The WRX never had a chance. 350’s and 370’s to the world.
Technically, the Subarus, Hondas, and Mitsubishis are not in the Zs class. Nissan only compare the Z to the Supra and the Cayman. It's the young kids out there who are spending all of their money on aftermarket upgrades to compete with a naturally aspirated 370z Keep in that the Z is a true 2 door, 2 seat sports car.
Having owned a money pit wrx and now a 370z - I agree completely. My Z stock handles better than my wrx did with thousands put into the suspension…. 02-07’s were tin can on wheels so maybe newer wrx is better?
Big thing with the Z is that it maintains compliance on even the most messed up public roads where the wrx rear end was all over the place in uneven bumpy pavement during hard turns…

WRX is the better platform if you go with modding IMO. You can make a WRX fast pretty cheap but you can't make a 370z AWD.
@@ErectileSceptile well now I ended up getting a 2013 Audi S4, much better bang for the buck when it comes to modifying it compared to 370z and wrx. Also awd. A simple ots tune ($600) for my s4 already makes 80+whp gains, compared to my wrx which needed at least $2.5k for tune and parts to make those kind of gains.

Stock intercooler should have the original engine cover to keep the cool air coming in, IAT is crucial lol. Should always be using a full recirc bpv as well. Catless dp with no ewg also risky. Especially with all the Wot on a non finished tune lol. Anyway good race

Well first get quality mods, take off the BOV...you dont need it on a FA20DIT wrx, the BPV is all you need. Take off the crap AEM charge pipe and get rid of that haggered OEM top mount lol. Who tuned you? My .02 if you are going to crap on parts go E30 and run the 370Z again. If i was in (Mexico) i would run him in my Stage 3 wrx.. as soon as i saw your mods i knew the 370Z would walk you but i didnt think he would put you to gapplebeees 😔

Agreed. Any change to a wrx or sti = dyno tune. Look at the car, wash the car = dyno tune. I don't miss that money pit, but it was fun while it lasted, but people just don't get it, it's not a "cheap" car to modify correctly and keep it reliable.

Yeah homies tune was super messed up and he had a boost leak thats why this wrx fixed everything and got retuned and became a monster check out my more newer videos on it racing alot of cars!

Used to have a 350z, ended up getting rod knock, so I bought a new WRX. WRX is way more fun to drive and much easier/cheaper to make power. But I definitely miss the sound of the VQ! Nice video.

Exactly. You can spend a bit of money and the WRX becomes very fast. But if you buy a 370Z you can't make it AWD without spending serious cash. And for high horsepower accel/grip I'd take AWD any day.
You probably had a DE then that burned oil maybe that’s probably why it developed rod knock lol My Hr doesnt burn any oil at all and pulls on my friends Sti especially from rolls but from digs he does get me but i slowly catch up. But all respect to the VQ’s out their 🙏🏽
@@DaytonaBlueHr yeah I had the DE rev up. So probably the worst vq engine lol but it was a fun car. My wrx is fun too though. Have fun racing with 370z’s. I miss the sound of the vq though. But wrx is beast from a dig

Nick Staxz Sounds good. I know most subies with issues were pre 18 ones. Maybe they improved.
The 2015+ Wrx is actually pretty darn reliable stock. The weak point is the rods and only when you take it up to about 350 wtq.
Build out the engine a bit and you're looking at probably the cheapest high powered AWD sports car. This is important because high power AWD > high powered RWD, launches and grip are much better in a AWD.

So the 370z is 330 something out the box the wrx is only 260 my boy here is stock other than intake and tune. This was expected. Lol
Both around 300 ish in this video but the wrx is wayyyy faster now the wrx is 400+ now and would destroy the 370x
