- Partway through the 2010-11 season, the Jazz began restructuring after Sloan's retirement and Williams' trade to the New Jersey Nets. Quin Snyder was hired as head coach in June 2014. With the development of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell into All-Stars, the Jazz launched themselves back into playoff contention.

I think the Jazz will forever be grateful to the Nuggets that they gifted them both Gobert and Mitchell. That's a big part of why their rebuild was successful. If they didn't make those trades I don't think the Jazz would be as competitive as they are today.

It’s a lot more than that. His explosive hesitations made him so hard to hard to guard on drives and shots, along with that it helped his playmaking so much, he had 3 good years but he should’ve never been in that best pg in the nba discussion the way he was.

No they weren’t lmao, people thought they were gonna go to the finals, they were the first seed and still lost to the clippers without Kawhi, because they don’t know how to schedule minutes and just play Royce O’Neal at the 5 until they played Zubac again
Nah, before the playoffs and the start of the season, people are saying they aint making the playoffs and they're getting swept by the grizzlies after losing game 1. And before the result of the clippers mavs series others are saying Mavs gonna sweep the clippers and beat them in 7. Then at the everyone was cofident that it's clippers in 4 in game 1. Then after going up 2-0 people are cofident taht they're heading to the finals. But, again, they didn't fix the flaws the rockets exposed them. They lack a true second star next to spida and being a small market team, people's gonna doubt you. Gobert couldn't score and plays like a role player in the playoffs. They're lacking perimeter defenders that can lock down 3 point shooters and their cap space is also very problematic. But seeing what they've done from scratch and how far they've devolped, it's far to say that they're the most overrated underrated team.

Just so everyone knows because I keep seeing it in the comments. Denver never drafted Mitchell or Gobert for themselves, they drafted both of those players for the Jazz because of a pre-draft trades, so it was the Jazz drafting those players not the Nuggets. Mitchell even mentioned this in his draft interview several times. The NFL is different, if there is a draft night trade the commissioner will announce it and then the appropriate team will be on the draft clock. The NBA doesn’t do this, the team still has to pick for the other organization they traded with and then the trade is announced later by the media. it’s dumb and I wish the NBA would switch the format to the same as the NFL.

What the Jazz really need is someone who can run the offense when Mitchell & Conley are benched. You have Ingles who could do that but I think it would be a lot better for him to play off ball. A PG off the bench would be great for them imo
