THAT's what this rotation was missing! A deck that plays an absolutely egregious amount of energy that feels like it shouldn't work, but it can. Thank you FTW for bringing this one to the international audience
There has always been that one "Theme deck level energy count shenanigans" deck in the format for last few years. Like an Avatar, being reborn into a new card, though mostly Water.
kyurem vmax is very similar to this deck too, lots of water energy
I made a goldengho deck that played 20 energies (just a 4/4 line of him, greninja and manaphy) which actually worked pretty well
I went undefeated w/ dondozo at a challenge, wild shit. It was literally just dondozo, arven, nests, heavy, and a ton of water energy.

The moment when you prime Pidgeot out and take down with Basculegion is so great.
U should play cipher so you can greninja into 2 cards of your choice and you could also get better rates for the attack
I'd probably cut 1 Larry for 1 cipher or both Larry for 2 Cipher's. Would be a great consistency boost with greninja like you mentioned
@@aS__Spencer At that point you just load two energy's and attack with 120... doesnt waste a supporter
@TravelswithRosie yeah you could do that too. Honestly though, the cards you grab are dependent on the situation you're in.
I love these kind of decks, I can use some of the hidden gems in the pile of cards, building some decks to surprise my son!
I keep wanting to make a radiant steelix basculegion deck. Not sure if it can work.
Maybe with new metang, and Scizor to do some initial damage.

I don't even play this game but I like how this deck is evocative of the flow of water. You gradually fill your discard with water with kingdra and then back into your deck with basculegion like its the water cycle or something. Very flavorful

Tricky Gym was playing a similar deck on stream earlier today. It was pretty bad, but when it worked, it worked!
Kingdra ex is coming in Shrouded Fables. I wonder if this Kingdra will be playable with it. Either way, I'm excited. I love Kingdra :D
Honestly had to give this a try and honest opinion is, when it works it WORKS.
I've only mulligan a little bit of times nothing crazy surprisingly
Maybe adding a super rod wouldn't be bad taking away maybe 1 energy for it or 1 Larry since you can use Bas ability to search
The amount of times ppl are surprised is insane, everyone goes for the rotom v and disregard the Bas and kingdra when there the main attackers
Late game Bas is so strong and with prince catcher its even getter to hit the last 2 prize or single for the W
Like I said only down side is either you brick like crazy and can't search for anything or last turn your crossing your fingers for Kingdra's ability to hit enough energy to get the win
I used this deck, it’s really good, however I added 2 super rod and 2 Seadra to stop devo and it slaps

What did you take out?
I took out 2 energy, 1 Larry and 1 cycling road
But I’m trying it without rotom and an extra cycling road at the minute cause I never use rotom and he’s just too much of a liability on the bench

Wouldn't running Rotom in a single prize deck only be worth it when you're also running Forest Seal? Otherwise doesn't Cleffa feel better?

Next set, this deck will need not just a Seadra or a Canceling Cologne, but a Rabsca. Maybe a TM Evo to set it up.

xD looks like the Gyarados WAY back when i played pokemon tcg online which milled the top 7 cards and every water energy did 30 dmg and every energy was shuffled back into the deck

Just so you know, any Tera type can be hit by effect attacks. I main Tsareena ex and Icicle Sole hits any card anywhere in play. Doesnt matter if its Tera, Manaphy or Jarachi are in play. Only one really protected is Bidoof lol
I believe jirachi stops tsareena. And tera/manaphy stops things like kingdra
@@myramedchan4775jirachi only stops Sableye. Jirachi's card states that it prevents the effects of an attack from basic pokemon.
@@myramedchan4775 its weird that it would stop Kingdra, but it doesnt stop my Tsareena. And to note, in tournament play and on TCGL it has never stopped Tsareena
@doublet1570 kindra does damage × number of found energy. Wheras tsareena places damage counters until they have hp remaining. It's like the difference between cheinpau ex's attack and mimicu's attack they both target the active but one deals damage and the other places counters.

I don't think there's any good early game attacker for this type of deck. 1 could say that you can add Palkia VSTAR into the list, but that would become clunky and put your opponent in favor of winning even quicker.
@aS__Spencer maybe for now it would be smarter to turbo through the deck with cards that filter what you need into your hand. And use basculegion as the first attack :/
