 20 inchers in the works?
I needed that 15 years ago ;o]
had to have an old psu running a pc fan placed on top of my old onkyo avr that was overheating
this looks a lot cleaner, especially when in black
This is incredible! Just what I needed.
Now please also make a 50mm fan, and my setup will be perfect ❤
When I see this, the product and especially the pricing, I would love to sell all my A12 Chromax. If you then take into account the development time, Noctua is definitely on its way to becoming a meme
This is surprisingly brilliant and elegantly would solve a huge problem of getting extra airflow late to my itx
Case under my desk without the noise and clutter of a large fan blowing cooler intake air from the side. Also mounting on or under a deck can provide a nice ac like or foot warming feel depending on time of year and directional placements. I might get one to help enhance my itx case airflow!
Perfect for my grow tent
Oh, look what finally came out. I was wondering where this concept went.
does this help with ventilation in a media cabinet? I want to put my ps5 there but I don’t want air to be stuck in it
For ventilation in a media cabinet, we would recommend installing some of our standard fans. The new NV-PS1 and NV-FH2 (or the NV-SPH1 set) can be handy for powering them though!
Damn I've been waiting for this for so long, I was thinking about repurposing an industrial Noctua fan as my bathroom extractor fan.
Not gonna happen.
@@ThisIsMeArnold Obviously, it is.
@@LegendHidde You're either a moron or a child if you think any grade of PC fan at any RPM has even detectable amounts of suction into a ventilation duct.
Actually pretty clever remarketing idea imo
Do I need it? No. Will I get it for the giggles at 99 USD? Probably.
A box fan (~51 cm) would be amazing. Assuming the price isn't insane.
just 999 USD pre tax
Finally someone is making what I have been doing using god knows what I find.
Oh hell yeah!!!
I made these myself years ago with some Zalman fan controller, a cheap 12v wall wart, soldered on a Molex connector, and used some nuts, bolts, and washers as stand-offs. It’s a good idea but they look very DIY still. I’m sure the quality is good but compare the Wife Approval Factor to something like a Vornado fan that is similarly priced and moves a lot more air.
I remember when you guys where showing off a desk fan like 4 years ago.
Noctua's marketing team is creative, i'll give them that
I was only joking about the ceiling fan, you guys have done it for real.
So can it work like a type of laptop cooler?
Yes, absolutely! The NV-MPP1 pads are ideal for putting 120 or 140mm fans underneath laptops. You can either use our 5V PWM fan models with USB power adaptors for this or the new NV-PS1 PSU.
I bet this would work great as a wind simulator for my sim racing rig!
Finally, the noctua ball cooler
This is the biggest news. I've been desperately waiting for something like this for years.
I have so many projects that will take advantage of them. Everyone is joking but i'm actually so excited.
All we need now is a box fan! Summers are hot in America! 24" diameter is preferable!
FINALLY LETS GOOOO
Omg. They made a ball cooler lmfao 😂 definitely buying that hahaha
ngl this is kinda a great idea
So next step is getting into home appliances? I would love to see your products in HVAC, home heat recovery systems (recuperator) or even AC/heatpump units.
When are you guys making a bathroom fan?
Amazing
Noctua top❤❤❤
The fan duct has become real! I really want one! How's the air speed with it?
I would have liked to seen these in the signature Noctua colors (🦉) but will of course be buying some of these products.
one under desk mounted gootch cooler please
gonna be nice to mount under desk for diy kotatsu or anti swamp sack
This might actually be very good for noctua in the long run
wouldn't the NV-FS1 air duct improve PC airflow?
Noctua the world!
Can you make a solder fume extractor attachment? I already 3D printed one using your industrial 140mm fan and an activated carbon filter, with a design someone posted online. It works ok but I think it needs some ducting to create more suction and be more effective. Also needs a quicker way to change the filter and maybe even add a hepa filter if the fan is powerful enough to move air through it.
I'll probably get to designing a new one myself at some point, but just wanted to throw the idea out there :)
Yes, that would work perfectly! We're sure there will be some nice user created models for this soon.
please make normal desk fan, something like 30cm diameter? i will buy it, and it must be in brown and beige
At this point I have lost track of how many years I've waited for the desk fan since it was originally shown but it has to be at least four or five.
I even thought about it as late as last week, when the first few warm days of the year cams around. I was like "man, that noctua desk fan sure would be nice to have by now"
If I'll be honest, I can hardly believe it's finally here.
With all the effort that's gone into making it, I'm sure it's one of the best products of its kind on the market and the additional products in the lineup are a nice bonus too.
Excellent video as always, keep up the good work!
Only love for Noctua.
I have a noctua fan on my cpu cooler - it good
I can imagine those NV-FS2 fan set for device cooling a game changer in stereo and headphone amplifiers
12v car plug version would be nice. I have no AC and the the driver side window is fixed due to the bad regularors on 5th gen civics.
This could be adopted relatively easily if you're willing to mod the cable! You could also use the separate accessory parts with one of our 5V USB fans and a USB car adaptor!
Can this be used in a bathroom setup? do note bathrooms can be very wet.
Our standard fans are specified for up to 90% humidity. If you go beyond that in your bathroom, please use our IP67 rated industrialPPC fans.
@@NoctuaVideos I didnt know industrial ppc fan can withstand moisture. Interesting!
So noctua Soldering Fan?
Please make quite ceiling fans & also exhaust fans. That would be so much more useful than current offerings.
Linus can whipped something up with this
I could actually use this. i have an 8 port 10GB network switch and it gets friggin' toasty. i just ordered a bunch of thermal pads and used heatsink. putting this on top could really help.
Yes, that's exactly the type of application where the gasket or the NV-FS2 are very helpful!
Why no real sound in the context of other sounds (ticking watch, dripping faucet etc. - something that would help convey just jow quiet they are?
Just in time for summer lol
What about the new 140mm fans??
Ooh, is the desk fan finally coming?
They probably work great, but as someone with blepharitis, I can't use it. Maybe you could make one with a receptacle you can fill with eye drops, so it just sprays mist constantly into my eyes.
now i just need a PS5 Noctua flavoured oem replacement. that would even sell like a looot
Need for fridge cabinet cooling
a little note to your marketing team: if you launch similar products and then share it on printables just so people can access it then it would be realy nice to show in last second that it's also avilable to print. lot of people didnt know it(me included) soo it would be a nice touch to the video, or you could now make a pinned comment that it's airflow guide part is also avilable as an .stl file. it's nice that you do it, but in my opninion it would gain a lot of trust(yes i know you got every trust we can have for company already) if you would embrace this mentality that people dont need to buy your products to get the best. (ik i'm a random person on internet but trust me on this) there would still be a lot of people who would buy it regardless.
Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated. We will add references to the STL files!
Start doing cabinet cooling like AC infinity!
Love it where do I buy in Australia?
Sadly it might take a few more weeks for these to arrive in Australia, so we would recommend ordering from Amazon.com!
D15 G2 video please!!!
@Noctua_at. Hello, I would be interested in multiple of these products. Will be there another places to buy other than Amazon? I am from Slovakia and we dont have amazon and if i order from Germany or Poland have unavailable shipping on many different products.
Yes, sure, these will be available through other resellers as well shortly. Shipping restrictions from Amazon Germany or Poland to other countries should lift soon as well!
I actually have a use for these R/N...
