I went from carrying a Leatherman to a SAK a little over a year ago, and when you stop using a pliers based tool, you really start to get creative with this notch, among other tools on here. SAK makes you smarter!

@Neebell if you carry a leatherman you already did the thinking before purchase and you bought the right tool😂 dumb point anyways, why would you prefer a tool that makes you solve puzzles instead of just getting the job done

The wire stripper itself has a rough surface. You don't need to cut it with the blade first. Just get a wire small enough to fit the notch and bend and pull it. It will strip the wire by itself. No other tools needed. Most people don't know this but feel the notch with your nails, you'll see.

    • @nikgyver7

Amazing!! Who would know? I kind of ...kind of thought the notch had a function (use) but wasn't quite sure. Now I know!!! But don't you think Swiss Army Knives are like a toy? A knife is a tool, we all know that. And I do use my knife: The toothpick, the screwdriver on the bottle opener to tighten the knobs on my girlfriend"s closet doors, and the big blade to open boxes, etc. But I'd like to see the very first Swiss Army Knife. And did the Army From Switzerland really use these knives?

is more serious tool than it looks.quality,handy,solid.i was to the Greek army for 1.5years,my victorinox save me.it was so necessary for me.blade, flat screwdriver,as screwdriver and pry tool, saw, can opener, scissors, toothpick, pen was the most used tools.all the other mans ask for me my sak to used everyday.i hope to help you.thanks.

I recommend the SAK in combination with a large fixed blade knife. So you have one for the dirty tasks and one for food preparation and a scissor for your gf finger nails and even tweezers for her eyebrows...😉
So fixed knife for the men and SAK for the gentlemen

+NIKOS DOULAS To state the incredibly obvious: My knife is too useful to abuse the frame with high side leverage which would likely bend it beyond repair, my friend.
