Omg so many people triggered by music, get over yourselves, if you get distracted by a little tunes just mute the shit
Vin killed it on the mounts
This is the kinda content i need in my life. Im up in Canada its spring time but still chilly. Car season is starting in April. So i need these build videos to stay during winter.
You guys are killing me with the music, I love your videos and I REALLY love the fact that it’s not filled with needless music. let me hear the grinders and mig, I don’t mind!
Wow. Vin is a very skilled fabricator. Those mounts were SICK
that welder is an artist
Damn those are some badass engine mounts. NV auto is really knocking it out of the park with this swap.
So much win in this update. The car is coming along great can't wait for it to be finished.
Soooo good watching a professional like Vin fabricating things. All the techniques, equipment and shortcuts learnt from years of experience. Love it.
Vin is a bad ass.
Props to Vin.

SPEED ACADEMY BRING THAT REAL TRAP SHIT YO
DAMN SON WHERE'D YOU FIND THIS
Love the depth of this episode. Really step buy step with out feeling like "step by step". PS. the music is just different then what subs are use to....doesn't mean it's bad. Gives this build a different personality. Glad to see you guys mixing it up.
Love the switchup in music, see some ppl are complaining. But youve used a bunch of different styles before.
Way to keeping it fresh 🤙
Thanks, so much hate on the music but thats very typical with change.
Good work on the motor mount Vinh!!!
im pretty sure theres only a couple completed Honda swaps in nissans but I am so glad that this is happening. im building an f20c powered s14 currently
Very cool! Eager to see how you got the oil pan to fit, that seems to be the biggest hurdle in the Schassis swap
the oil pan had been cut and raised to go over to crossmember similar to what you did, except the f20c has an alloy sump, although the closest point is still only around 3mm from the steering rack it should do the trick.
Awesome fab work Vin !
That guy is an insanely good welder
Amazing work on those motor mounts. PS: i like the music 😁🤘
I'm enjoying following this project, looking forward to seeing the results, keep up the good work 👍
We know you'll be going with a custom made propeller shaft and might have done the checking behind the scenes but I hope you can later discuss the details on how you determined the output shaft alignments, angles, shifter positioning, etc that determines the final position and angle of the K-motor in there. Thanks for these build videos! keep em coming!
Love watching these manufacturing/fabricating videos! Great job guys!
That mount looks good! I doubt it’ll go anywhere! Making history here guys! 👌🏽
One of my favorite vids. Awesome fabrication work.
i really do apreciate when you guys try out new stuff. but please, the music... time to go back. your videos before have been much easier to watch.
More dubstep fellas!! Shit was awesome!
Lots of hate on that music but I don't mind it. Great video as usual.
Great job on the mounts..just ensure there is a drain hole or slot....
NV auto is the place ! Hopefully i’ll get to see you guys at the shop one day !
Looking good guys! I think I'm sold on this swap, and will only purchase some top feed injectors for my SR to take advantage of the gtx2867gen2. Once this motor goes, I'll get a k24 as the replacement in the Z32 and carry over my turbo and injectors for some easy and smooth power. This is an exciting swap!
Thank you for the great share! Always wondered how others fabbed up custom mounts. Learned a lot!
On music - try something more positive as those beats were pretty sleezy. Appreciate the willingness to try new things though.
not gonna lie kinda buthurt you are putting a k24 in that nice s14. not hating this is a badass channel.
Should make a jig for the mounts so they can produce them
I was thinking the same but then I reckon that replicated mounts would only work with the same block/gearbox setup being used here, unless that is the absolute ideal block position and there is tolerance on the gearbox side for different gearbox choices??
#speedfactory
My question, does Vin need new friends...I'm in GA if he'd like to consider leaving Canada. Bring your welding talents good sir!
I dont mind the music at all! I kinda think its dope! Keep it.
That Engine Mounts look perfect. You must produce it. ;-p
Awesome work guys!!
Great looking mounts!
damm you guys killing it paint them black so they won't rust that easy 👍💯🔥
Vinh for the winh!
I like the way they can get things done, for me I have to go out and buy a tig welder and then try to learn how to tig weld
You gonna use the head off K20 as well? I'm not super knowledgeable on K series, but i hear the K20 head flows alot better than the K24 and is pretty common practice for racecars.
Not the k20a3 head
Honestly, a tsx k24 head almost flows just as much as a k20 type s head I think the difference was like 4 cfm or something minimal like that.
Back when i had an fa5, everyone wanted a z3 head from our cars. Its probably different now but that was part of the formula for all those 300+ na hp power
k20 type s a z3 or the jdm itr head are the heads you want.
its like a 60whp gain on the same fuel with a k20a2 head lol
I apologize if I missed it or this has been covered:
How or at what degree of lean angle does the engine need to be set at to allow for proper drain and how was the angle determined?
definitely made the mounts a harder way but the main thing is that its done. i hope you made spares as well
Why would we make spares?
Love this!! great fab work man very educational too!
Music is great, video is great!
Wow that guy does great work
Speed Academy has me looking at the K series swap like 👀👀👀
Vin for the win!
the Video is great as allways but the Music does truly suck......
Timmies wedges are great with the chipotle mayo
I really like this build!
That bass track is THICC!
Fablife ftw keep going man
I enjoyed the music. Don’t listen to the haters
K swap everything ftw!!!!
The music is so OTT please chill lol. Liking this series tho
That was a big job! But good work!
Great video, getting these guys to replace my clutch sometime soon, she's slippin :/
How about use the Astra H power steering pump it’s what all us drift guys use here in he uk great pump 👍🏻
Never heard of that pump and not sure if its easy to source here.
Better paint up those mounts before they start looking crusty!
I agree that music is weird. Works fine for the intro but doesn't fit your characters enough for every B-Roll shot to have it.
The music gives me a headache!
No apologies needed Dave, timmie's wedges suck....from a fellow Canadian
Let the hate flow through you. 😂
Nice work 💪
my question is, if the have a forklift, and the engine is on a pallet, why didnt they just bring the engine down off the top of the con box?
Nice!! I think you may have climbed "mount" Everest...LOL
how is the engine being held in place/positioned while they're making the mounts? Is it sat on some sort of trolley?
You guys should make a engine/trans bracket kit and sell it.
Hey guys it possible to make a Mazda speed 6 rear wheel very simple with RX8 6 speed transmission, I think it don’t need spacer between transmission and engine, 280HP directly
Let's see how they hold up against that massive K powah!
Where did Vin get that dust mask?
What about CAD to start with rather than making brackets onto steel plate?
Music is dope. done listen to the crotchety old haters
Pretty excited to see this car go fast! Whats the power numbers you guys are shooting for? 220 hp and 170 or so tq?
How did Peter get on the roof of the container?
More Celica please!!
Can you Refab a set of mounts I’ll buy them
What kind of matco flashlight is that?
hey speed academy will you gut the car? and If I may what about a plexiglass rear window and carbon fiber goodies
Are you guys going to make extra mounts
Do you guys offer k swap engine and trans mounts for a 300zx with a k20/zf trans?
Some year mr2 Toyota’s have electronic power steering just a suggestion
did Vin happen to save those measurements for those plates? i'd love to buy a set
Colin Chapman is rolling in his grave at the sight of those mounts! If that was alloy plate they’d be ok but that engine will blow up before it produces enough horsepower to need those mounts.
The music was crappy but ignorable when it wasn’t louder than the talking.
which gearbox did you use for the swap?
How many actual man hours went into those engine mounts? I feel like that would take days to make them look that good
All I need now is a garage, so I can preform my own K swap.
Hmmm, that music really doesn't fit this channel.
I mean at least it isn't awful. I agree though these guys are so humble haha it doesn't fit.
different people have different tastes. For me it is awful....
Andrew I disagree
sneeky7 chill out, it's just a minor complaint... The music just doesn't suit the channel.
Was someone using that engine as a boat anchor?
what ECU did you use
forget powersteering pump, mount a rotrex supercharger and boost it!
so in this video i learned that nissan engine KA24 is sucks. and do a honda K-Swap in?
What is the new intro song???
Could you please tell me what size metal did used for the mounts
Cesar Ortega 3/8th hot rolled steel. But if you're planning on making these use cold rolled.
Vinh Ngo yes I'm planning on making some I was going to use regular steel but I rather ask professional like you.. what's the difference between hot and cold
Cesar Ortega when you buy steel it'll either be hot rolled or cold rolled. Cold rolled is just better for welding
They should k swap the forklift.
No bushings?
Stock motor mounts are being used. Look where the metal brackets are mounted to
5:59 k-swap LMAO!!!
Do you guys want that k20a3? I'll take it
Why is a Canadian working in inches and not metric?!?!
Would you guys be willing to make another set of these mounts to sell to me?
Touge factory makes them now
@@speedacademy
Yes, I know. I have researched all sorts of K-Series RWD mounts and prefer yours. Do you think you making another set to sell to me is a possibility?
Pick up a pallet with the forklift and stand on that...not that I've ever done that in any workplace.
That would have made for an uninteresting video, instead Dave stared death straight in the face!
