    Surely there’s some consideration for Secret box with this promo card, right? It gets you a nest ball, the jungle, and the ancient booster or the mochi, depending on the situation and a supporter of your choice. Even if you play Arven to get the box you still get so many pieces of the combo.

    • @nikzito2
      @nikzito2 Před 5 dny

      secret box is 100% the best ace spec for the pecharunt deck

    • @OmniPoke
      @OmniPoke  Před 5 dny

      Possibly the case and I’ve gotta play around with it some more but going first we can’t supporter so our draw is substantially less and if I’m having to arven for it I’m only playing jungle in one list so box becomes a +1 tool and basic mon (via artazon) and a supporter refund, doesn’t sound that insane unless we raw draw into it and there’s more to consider than t1 pecharunt odds 😅

    • @jamesh1815
      @jamesh1815 Před 5 dny +1

      @@OmniPoke for sure there’s more to it. I think it’s worth considering in the Klawf deck as well, though. Arven into Secret Box (which I agree is suboptimal) can still get you Binding Mochi and Ancient Booster, Artazon, Nest Ball and whatever follow up supporter you want for next turn so you just have to find the double colorless and/or a switch. Hard drawing Secret Box and playing Colress’ Tenacity (in Klawf) or Janine’s Secret Technique (in Okidogi EX) for turn seems pretty strong as well. I don’t even think Secret Box is a bad option in Turbo Moon.

    A small correction: Hisuian Electrode V didn't rotate. I think people mostly cut it from Klawf decks because Charizard has seen so much less play lately.

    • @OmniPoke
      @OmniPoke  Před 5 dny +14

      ah it's the curry that rotated! (making the electrode terrible lol) but yes also because beating zard is less appealing

    • @OmniPoke
      @OmniPoke  Před 5 dny +1

      While it’s great for the t1 pecharunt, prime catchers insane for the remainder of the game for all these decks 😅 and when going first we often won’t see enough cards to draw into box

  • @fmradio9728
    @fmradio9728 Před 4 dny +1

    I've been thinking of combining pecharunt with hit and run attackers to stack damage, wondering if you've considered any of these options: Hisui Zoroark V has a free attack for 30, Regieleki V does 30 for one lightning and has a great second attack and can evolve into vmax to stack more damge buffs, Seviper LOR does 60 for two darkness, is a single prizer and works with dark patch and Janine

    Already been testing this card against different archetypes these last few weeks my build is solely built on spread with poison keep the pachurant in the active at all times & one on bench in case of iron bundle. Been having a ton of fun donking like 15-20% of the time against those low hp basics going first! I think the okidogi with the binding mochi is the best way to play pachurant we’ll see how it does for worlds!

    the only issue with the klawf deck i would say is maybe having another attacker or the very least many a 0 energy attacker as a backup option to klawf, having just pure klawf just doesnt sit right with me but maybe im just too used to having different attackers on the board

    no way the donk strategy is consistent enough to be relevant in a tournament setting. You're going to need to actually build your deck specifically to enable this consistently. In BO3 setting, all you need to do is bench 2 pokemon during setup or just go first.

    Premier Pokemon TCG Trainer Division
    In response to the ongoing world championship discussion, please consider the below restructure.
    Create a new TCG division that is above Masters. This Premier division becomes the TCG’s e-sports league with a focus on elite competition and cash prizing. Masters becomes the hobbyist’s league with a focus on player recognition.
    Below discusses the general distinctions between Premier and Masters divisions.
    PREMIER DIVISION:
    -128 players. Cannot compete in Junior, Seniors, or Masters major events.
    -Bottom 32 players relegated at the end of the season. Top 32 players compete at Worlds. This creates four TCG World Champions: Junior, Senior, Masters, and Premier World Champion.
    -Invites to the Premier division come from top X Masters.
    -Invites to the Premier division may be offered to the top X Senior players (e.g. World Champion).
    -Premier players earn premier championship points at majors and ICs. Regular CP is meaningless and does not count towards their standings. Premier players may compete at cups and challenges, but their outcomes have no bearing on their season standings since no Premier CP is awarded at locals.
    -The Premier season is comprised of only major events and do not include the SPEs.
    -Since SPEs are cashless, they are only for Junior, Seniors, and Masters and become an event celebrating the hobbyist (think amateur championships in golf). SPEs also bring a focus to competition in regions that have smaller player bases.
    -Cash prizing is significantly reduced from the Masters division in support of meaningful cash prizing in the Premier division.
    -Top 64 travel stipend. The top 64 Premier players receive equal money to supplement travel to every major event. Intent is to restructure present day travel stipend funds, not increase TPCI’s travel stipend obligations.
    -Premier meta becomes more strategic. Premier players avoid round 1 poke-parent meme decks.
    -The Premier division fits entirely within the current tournament apparatus and does not require any new events. Additionally, there would be minimal, if any, staffing increases (reduce the number of Masters participants by 128 and allocate those tables and judges to the Premier division).
    -Eventually, TPCI could leverage this professional division as their e-sports league and integrate e-sports types of exposure and revenue streams that would benefit the company and create increased earning potentials for the players.
    MASTERS DIVISION:
    -Cash prizing is reduced significantly (e.g. $2k for champion, $1k for 2nd, etc.) but stamped cards and mats are increased (e.g. day two cards, top 64 cards, top 32 cards and mats, etc.)
    -Top 4 at majors (to include SPEs) receive auto invite to Worlds.
    -Worlds can remain a CP threshold, but limited to the following BFLs: 3 majors, 1 IC, 1 cup, 3 challenges. This reduces the potential personal funds outlay required by a hobbyist player seeking a worlds invite through excessive travel. Furthermore, those making worlds will have to have had good finishes vice a large collection of middling performances.
    In conclusion, creating a Premier division creates the environment that recognizes and rewards the strongest Pokemon competitors while also carrying forward the heritage and celebration of the hobbyist player competitor
